They wouldnt answer or return our calls beforehand…read more The movers dragged our bed frames across our hardwood (right in front of me!) and put permanent scratches in our floors on the second and first floor. Swift movers broke our daughter's desk, our dishes, and put gauges in our walls. They also ripped the trim out of our upstairs and didn't mention it to us. They ignored us when we told them about it and could care less that this may drive our buyers away from the house we moved out of. They also left behind two full pick up truck loads of stuff which didn't include our stand up freezer which we couldn't go back and get b/c we couldn't fit it in our car. Austin said they were coming with two trucks, but they showed up with one. Besides getting high every other hour in our driveway, they charged us $400 more even after we bought them lunch and gave them an $80 tip. After Loading from our old house, they disappeared for a couple of hours. The house they were meeting us at took them an extra 1 1/2 to make it too. Talk about a total disaster.

I lucked out with Reliable Movers - not only were they responsive and willing to book me from out of state for a move-in to a place with multiple sets of stairs, when they arrived they were helpful, friendly, and even prevented some damage that would have been done because of the way my outgoing movers packed my truck. They took great care with all of my items, got everything to exactly where I asked it to be placed even though I was stuck outside with the truck providing information, and got it all done in record time. The crew that showed up on move-in day were about twenty minutes early, after checking in with me via phone and text. Everyone was helpful and courteous. They also called me the morning of my move to let me know the team would be late, though it was within a reasonable time frame. Once on site they assessed what they had to move and then kept one person at the truck to direct the loading while the rest of the team got to work. I lived on a third floor walk up with weird corners and had some heavy furniture to move, such as a pull out bed couch. They handled what I had thought were hard or heavy things with ease. Talking to the team I learned one of the guys had been a mover for 40 years! Talk about experienced! They were used to moving multi-room large houses with much heavier items.
