The sales process was efficient and smooth and they did accommodate my schedule. The issues revolved around yhe crews. The supervisor was not receptive to following my requests and in a few occurrences, a little insulting. This happened on the pack and load side as well as the delivery. The big issue came later when I found a valuable item was missing and it had to be done on the packing side. The supervisor told me not much they can do as thier crew come and go as often as just a week. The owner did reach out and met with me personally which I give him credit for but the violation of rummaging though my alresdy packed items was disconcerting. read more

Original review: They moved me on August 1, 2018, from Fresno to Vallejo, CA. I purchased Full Value Protection insurance.. I have substantial damage to many pieces of furniture. I have sent photos and requested their claim form. I received a reply from the owner on February 21, 2019, informing me that he would speak with the movers, who had pointed out some of the damage to me, and get back to me in two weeks. I have yet to hear from him. It's now July 2019, almost a year after my move. They have repaired nothing and are refusing to repair damage they caused. Check their BBB rating. Movers did a terrible job and packed poorly. I was told I had the best crew in the company and that is sad if true. The biggest issues are the following below. I expected to be compensated fairly as I would expect to have expensive things in as good of condition as it was prior to move. The GM Anthony never asked me what items they should be more careful with, however they were careful with nothing and I have proof of how bad this job was done in many photos. I have other issues besides what is listed below but I expected at the very least I get the below list repaired to same condition as prior to move or replaced. I was never told I could get better coverage for my items. Movers dropped my water distiller denting it in two spots. Anthony told me I would get paid on replacement value. Movers messed up a drawer on my speaker tower. Anthony came out to fix this and ended up breaking it even more and now on one of the towers the drawer is unable to put in and he left it both taken apart. Anthony said he would replace both. Steel rack in garage the movers took apart at old house and reassembled at new house. When trying to put boxes on shelf it crashed down and I could have been seriously injured. Anthony came to fix this and we noticed several screws missing. Anthony said he would get these as they have to come from manufacturer. I have no update on this. My bbq grill has a broken wheel on it now from the move. My vintage Sansui amp has a missing foot and a scuff on it. Anthony said he is sending foot but he sent some knockoff that is not the right size or color. Other issues just to note are the scuffs on entertainment center and missing screws for a table. Anthony came out one time and just about everything still needed resolution after he left and he gave no compensation. I let him know days later that I also had the smashed wheel on my BBQ I noticed when I tried to move it. Anthony said he could no longer help me even after promising to replace things and get the parts for the other things. He said that his boss would be in contact, that was on August 5th and now it is the 27th and I have heard nothing from the boss. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. Before the movers came I had all of my diamond jewelry in my jewelry box- engagement ring, wedding band, earrings, necklaces. And after they moved my stuff, all of my diamond jewelry was no longer in my jewelry box. The individual ring boxes were there, but they were all empty. I had not told them to move the box, only my furniture. The manager Anthony apologized, promised to send me an insurance claim, but still hasn't two weeks later. I did not get a call from the owner. Courtesy Movers where fair and honest with her as to what would be her most cost effective options. The only discrepancy I had was on the day they came to pack the man in charge kept using my mother's bathroom, which we had her cat locked in for safety. But really that is a personal annoyance. The men that were loading were so polite and patient during a very stressful time. On the day they dropped off, the guys were equally patient and polite. They asked multiple times before leaving if there was anything heavy that they could move again so we didn't have to. I can't believe this company has a lower star rating than Mindful Movers, who completely ghosted me a few days before our large office move. I called Courtesy Movers 24 hours before my entire Administrative Team was supposed to be moving offices. I was extremely stressed about finding a company to move us on the day we planned for. Doris answered the phone and was so friendly and helpful and put me on the phone with Anthony right away. He came right out to the office to view the furniture and send me a quote/contract that same morning. We confirmed the move at noon on Wednesday for the following day. He was able to get 7 guys and 2 trucks out to us at 8:00am (they were right on time) and the employees were all very nice and dressed professionally in company shirts. They worked fast and packed the trucks extremely well. Anthony called me about an hour into the move to check on things. He even came out to the office to see how things were going and helped us calm down a cranky neighbor who was upset about us blocking the parking stalls with the truck. I liked that I was able to pay with our company AMEX, which was great not to have to coordinate getting a check cut and signed that day. The guys finished in 5 hours when we were expecting up to 8, which saved us money. This company is also licensed, which you can verify online. I would use them again and again. BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING!! (Fresno CA) We were quoted $450.00 for two people for four hours including the gas and 15 minute drive time to the new house. After the move they wanted to charge me almost $600. They showed up in the largest semi I have ever seen for a 950 sq ft 2 bedroom house. They did not even ask if that size truck could be parked close to the house. They had to park quite a distance away which added to the move time. Also what is a 10 minute drive to the new house took them over an hour before they were out of the truck opening the semi to unload. The driver did NOT know how to maneuver that large of a truck and it was painfully obvious as when they were backing down the 1/8 mile dead end road it took them almost 15 minutes AND they nearly took out a couple of mailboxes. They showed up at 8:15. We left the old house at 10:15. They began unloading some time after 11:00 and finished at 1:05. This is a total of 4 hours. Since we were quoted the gas and drive time were included I gave them a check for 4.25 hours and then they started arguing with me in my own living room. Trying to get me to pay for their lack of driving skills and the undue delay in starting to unload. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE read more

I've moved more than a dozen times in my life and hired movers for at least a third of them. I've used Mayflower, Bekin, and a few smaller companies and Courtesy Moving Service is by far the best company yet. They wrap everything carefully and treat it like it's their own. Despite the speed with which they loaded our things, nothing was damaged when it arrived and that's a first. The guys were friendly, professional, and efficient. What more can you ask for from a moving company? I don't plan to move again anytime in the near future but when and if I do, Courtesy Moving is the first place I'll call. read more

The quote for moving was $1,100. and they charged $1,650. They promised 15 boxes for closet stuff, they had 7 damaged. They damaged so many things and tore and soiled so much of my clothing it is not possible to list it. They were like hiring guys off of the street, no skill or planning and plenty of breaks and "getting lost on the way" for an extra 45 minutes. We ended up not even taking everything we had been quoted for and they had to bring an extra truck because they didn't have enough room. I believe this was from their lack of properly loading the truck. They ruined an antique trunk that I told them had to be put on a dolly and not carried by the handles. Damaged a 40" flat screen. Lots of time standing around waiting for one guy to tell them what to do. Oh yes, they also damaged the bricks on the front steps of the house, after I reminded them and the guy who did the bid previous to the move about bricks being softer than concrete and to protect the edges. Guess what? Cardboard doesn't work. (One of the clothing boxes.) Worst move of my life and that includes the ones where I was young and broke and had to move everything myself with a U-Haul, at least then nothing was damaged. read more

We used Courtesy Moving in August for a move (1200 square foot house) across town. We had everything packed and ready to go when they got there in the morning and they were right on time. They used three guys and a truck and emptied my house in under three hours. I thought that was incredible. I watched as they moved everything and I could tell they were being careful with my belongings. Once we got to the new house they quickly unloaded everything in less than two hours. They even put my furniture back together that they disassembled for the move. We are still unpacking after a month, but we have not found anything that was damaged during the move. We were very happy with our experience with Courtesy. The employees were great and made me feel confident that they knew what they were doing.
