One of the worst experiences I've had at this hotel chain. They don't let you know up front that you need to request full room service when it comes to cleaning your room. They only provide half service which is emptying the trash, replacing coffee and the toiletries. However last night they forgot to check if we need more body wash. We were out, went downstairs to get more and was told they don't have access to it because housekeeping keeps it locked up, so instead they suggested we use shampoo, yes 'f'ing SHAMPOO, to wash our bodies with then gave us 4 bars of hand soap instead. This morning we went downstairs and requested that our room be fully cleaned, the guy wrote our room number down. Came back late tonight only to find the room wasn't cleaned, body wash wasn't even refilled. Just towels and the garbage. We had to wake up 6am the next morning, all I wanted to do was take a shower and hop in the bed. But instead I was met with an un clean room. I went down to the front desk and told them the room wasn't cleaned, AGAIN and that we still didn't have body wash. He claimed that the person told us wrong that they don't lock the body wash up. His solution was to send us back up to a dirty room with body wash containers. I told my fiancé to request we be moved to a new room that was clean. We were offered free breakfast but that doesn't make up for the horrible experience that could have been easily managed, but not at this location. read more

One of the nicer Courtyards I've stayed in. This is usually my budget, close to work Marriott of choice. Excellent staff, newly built and great outdoor area. Will stay here again. read more

We were in Madison Mississippi for a weekend Birthday party. We had eaten junk food all day. We got to the hotel around 8:00 pm. We were hungry and decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. Much to our surprise it was right on par with prices. The salad was huge, fresh and delicious! The menu is limited. I would definitely recommend eating at their restaurant! The hotel room was very clean. The bed slept very well! Overall experience was excellent! read more

Great newer Courtyard with one caution... the pillows and mattresses are both uncomfortable. Other than that a great value. Keifer's greek restaurant nearby have the best gyro and cottage fries!!! read more

Nice location, friendly staff, comfy bed, clean room. The fitness center is well equipped. Overall, I was pleased with my stay. Unfortunately I could hear my neighbors having private time with one another, besides that everything about my stay was wonderful. I would stay here again if in the area read more

I was in town for a wedding, and this was the location of the wedding party. Reservation was the double queen. The room itself was spacious, with a clean and new bathroom. I called ahead to inform them that due to several delays with my flight, I would be arriving at 1am early the next day, instead of the day of my reservation. So, the front desk checked me in so that my reservation would not be canceled. I'm glad I did that. I would have been upset had they canceled without even informing us due to something not in our control? So we arrived maybe 2am. Got our room keys and went up. But looking back, I realize they never gave the wifi password, it was not listed on the key, never told us about any breakfast (but they did have a mini market to buy food), never told us about check-out time. You know all the basic info you get when checking in at a hotel. The stay overall was not great. We never got our room cleaned after asking specifically for a full room clean more than once. No clean towels the entire stay. We had to come down to get them each day. Then, when we arrived back at the hotel on our last day, our door was actually open. I was shocked. We checked our belongings, and we don't think anything was taken, but did someone enter? Was it staff? The room was not clean, so I don't think it was staff? We had definitely closed it as we had left. The only silver lining was that there was no extra charge for a late check-out, at least I hope! Overall, they need a major revision of customer service. The price definitely did not match the service. read more

I stayed here a couple of nights when I was temporarily displaced due to a hurricane. The hotel looks like a typical modern day Courtyard Marriott and everything was as expected. The room was okay for the most part, but there was a long string of hair on the towels. We were able to easily refresh our towels and get whatever we needed throughout our stay. The location was good, close to several food options and it was easy to navigate to Interstate 55 as needed. The general area was also very nice. If needed, I think I'd be okay with staying here again. read more

Very disappointing! There was no blow dryer or extra blankets. The handicapped room had shampoo and soap out of reach for the tub bench. The free breakfast was scant at 8 AM. Parking was very far away. The only staff with which we interacted was an extremely pleasant lady - the only bright spot in an extremely overpriced room. read more

I'm so disappointed in this Marriott. I have never experienced a manager that doesn't care about guest service. We checked in to a loud party which is fine. However in the morning I noticed upon waking up there was 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf. When I called down to guest services and asked if they could bring up another regular coffee I was asked to come down myself to get because they were understaffed just walk out to find two employees having a cigarette break outside. We left around 10am and came back around 3:30 to find our room still hadn't been taken care of. The cleaning crew was on our floor just a door behind ours, so I quickly use the restroom to allow them to resupply our room just to find out they left. So I went to the front desk to ask if our room would be addressed just to find out that no, it wouldn't be. They were understaffed and would take care of it tomorrow. Unbelievable for a Marriott in my experience with the brand. So fine, they're not going to clean our room. It's a Saturday night, so finally without all the crazy people maybe I could finally relax by the bar. Nope, the bar isn't open, so the manager suggests we go next door to another bar where I find out from the bartender that 4 additional couples have been urged to go some place else. This is not the Marriott that I have loved and I am sad that this is who is representing them now. A shame for the Marriott brand to say the least. I will never stay here again. The only thing I can say for this place is the location. But me myself will be staying at Hilton from now on. read more

Great stay. Location is great for a getaway especially when you wanna be near the city but not in the city. I loved the room. I need the couch/lounger for my own bedroom. I would stay again. Front desk and house keeping was friendly. Took off one star just cause it wasn't enough towels in the room. I would choose this destination again! read more

OMG! I couldn't ask for a beer hotel experience. The gentleman who checked me in recognized my name, associated it with the recently aired movie by the same and treated me like royalty... I travel--A LOT-- for the work I do. Ain't gone lie, it's often lonely work going from city to city, hotel room to hotel room. By this gem in Mississippi made all the difference. AND before he recognized me he was ABSOLUTELY present, and gentlemanly. I'd stay here, again with out a second thought whatsoever. read more

Lied and said there was no suite upgrades available for the night. Hotel was empty and suites were still available to be booked online

I left a review on the Courtyard Madison MS. website that they sent me after staying there and I went back to update the review and the review was not there. At least on Yelp you get all of the reviews not just the good ones. Refresher is: My Husband and I stayed at this Hotel. Very bad experience. We have had our Marriott Membership for 30 years and always had a Great Experiences until we stayed here. Checking in the Asst. night manager Beasley, informed us very rudely and being short to us, it is common routine to always overbook. So he gave our reserved, conformation King room away. We were going to get a Queen room. We could not believe this to happen. He kept saying very rudely many times, Do you want it or not?? We took it because we were tired. Talk to many Marriott employees after that got in touch with us. The Manager Misty called me and said she would credit the 20,000 points back to our account, but she never did. I called her and left a voicemail and she never returned my call. Really Professional! The Marriott employees that called me said she was going to credit us our points for the bad experience, but she never did. I would not stay here again. On top of this bad experience, I had my membership number hacked after staying here. Someone was staying at Courtyard's that was using my name, number, and email after staying at this Hotel. I was going to call Marriott Headquarters to see if there has been a Security Breach at this Hotel. We know the person's name and where he tried to stay and use my membership number. We have notified the Police. Marriott Headquarters needs to check into all of this matter. I know they do not run their Hotels or Franchises this way. Also, FYI. This Hotel does not have a free breakfast and you have to pay for coffee. Nothing like the Marriotts we have stayed in, in the past. read more
