I just had the water heater in my attic replaced and a main water shut-off valve installed. Rebekah and her crew were prompt, friendly, and knew what they were doing. The job was done professionally in just a few hours. Most important to me, an old engineer, is that they all patiently answered my endless questions on a myriad of subjects. We needed a new waterline put in to my barn. I couldn't get any of the plumbing companies in the area to so much as come out and do an estimate. Cove plumbing answered and came out. Gave us an estimate that we were very happy with. So, when they came out, and started digging, they found where the line was supposed to go, there was ... nothing. So, they had to go from another area which was a longer linear footage. The owner actually came out to check the work before his employees were done and stayed as they finished up, made sure they cleaned up, and they also did a little extra effort in making the spout area secure, and esthetically nice to look at from any direction. Owner was personable and explained why I should go with what he suggested rather than what I was wanting. Great company and I highly recommend! read more

I needed a "whole house" shutoff knife valve installed. Their technician showed up on-time with all the materials and tools and got right to work. Within about an hour, he cut the pipes and soldered in the valve and had the area cleaned up. The valve is in a very convenient location in my garage. I recommend that every home owner install one. The timing was adequate, there was no work to be done -- but a reputable company that charges for just showing up would have told the caller. This did not happen. Worse was that the company lied about this when asked. Had they explained the charge of just driving to the place would have been 99 dollars we would have certainly called a company that only charges for actual work done and waited the extra day. When the worker left, he said 'no charge' and walked out the door without signing giving a work order. We paid the bill but will consider it a divorce payment. read more

OVER $500.00 for 1 1/2 hr of work. I give one star because the work is complete and Tony did good work. Now, for the rest of the story.....I asked three times, how much this was going to cost. The most Tony ever gave me was " we're right around three hours right now, and we have to come back tomorrow for the city inspector" Never mentioned that I'm being charged $85.00 an hr! Total time charged was 4.5 hrs.. Now, let me tell you this, I clocked him in and out. Time charged included the time he had to go back to the shop to get the right wrench! Time charged also included the time he stood waiting for the inspector to show up! Then the time the he and the inspector stood around B.S. ing while watching the meter! Actual time of WORK, about an hour and a half. He charged $55.00 for parts....he put in 2 foot of black pipe (sells at Lowes for $1.00 a foot! He also put in some rusted fittings, I have the pictures. DONT CALL THESES PEOPLE UNLESS YOU HAVE A BIG BANK ACCOUNT! read more

I believe in paying for services rendered. Walking in my house and solving a clogged kitchen sink by simply plugging-up the garbage disposal side & flipping the switch to unclog it is NOT worth the $99+ fee this company charged me. In less than 5 minutes he was back in his truck writing up the 'contract,' which took him longer to do than "fix" my sink. IF I hadn't asked how much it was going to cost as he was walking to the truck I would've assumed there was to be no charge. I immediately called Peggy to ask for a waiver OR at least an adjusted charge. She said she'd call me back after calling him. She didn't, though she said she did. Eventually he walks back to me, hands me his ledger & says "Sign here." Gratefully, it was reduced to $55.41. As he handed me my copy he said "Later." There was a 2nd person with him the whole time who didn't do anything, not even speak. I watched them in the truck before driving away and noticed how they laughed & then looked back towards me as if they were sharing a joke about the service. Now, I certainly don't expect free service, and I've used Cove Plumbing before. The final charge of $55.41 is fine considering he "got the job done." My problem is what it took for me to have to ask for an adjustment. I support LOCAL businesses & they are, after all, COVE Plumbing. They're less than 2 miles from my house, and they WILL charge you $99 just to walk into your house. Don't expect to have a service-minded approach from this company or their workers. In the midst of this pandemic don't even expect them to wear a mask (or even have one available if asked!). I asked, but he & the other guy seemed to have trouble finding one until I finally told him to forget it. My wife, who is vulnerable & cautious, decided to stay in the back room behind a closed door. Very good customer service! When my water pipe was leaking they sent someone the same day to turn off the water. I had to wait for repairs because of untimely August rain, but the office checked back with me and sent Jonathan Wilson as soon as the rain stopped. He and Jason made the repair quickly and kept me informed of what the problem was and what they had to do to repair. This is not the first time I have used Cove Plumbing and I am always satisfied with their work and customer service. 10 April 2019 I had another great experience with Cove Plumbing this week. Called yesterday and Zack and James were at my rescue first thing this morning. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and did a great job! I have used Cove Plumbing three different times since moving into our house in Cove. The company is easy to work with and very prompt. During our last experience, we noticed water leaking from our garage. They came out and checked our water heater and determined it was no longer serviceable (it was over 20 years old). They gave us a quote, drained and removed the old water heater, and put in a new one from their shop in about 2-3 hours. Not bad considering it was very unexpected and the in-laws were coming in that evening. We will definitely continue to use them! read more

They snaked out from the service drain out to the street a few times with a very high powered snake that got the job done. They ran the water from different drains in the house to ensure water was flowing as it should and it was. I was about to do some outside watering in the evening and when I grabbed my hose the housing broke right off and I had a gusher on my hands. I ran and turned off the water at the street and let the household know we would be without water until morning. I gave Cove Plumbing a call first thing in the morning and they said they could send someone right out. Tony arrived and did a quick assessment of the situation and went right to work. Tony and his helper came and fixed a pipe leak and were soo careful not to break the original 1936 stone @ the pipe. They were fast, friendly, efficient and even notified me I had a leak on the city's property line. They were even helpful to the city in fixing the repair! Don't hire this company, EVER!! Charged me over $400(4.5 hours) for work that could have been done in about a hour. They charge by the hour, so took a long time and stalled for time. They charged me for parts that was not needed. They tried to make me think that I needed parts and that they could not find the old sink parts. There was two of them. One guy did absolute nothing but stand around and watch the other one work. I think because I was a female, they figured I was absolute clueless about plumbing. The main thing that I wanted them to do was install my dishwasher after my other contractor had removed it to install cabinets. As soon as he saw the dishwasher space, he said " oh I can't install it because your contractor has to put a board underneath the granite. So guess what? That means he would have to come back to install it. Another $89 a hour AND who knows what else he would find wrong so that he would have to come back. read more
