They don't tell you up front the hourly charge, any fees or that there is a large mark up on parts…read more This company has many departments. Rentals, auto repairs, tires, mowers, etc. They also have a plumbing company. We were in a bind because our plumber was ill and couldn't do our bath job that was in progress. Day one the plumber said he couldn't give us a price, would have to go back to his shop and work on it. During the job we asked 3 more times, and got the same response. He also informed us that if he didn't buy the parts that he couldn't guarantee his work. We should have taken that as a hint of what was to come. But this was our first remodeling job. We bought our own tub, sink etc. So all he had to buy was the pipes and all that go with that. The job was done but still no price. Finally got the bill after going out to the company, and it was too vague. All it said was Bath Remodel with a large amount due. He didn't remodel our bath, just did the pipes. I know that a breakdown for plumbers isn't common apparently, but we wanted one. My husband wasn't paying the high amount without a breakdown. After 3 more trips to their office, we finally got a breakdown. $140.00 per hour.... parts have approximately a 87% mark up to the best we can figure. Also, they charge you the fee for using a credit card. We don't recommend them neither will we use them for anything in the future. Lesson learned. Feels like a planned ripoff.. no price for the job up front or the hourly rate. All I can say good about the company was the guy at the front desk. He did what he could to help us.

This car dealership specializes in harassment. I've been in sales throughout my career, and these…read morepeople take their sales tactics to a whole other level. I simply called to see if they still had a van I saw online, and they kept calling me to try to set up appointments to see the van, even even though I clearly said after the first call that I did not know when I would able to come in. But they kept pushing to contact me and set up an appointment. I received multiple automated and personal texts, even though I opted out of the first automated one. Still continued to receive them. And I have received texts, calls, and voicemails from 2 sales representatives for the past 3 days. They do NOT take no for an answer, and they do not get the hint. Even after I called to tell them I was reporting them if they contacted me again, the guy called me right back and texted me to ask when I would be available to see the van. Are you kidding me? Yeah, don't waste your time going to this business, unless you like getting chased.

Called Jim Zarns the Manager which is arrogant and rude and stated they did nothing wrong. Beware is all I can say because in the last month after we have told everyone what is going on more and more stories people have told us of Courtesy doing this to people. We have contacted an attorney now that the other dealership is fixing under the warranty that Courtesy should have. I don't want this to happen to anyone else!!!!!

Recently I had one of the best customer service experiences ever in my life. I had been searching…read morefor a car part (tail light) for my 1997 Nissan 200SX SE-R. I searched most of the places you would normally think of - the dealer, local parts stores, even junk yards. Either I found items that were exorbitantly over priced (a junk yard tried to sell me an entire trunk lid at $250 for a $15 plastic light cover) or found nothing at all. So i decided to try eBay for my part. That's where I came across Bill Smith Auto Parts out of Danville, Illinois that was listing an item that sounded similar to what I wanted. Luckily enough they list a phone number on their eBay auction so that you know you are ordering the right part, and can confirm with a real person. (Try finding that very often) So I gave a ring to the store to find out more about my part. The representative I spoke with was polite, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the products the company was selling. In fact, when she found out that a car had just been crushed with the part I was looking for (only one in stock) she made an extra effort to find the part through a parts database. Then she gave me the number of a place that was able to find what I needed. That's right folks, she sent me to a possible competitor in service of the customer!! You have to understand that where I'm from, Northern VA / Washington DC Metro area, everyone is out to make a buck and helpful service is of a bygone era. So it was quite refreshing to have someone take the time to find out what was most helpful for me, the customer. This representative should be given a pat on the back for a job well done... And even though I didn't purchase the light from her company as originally intended, I now know of a store who hires people of integrity and knowledge. These are the things that will make me a customer at Bill Smith Auto Parts any used car parts in the future. So please, if you have a auto parts need.... don't hesitate to call on Bill Smith Auto Parts, Danville IL. I'm sure their customer service will leave you as speechless as it did me.
