It was disappointing and frustrating, especially with what I'm working through with my health. At the end of the day, when you're dealing with emerging, concerning health issues and just trying to get some answers, you hope your primary doctor might show a little flexibility...especially for their last patient of the day. Everything came back well and they gave me a complete and detailed report of the tests. He and his staff did a good job instructing me to fast for 12 hours before the tests for accuracy. Previously, I had another physician's office give me some unfounded and frankly dangerous advice and Dr. Harris helped me confirm that truth and get things into perspective. Being able to trust your doctor is key and I trust Dr. Harris. As for the dollars and cents, while some providers will try to get a co-pay on every entry through the door, Dr. Harris only collected my insurance co-pay once and only on the visit when we went over the results. Very young physicians assistant or nurse practitioner was resistant to giving me 2 Valium for my back. I'm almost 60 not addicted to benzos and know what works! My back was out and Valium helps relax my muscles. He did wnd up giving the prescription to me but after I had to listen to a long explanation as to why other medications (that I've tried before) would work better. A very long and tiring day.
