At first, I tried to be understanding because I knew I was buying a used vehicle, but the issues have continued and progressively gotten worse. Recently, the car has started randomly shutting off and, at times, won't start back up. Now the battery is completely dead, and the vehicle shakes when I try to accelerate. These aren't small inconveniences anymore--they've left me questioning whether I can safely and reliably depend on the car. It's extremely frustrating to make a major purchase and then have to worry about whether the vehicle will even get me where I need to go. I understand that buying a used car comes with some risk, but I still expected the vehicle to be in reasonably reliable condition when I purchased it. Having these problems begin so shortly after the purchase has been a very disappointing experience, especially considering how quickly the issues have escalated. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership have it thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic beforehand. Unfortunately, my experience has left me very disappointed, and based on what I've dealt with since purchasing the car, I cannot recommend this dealership.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this dealership…read more My husband purchased a 2007 Mini Cooper on July 11, 2026. After leaving the dealership, he only made it about 2 miles before smoke started coming from the vehicle and he lost electrical power. He was able to get the vehicle home, but due to the issues that occurred, we had the vehicle transported by car trailer to a Mini dealership in Naperville for a full diagnostic inspection. The vehicle was at the Mini dealership by July 14, 2026, where a full diagnostic report documented extensive issues and estimated repairs that far exceeded the value of the vehicle. When we contacted the dealership, we expected professionalism and a willingness to discuss what had happened. Instead, our concerns were dismissed. The staff showed little interest in hearing about the problems we experienced. During my conversation with the owner, rather than focusing on resolving the issue, the conversation became argumentative. I was accused of being vulgar during the discussion, which I do not believe was an accurate representation of my behavior. The owner ultimately ended the conversation by hanging up instead of working toward a resolution. To make matters worse, one of the dealership's employees publicly posted false and personal statements about me on Facebook after we raised concerns about our experience. Rather than addressing a legitimate customer complaint, an employee chose to publicly attack a customer who was trying to address a serious issue. That behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. We attempted to resolve this matter directly before filing complaints with the appropriate agencies. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend doing business here. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect, especially when a serious problem occurs almost immediately after purchasing a vehicle.

UPDATE: After…read moresharing our experience, I was contacted by the owner, Bob Oltean. He called me and asked me to explain what happened. I explained the situation again, my husband test drove the vehicle, purchased it, and within about 2 miles of leaving the lot, the vehicle began smoking. It was later inspected by specialized mechanics who determined the electrical unit had caught fire and melted. I was very clear that I was not making accusations. I simply stated that I do not know what happened between the test drive and when the paperwork was signed and the vehicle left the dealership. I was trying to have a conversation and understand how this situation could happen. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly became disrespectful. I was told I was "making accusations," and the owner ended the call by hanging up on me. The most disappointing part of this experience has been the lack of customer care and willingness to have a respectful conversation. A customer who has just experienced a major issue with a vehicle shortly after purchase deserves to be heard, not dismissed. This has been our personal experience. I encourage anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to do their research and make sure they feel confident before making a decision. Again to each thier own but I wouldn't recommend purchasing from any of his businesses. ~jaqulyn thomas~
