All the tees and baskets remained in the same place, but they dumped loads of sand all over the park. There are sea shells in it, so unlike I originally thought, which was it was removed creek bank, I guess they trucked it in. Just odd. Only weeds grow on the sand. The park is still fine for a quick stop over lunch, but I wouldn't want to play there with others unless I was pressed for time. I should be fair and say kids might have fun finding little shells in the sand, and the renovation had nothing to do with trying to enhance the disc golf experience. The same basket in the review below is still crooked. 2022-23: Nice short course. Well kept. 2 Baskets crooked. Every other trip is usually ended short without playing through due to off leash dogs walkers. Although the dogs are always good, the people are not so bright. The dogs will chase a disc that heads their way. After that happened twice, I just leave now.

I came upon it today while having a meeting in Landisville and was so impressed that I had to bring my boys after school. The itself park was donated to the Township by the late Amos Herr who was a former high school teacher and coach. His ancestors were among the earliest settlers of Landisville. The new "dream park" was almost completely financed and built by the residents of East Hempfield Township. It took them 11-days to construct the playground and it opened last year. This adorable play area includes a zip line! Rapho…read moreCommunity Park (RCP) was dedicated back in 2008 and this 30-acre park added shamrock pavilions in 2012. The name Rapho was derived from Raphoe parish in County Donegal, Ireland thanks to the first settlers in the area who were of Scots-Irish decent. When we arrived yesterday evening, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a gorgeous park hidden off Manheim Road. I've driven by Strickler Road many times, but went past without knowing RCP was there. It has to be one of the cleanest parks I've been to, and thanks to the numerous signs posted everywhere--no smoking! Here's what else RCP has to offer: *A really, cool playground--one for the little tots and one for the older kids *Two baseball/softball fields *Soccer Field *Paved Walking Trail - not sure how long it is but I will measure it soon and update this review *Two pavilions constructed with a hemlock post and beam frame, similar to the structure of a barn. All buildings have shamrocks on them. *Large parking lot *Trash cans, recycling containers and dog waste stations *Building that houses restrooms, water fountain, Little Free Library and concession stand *Benches throughout *Several small silo-shaped shade areas *Dog Park is almost finished! Like many of the parks I visit, I stumbled upon it while researching for another park. RP has almost 300-acres, which includes the park and East Donegal's section of the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail (NRT). *Portable toilets *Boat Launch--oh how I wish I still had my kayak! *Covered Picnic Tables *Two parking lots: #1 is near the pavilion, boat launch and one end of NRT and #2 is next to NRT heading out the other direction *Benches *Historical Markers *Extremely large, grassy field to play *Nice lawn with shady trees and one lone seesaw--no other playground equipment *NRT is about 14-miles long so plenty of space to bike, walk and run. *Dogs are welcome--just clean up after them and keep them on a leash *The view of the Susquehanna River is spectacular. RP is now my favorite park in PA--so far. It has everything I need, including solitude. It's a great place to bring a picnic, watch the sunset, take a bike ride, or catch some ball. A well-planned park--great job, East Donegal Township!
