The bathroom situation is only okay. There is a building with flush toilets nearby, but it is only open from 7:30am-9pm each day, and those times aren't set in stone. Other than that, there is one port-a-potty that could stand to be serviced more frequently than is currently scheduled. Each camping site has a water spigot, a picnic table, and a fire pit, but you need to buy firewood off-site; we found some at Lowe's. You are close to a lot of scenic drives through farm country, and we saw a lot of Amish traveling by horse and buggy on our drives. Also nearby is the city of Lancaster, which is beautiful, way bigger than anticipated, and surprisingly had several Puerto Rican restaurants. All in all this park is a great home base for a trip to Lancaster, and the camping facilities are great.

Located right across the street from my hotel, (Residence Inn) and the Wegmans shopping centre, is this sprawling, beautifully maintained park; replete with swings, slides, playground equipment, benches, paved walkways, amphitheater, PETTING ZOO, and WIDE open spaces. What a great space! The park is dog friendly, and I spent over an hour there, just walking my dogs through the park, while the Misses took the baby to run and jump and play on the multiple playgrounds here. The park is WIDE open, very clean and everyone looked to be having a blast. It's a little old ladies going on walks for exercise, while people jog and children play on the swings type park.

The name Rapho was derived from Raphoe parish in County Donegal, Ireland thanks to the first settlers in the area who were of Scots-Irish decent. When we arrived yesterday evening, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a gorgeous park hidden off Manheim Road. I've driven by Strickler Road many times, but went past without knowing RCP was there. It has to be one of the cleanest parks I've been to, and thanks to the numerous signs posted everywhere--no smoking! Here's what else RCP has to offer: *A really, cool playground--one for the little tots and one for the older kids *Two baseball/softball fields *Soccer Field *Paved Walking Trail - not sure how long it is but I will measure it soon and update this review *Two pavilions constructed with a hemlock post and beam frame, similar to the structure of a barn. All buildings have shamrocks on them. *Large parking lot *Trash cans, recycling containers and dog waste stations *Building that houses restrooms, water fountain, Little Free Library and concession stand *Benches throughout *Several small silo-shaped shade areas *Dog Park is almost finished! There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).
