Great lobby with nice TV booth.

Finally! A Courtyard Marriot that I'm totally pleased with from check in to check out. The hospitality is what makes this place excellent. The Avecado toast is different, packaged in paper and not in plastic. The lattes yummy. Cleanliness is a check. Pool and comfort also a check. Would not mind coming back to this one.

Big room was clean. Wonky TV set up on the right wall with a short arm so it wouldn't swing out.

I think this is an example of my ideal hotel: great staff, quiet experience, clean room and everything is up to date with no maintenance problems. If every hotel experience was like this I would have to retire from Yelping! Staff at the front were always super nice and very responsive. Note that after getting your room card the elevator is at the end of the hall behind the bar to your right. Room was clean and roomy. The bathroom was just awesome. I only wish my bed faced the TV not the 1/2 window. It wouldn't fold all the way out so I felt like I was at the far left seat in a theater. The room was wonderfully quiet and I enjoyed the bed/pillows.

Beautiful property, and the room was nice too. we found it clean and quite. The have breakfast which has both options of free buffet which is really good and buy what you want restaurant and a Starbucks There's also very nice laundry room to do your laundry in with 4 washing machine and 8 dryers. There is also a Marriotte Towns place Suites that is connected to this place. Looks great for families with lots of room outside to play

The hotel inside is pretty deceiving, it's definitely a front. The hallways are old and outdated. The person who checked us in didn't ask for identification, then she didn't even direct us to the elevators. Apparently it's two hotels in one. When we walked back to the other side we went to our room and it was never cleaned. With covid you would think they'd be more cautious. There is no point of being a marriot envoy member, they just switched us rooms but that left a bad taste in my mouth. How does that happen? So disgusting. Definitely not worth $110 a night.

Black hairs all over the tub when we arrived. So gross

We decided to make a last minute trip to Lubbock for the Tech/UT game. We made a reservation at this hotel because it's halfway between Dallas and Lubbock. We knew we'd be too tired Friday night to make the 5 hour drive. There was no parking available when we got here. The lot is pretty tiny. We were forced to park on the street that was really dark and has no street lights. When we entered the hotel it looked nice. It was clearly a newer or newly remodeled hotel. We checked in and went to our room. Our room looked nice when we walked in till we really looked close at everything. The bathroom had black hair everywhere. There were long hairs stuck all over the tub and on the sink. When I walked into the bathroom barefoot one got stuck to my foot. So gross. I wouldn't have been as creeped out if we'd stayed there the day before and I didn't have blonde hair. We could then assume it was maybe from me. But no. We had just walked in and I have long blonde hair. I went to turn the light off before bed and noticed two giant boogers stuck to the wall. Who picks their nose and sticks it on the wall?!?! What is wrong with people? And why was this not cleaned off?? The walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbor playing music at 5:30am. I also heard our other neighbors alarm go off a good 6 times before they got up. The people above or below us slept with hr tv oh because I could hear it all night. I could even tell they were watching Love it or List it. That's how thin the walls/floors are. Overall I was not happy with this hotel. They really need to look into cleaning up after previous guests. I would not recommend staying here.

    Great room!

The hands down best hotel in Abilene. Fantastic rooms, huge bathroom and a Starbucks/Bar in the lobby. Conveniently located right off I-20.

Looking for a wedding venue? There truly are not enough…read morewords to thank Thomas for everything he did for us during our wedding. From the moment we started working with him, we felt supported, cared for, and completely at ease. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but Thomas had a way of making everything feel manageable and calm. On our wedding day, he was everywhere we needed him to be without us ever having to ask. He handled every detail with so much professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. Because of him, John and I were able to be fully present and soak in every moment instead of worrying about logistics. That is such a priceless gift on a day you can never get back. What stood out most was how much heart he put into his work. We never felt like "just another event." He truly cared about us, our families, and making sure our day was everything we hoped it would be. By the end of it all, Thomas didn't just feel like our venue coordinator -- he felt like part of the day itself and honestly became a friend. He danced with me and our guests, celebrated alongside us, and brought such a fun, positive energy to the entire evening. Looking back, I can honestly say I had the BEST team ever, and Thomas was such a huge part of that. We are beyond grateful for the role he played in one of the most important days of our lives. Thank you, Thomas, for helping create memories we will cherish forever.

We got in a little after noon to see new exhibits that had genuinely just opened for the season that day. The museum is very quiet and, thanks to road construction, a little confusing to get to, but it is worth the drive and adventure. As we arrived, we noticed that a wedding was being set up in their courtyard and event space, and we were in awe of how cute the space was for a wedding. On the first floor was the Gail Norfleet collection, where we were amazed by these multi-layered plexiglass paintings that added depth to her floral pieces and recreated rooms. It is such a unique style. Gail's use of color is quite impressive. On the second floor sat the other two new exhibits. The first was Focus on Photography: Selections from the Permanent Collection, which includes a diverse and vast collection of still images printed on numerous materials such as gelatin, inkjet, tintype, and metal, giving each image a unique display. As a photographer myself, this was my favorite exhibit. My girlfriend's favorite was the Cindi Holt collection showcasing colorful, prairie-inspired pieces. Other areas included the play zone that has the tower challenge and the history exhibits on the third floor focusing on downtown Abilene and the Texas railway. I'm excited to return to the Grace Museum next time I'm in Abilene when new exhibits are on display. What a cute and small museum! Atmosphere: Great new theater. Plenty of options for each show. Several different options for viewing whether you are a 3D fan or not. If u aren't into 3D then u can watch the movie in a regular old theater. If u like the best audio and video experience without 3D, u can watch it in XD. And if u like a little adventure but still not in 3D then u can sit in a DBox seat. Each of these options are available in 3D as well if that is your style. The 2 greatest features of this theater however are the reserved seating and the reclining seats. It is so nice not to have to show up for your show an hour or 2 early in order to get those prime seats right in the middle. Now u just pick your seats online and u r good to go. The reclining seats are just as amazing. Soooo much better than plain Jane. The theater temperatures have been spot on at every visit so far as well. I usually have to wear a hoodie to stay warm. Now just a long sleeve tee will do it. 2 Stars Food: not such a big candy selection but they make up for it in everything else. In a big way. Great popcorn. They have the awesome drink machines that u can choose hundreds of options from. Huge Icees. They also offer lots of snack foods like peanuts and chips. Same main meal type options are also available such as pizza, hot dogs, and nachos. All in all it's a pretty nice variety. Would love a bunch of extra candy options though. 1 Star Service: Always good so far. Everyone seems very nice and they are always extremely helpful. Getting tickets is easy and checking in to theater is also easy. 2 Stars.

Instead, I walked into what felt like a mall on tax‑free weekend meaning it was lively, loud, and full of folks with the same idea. Thankfully, I'd already bought my tickets through Fandango, so I was able to breeze past the ticket line like a dream only to be snatched back into reality when it came to the concession line! Now, the concession line... that's where the plot twist happened. One single‑file line moving slower than traffic on a Monday morning. I took one look, decided my peace was worth more than popcorn, and headed straight to my seat. Like a bad Monday morning, I decided I'll just go in later for the popcorn. The auditorium itself was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. But then I met the D‑BOX seats...the $20‑per‑person motion seats I'd splurged on for both me and my husband. Let's just say they looked a little "experienced". Worn enough to make me pause and have a quick internal conversation with the Lord praying that I didn't leave with anything that I didn't come with. Luckily though, I did go prepared in long sleeves and pants. But here's the surprise: while those seats looked like they had been around the block more than a few good ole times, they WORKED like they understood the assignment. Once the movie started, they shook, tilted, and rumbled. It felt like a mini amusement‑park ride, and honestly, it made the movie even better. Despite their "well‑loved" appearance, they delivered a fantastic experience to the point I considered having a cigarette afterward...except I don't smoke, so I left with a satisfied grin!
