Visiting Grand Isle and flying out of BTV, I used 41,000 Marriott points to cover lodging (including taxes) for one weekend night in late May 2025, staying at the Courtyard by Marriott at Burlington Williston 177 Hurricane Lane Williston, Vermont 05495 USA. The reservation could have been canceled at no charge two days before my arrival. I was greeted as a Silver Elite, and understood that with that status I was entitled to free wi-fi. A feature I am increasingly pleased with is the ability to access my Netflix account - easily accomplished here. The room may or may not have been an upgrade - I found it to be well-suited for business travel. It had ample desk space and lighting, had multiple USB ports and electric outlets, and the bed was firm and comfortable. The entire room was spotless, and to its credit (apart from two complimentary bottles of water) there was no sign of single-use plastics. The bathroom was well laid out, such that I could operate the shower controls without getting wet. There were hand washcloths and a well-positioned grab bar in the shower/tub combination. The room was on the first floor and offered a nice two-chair patio outside nestled among the tall shrubbery, allowing a private area right at the room. It took me about 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the airport, and - as was driving a rental - I was able to fill up the gas tank within a block or so of the hotel. Check-out was seamless, and throughout the stay there were no unpleasant surprises. No disturbing noises, and if I wanted breakfast I could have paid $15 for a hot and cold buffet - not something I was interested in, but it's nice to know it was available. (BTV has an all-day breakfast counter under the name of Skinny Pancake, one located before and one after TSA's checkpoint, which offered an excellent menu of locally sourced meals.) The airport's restaurant offered a well-stocked bar and service staff that were engaging and efficient. I shopped around for the best offers in the Burlington area, making my choice about six weeks ahead of time. I've been a regular visitor to the area over the past thirty years, and it's true the rooms are more expensive than I would have expected. That said, I am fully satisfied that I got my money's worth (or my points' full value) for this brief stay. read more

So this could easily be a 4 star hotel buttttt the furniture in our big king room suite was the WORST most uncomfortable ever lol. Bed not bad, shower great, plenty of towels, a kitchenette with an off balance fridge so have to tilt it to close the door. TVs worked fine and a little balcony with absolutely vile looking spikes on the outside light to keep birds away I'd presume. Friendly staff at check in, no breakfast included. We would skip this place in our future Burlington adjacent stays. read more

Hmm, not really sure, how to rate this place. Okay- the staff - excellent!! Very nice and kind The rooms- bad! Really really bad. This place is old and tacky. It is more like a skii resort which needs major renovations. The rooms and common areas are dirty. There are webs all around, even on stairs, laundry room, ice rooms. When you enter room you have a wired feeing of opening a room locked for 10 years and it is dusty from windows and above your bed. The bathtub was cracked and everything was just so old, broken. The staff however is amazing, when you the breakfast at reception, the chef, the welcome staff, receptionist all are super kind and friendly. They are trying their best to keep this property running. read more

They are under renovation but nonetheless, we experienced mild inconvenience. Ample complimentary parking space. Breakfast is at $10.95 buffet. What a fantastic stay our family had this past weekend! The owner is the type of person that Marriott should be investing in. Pros: + Completely renovated, from top to bottom. All of the pictures you see online are of the pre-renovation property. It is now brought up to par for what you would expect from a Courtyard. + Staff are exceptional. The owner was there on multiple days while we stayed, and he was beyond kind and helpful. + Quiet. One of the most important parts for a hotel stay is that it is quiet at night. This property had well-sealed doors and good wall insulation. Cons: - No EV charger on site. Not a deal breaker as there is a fast charger less than a mile away, but would have been convenient. 100% would return for a future stay. read more

Checked in 7/9. I called ahead 2x Hours before check in). First call- I asked about washer and dryer. Talked to a guy 7/9 (11:22am). Asked about washer/dryer. Was told they use quarters. Fine. Called again at 2: 46pm and asked specifically if the pool was working and asked if there was a hot tub (there isnt, not ideal but fine). The man I talked too assured me everything was good. I pushed through an online registration for 1 room. Checked in at 6 30p after a long day of driving. Was told dryer was broke. Was told the pool was out of order. The pool sign said it was down for routine maintenance however which indicates it having been a planned down time (vs. something breaking). My ASD kid is FREAKING OUT. Thus, why I called ahead. Super super frustrated. We would have absolutely cancelled our reservations. The dryer got fixed and we were able to do our laundry. The pool was a huge deal for our family and never got fixed. I came downstairs to get quarters and asked the woman behind the counter "do you have breakfast in the morning". She indicated that yes, breakfast was out between 6:30 and 9 30. I assumed complimentary breakfast like all the other hotels I stayed at and therefore didn't ask. This morning I came down and there was a sign out for the price for breakfast. I didn't ask and she didn't say that there was a cost. I spoke to the manager, Donna and the man who fixes the pool. At the end of the day was i upset all night after a hard day of travel with an upset family-yes. Do I understand that crap happens? Yes. In an ideal situation, where possible, I think it would have been excellent customer service for the man who fielded my calls to try and find a way to call me back to provide the latest on the state of the pool so we could have made an informed decision about admission. That, or atleats cross reference the registration numbers with the numbers that called in. I know things like this arent always practical but as a person who deals in high level service recovery at a major Healthcare system, I know the lengths that I would go through to make things right and be proactive vs reactive. I will say this: talked with Donna the manager and she was sincere and kind and tried to make as much right as possible. That's hard for a customer like me who was rooted in the frustration that came from a BAD night with ASD kid melt downs paired with a long day of driving and exhaustion. Donna's ability to see it from my perspective was key in helping. I also liked the blackout shades. Helped a weary family really sleep. read more

My wife and I decided to stay here for the last night of our honeymoon. Place was sort of a disappointment. We were greeted by Cassandra who was very pleasant. We were told that we could get breakfast in the morining that was a buffet. The price is $10.95 a plate. I feel that this is silly as you are playing $120 for a room and every other hotel we had stayed in had free breakfast. As we headed to our room we were greeted with a sign that read we are renovating. We were greeted by a really hot room that was sort of like a jail cell. The tv read welcome Brianna. Mine of my wife's name is Brianna. The bed was very uncomfortable so much that I didn't get much sleep. The shower door didn't want to stay closed and kept rolling open. The carpet has been recently replaced but it seems like who ever did it didn't finish. There was a huge stain on the floor. Parking is free and we found a spot really close to the door. I booked a room 11 months ago for my daughter's graduation and was informed via email my reservation had been moved to another hotel. Not a Marriott property and not the same quality rating. I secured a great rate and now they will not honor my reservation because they are charging two times or more the rate I confirmed. It's everything you would expect from a Marriott Courtyard. Very cookie cutter. - clean - modern - stylish - comfortable - near foods, retail, restaurants Kudo's to their business center! I was able to manage it easily and did some research for our next location and even booked another Marriott :-) Breakfast is NOT free! However it never is at Courtyard. $11.99 for buffet but I went up to get a cup of coffee to hold me over and the attendant provided that to me complimentary. Yes! I did use the pool and it was refreshing... there is also a nice firepit outside as well for socializing. I wish it had a hot tub though. I would stay there again but I do prefer MRI or TPS better. read more

Stay was from 7/14/21 to 7/18/21. Hotel exterior and interior common areas are clean and look fine. No indication on hotel's website that on premise restaurant and pool are closed. Having a restaurant onsite was a primary reason for choosing this hotel, mainly to have breakfast before heading out for the day. They have Starbucks coffee in the lobby from 6-10am but until today there was no other coffee in the lobby, as is the case in most other hotels. The room was clean, decor was fine but air conditioning was not consistently cold. The room would get too warm, etc. Not enough towels in the room when we arrived and no back ups on toileties or paper products. Had to request everything. No hair dryer in the room, had to ask for one. Seems like a lot of cutting corners and it shows. Tried to use my mobile hotspot and it seems like it was blocked. Location is fine, drive to Burlington is about 15 minutes and it is an easy drive. read more

I mean... Its a room. A pricey room... with low water pressure in the shower, a heating/ac unit that needs instruction, an empty mini fridge, and not the most polite of staff. Checking in was easy, but not a single "thank you" our entire time here. At checkout the price I was quoted when booking was not adhered to, but as soon as I brought it to the front desk it was resolved. Beds were super comfy and it was easy to find, which was great for driving from Boston to Montreal over a couple days. I dont think ill book again, for a few more dollars ill stay in Burlington proper. read more

I've waited a few weeks to review this hotel. When we showed up we discovered the hotel is under construction. You have to use the side entrances. At the checkin desk when I asked if there was going to be a lot of noise I was told "oh they're just painting the front of the "Lobby" so NOT all they were doing! The whole place was torn up and there is equipment all over the parking lots. I had a reservation for a room with two beds and they gave me a suite with one king and a pullout sofa. Ok whatever I can live with that....except when it was bedtime and we tried to pull out the sofa it was broken and unusable. The one bright spot was the maintenance guy who came right away. He was good, although unable to fix the sofa. I suggested if no one was next door we could use that room. He made it happen despite the desk clerk trying to get him to move another sofa in by himself! I actually made the reservation on the phone with a Marriott elite rep-I can't believe we weren't told about the construction. This hotel was decent. I've stayed in a few billion Marriotts in my time, and this one was eh. I called ahead for early check in. They said no. LIterally, the bride's family had to call and yell to get them to put it on my account. Still no promises. No matter how busy your Saturday night is, you know what time check out is, and you know who is checking out. I mean, it's in the computer. But apparently, they don't know and can't "guarantee". Give me a break and throw me a GD bone here, ladies. You wouldn't want to have to get dressed for a wedding in a McDonalds bathroom anymore than I would have. Get with the program. But when I arrived, despite the young girl at the counter having a list of availble early check-in rooms next to her telling me that they had nothing, the manager was extremely helpful, and got me in a room right away. The room was very small and, although it had a king sized bed, felt like a closet. I thought I'd get a litttleeeeee more since I was far from a city. It also smelled a little smoky, I thought. Williston, VT is a nice small town somewhere near South Burlington.. or something.... pretty area. The hotel is nice and close to a highway and the gas station to fill up for the ride home. read more

Musty and dingy rooms. It smells of smoke in the hallways of the non-smoking rooms and in the elevator. The food is subpar.

We stayed here after the state of VT had announced full reopening from COVID restrictions, for a multi-state soccer tournament and it was not a great experience. We believed the hotels services would be running. No one informed us differently and the price was not reflective of lesser amenities. The pool was closed. There was no food service of any kind and on the first day of our stay there wasn't even coffee. The elevator was broken and we were told it could not be fixed until the coming Tuesday. As a result of this constellation of omissions we were left scrambling for a way to feed our athlete before early games or post event, my 80 year old mother had to walk the stairs, and the young people didn't really have much to do as they expected to swim. If we had just been told, we could have planned. The rooms were fine although our bathroom had a lot of mold in the shower stall and our mini-fridge did not work. (So couldn't plan to feed our athlete ourselves for early games either.) One high spot was the bartender Rick who felt bad that things were pretty disorganized and was killing himself trying to be accommodating. Hopefully they can pull it together soon. read more

Even though they have free wifi and its clean, I just was so underwhelmed by the catty high-schoolish behaviour of the staff. Annoying. Very. Both my husband and my teen son felt taken back by it. I find when you stay at this Courtyard in the winter, the rooms are brutally cold the moment you step inside. I think the ownership is trying to cut a corner by intentionally lowering the temperature. Over the course of the night the room never seems to completely warm to the temperature that you set the thermometer to. I think the ownership should strongly look at upgrading the heating and ventilation system immediately. This review has been posted from somebody that earlier in 2016 qualified to become a lifetime gold elite member. I have stayed at Mariott properties more than 500 x over the course of my life. There have been other situations where it took more than 45 minutes to warm up the room to 72 degrees because the ownership let the room sink to 50 degrees when there was nobody occupying the room. read more

Clean, peaceful hotel away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Burlington, but only a few minutes away by car. The hotel has been renovated, nice decor, there is a Starbucks in the lobby and computers with internet connection for the guests to use. The fitness center is small but impeccable, with high end equipment. We did not try the pool. The room decor is tasteful and up-to-date. Rooms have a balcony with a nice view of the courtyard, which has comfortable guest chairs. This hotel is a good option when staying in the Burlington area. read more

What's not to like.... the location is fine. The parking is good. The room is clean. The hotel is well kept. Okay, maybe it doesn't have very much of a Vermont flavour to it, but then, it's a big brand name hotel. I do like that the bed was facing the window and not on a common wall. Good front desk service. As with all hotels that have high definition TVs, I have to ask the same question... why get a high definition TV if you aren't going to give us high definition signals? We stayed there on company business from April to August so I know a little about this hotel. The hotel is basic, A/C is loud or not functioning. The breakfast is expensive and turned from mediocre to really bad when they changed the chef. There are several of us that travel Burlington for business and we will no longer stay here. Here is why: 1. Expensive for the room you get. 2. $14 for a crappy breakfast 3. They charge $5 for WiFi even if you're a platinum elite member 4. Nobody acknowledges you when you walk in the door, even after living there for 5 months 5. 1 washer 1 dryer 6. Stayed over for a short overnight stay prior to flying out of BTV airport. Booked via Priceline NYOP and received a clean updated room with a king size bed. Small dorm style refrigerator was a bonus. Complimentary wifi. Hotel seems to be recently remodeled and is consistent other Courtyards I have stayed in over the past year in Clarksville, Tennessee and Toronto, ON. Overall a nice, restful stay before our flight out the next day. I must state though that pricing directly through Marriott or other 3rd party sites for standard rate rooms seems extremely expensive ($200/night?) We booked via Priceline NYOP at $76.22 including taxes which makes this a good room for the money. $200/night is another story. read more

My family stayed here one night before an early morning flight. We frequent Marriott brand hotels and rarely have poor experiences. This one was on-par. The location is convenient for getting to the airport. It's a fairly quiet location but within a couple of miles from several dining/shopping options. The hotel is well-kept and the rooms are a decent size. We stayed in a king room where there was a couch sitting area and desk. We requested a crib for our daughter and were pleased that it was waiting in the room upon our check-in, as was a cute little lamb bath toy that she loved. The room was equipped with a Keurig machine, though oddly enough, my mother-in-law's room (which was a two-queen "suite") only had a regular, old coffee maker. The staff was courteous and helpful. There was ice lemon water available in the lobby. Everything was comfortable and went smoothly. No complaints! read more

Great location and price when staying in Burlington for some skiing. They just renovated the entire third floor and the rooms are great. Keurig with plenty of k-cups, a couch, and the place has a hot tub that isn't listed on the website. Great for a soak after skiing. We'll definitely stay here again. read more

During our visit, I guess someone though that hammering things in the wall at 7AM was okay. Oh and don't get any lattes at the restaurant because they don't know what they're doing. Obviously this isn't a five star hotel, but gave me five stars of satisfaction. I like it being smaller than most Marriotts. Room was very clean. The bed linens were stain free and fresh and the bathroom towels were fluffy and absorbent with plenty of them. Whirlpool was plenty hot and nicely quiiet. Room 213 faced parking lot on second floor with pretty view of trees and no highway sounds. No ice machine or elevator sounds either. We didn't partake, due to timing, but they have a nice little bar offering a limited drink selection with quiet seating in the lobby. The $259 a nite rate is more than I'd like, but it was uvm move in weekend so there wasn't much choice. read more

At this price point you would at least expect comfortable beds/pillows and a decent quality (hot) breakfast buffet. King bed was terribly lumpy, pillows were the cheapest foam ever made, towels were as thin as rags and rough as sandpaper and the breakfast buffet included tough bacon, greasy sausage and cold scrambled "eggs". Adding insult to injury, two nights set us back almost $400. Don't make the same mistake. read more

Lemme start by saying I understand and respect all covid regulations and restrictions- I've been working in retail the entirety of the virus being at large so I get how thorough and strict places and people have to be. With that said- I explained to the person at the front desk the night of the 28th, Saturday, that I was staying at the hotel for my last night in town and moving to CT the next day. He gave me a huge attitude about having a Connecticut license- which I really don't believe to be that odd considering I'd only lived in Burlington since September and I didn't feel the need to get a new one. His reaction was really unprofessional and just rude. There's ways to go about these covid restrictions and his attitude was really offputting. He continued to watch my every move when I left later that night to get something from the gas station down the street and honestly just really creeped me out. We had a trip to Burlington - without knowing there was a big conference that week-end - and searched for an hotel for hours before finding one. Stayed here while skiing at Stowe Mountain. Hotel is very clean. The staff here for extremely helpful and certainly cared about our stay I will definitely stay again. It is only about 15 minutes to Burlington and 45 minutes to Stowe Mountain Lodge. They have a nice lounge area where we were able to spend time with our friends that had another room. We got lost trying to find the hotel and called the main number and got "Nikki" who was so pleasant and directed us. On our arrival (early) she found us a clean room to check into and from then on, just did everything possible to ensure we had a great stay. Local directions, hints, suggestions, places to go, shop, tour and eat were appreciated so much. And when we left, she made certain that we knew our business was appreciated and that she hoped we would return. She was so excited to hear about the things we had done, and though she must hear this all day, she seemed happy and excited for us. Great job! Nice clean hotel spacious and nicely appointed.
