I'm fairly new to town, but have seen several shows at Theatre B; each time I've been impressed…read more They don't do 'big name' productions--fine by me, as I have little desire to see another "Twelfth Night" or "The Fantasticks"--but lesser-known shows that leave you thinking. The company currently performs in a former school gym, but the space has been transformed into an intimate theatre with good acoustics and comfortable tiered seating. Settings and props are pared down--often ingeniously so--which allows the action to flow nicely. Give them a try and I think you'll be impressed (particularly if Carrie Wintersteen is in the cast--she ranks in the small handful of best actors I've seen, and is completely captivating).
