I was enticed by Lochridge Priest with their $0 Diagnostic fee. I had a water leak in next to my stove where the drain got clogged. The garbage disposal and dish water are connected to the same system. After the Tech left my house I discovered the garbage disposal and Dishwasher no longer worked. I tried tripping the breaker but they had shorted out the circuit. When I called Lochridge Priest to fix the damage they had caused they sent out a new Tech. He claims they did nothing wrong, and left me with a bill of $437 plus another $179 fee for coming out. So now a project that should have been less than $300 to fix has ballooned over $1,000. We requested after service and a technician was dispatched within 2 hours. The technician was knowledgeable, efficient and provided reasonable customer service given the nature of the issue. The downside is the pricing and their solicitation for their membership program that honestly does not provide a lot for the price and if you will even need their services within a year. Was the issue fixed yes. Would I call them again? Only if in a pinch & do not mind paying $300 for something small like a wire repair that takes 15 mins. read more

Our 6 yr. old Lennox XC20, variable speed air conditioner failed to supply cold air one morning. We called Lochridge Priest with whom we have a maintenance contract. Within hours a technician arrived and diagnosed the problem as a condenser coil leak. This is the second unit diagnosed on a similar Lennox unit purchased at the same time in our neighborhood. (Now we discover that Lennox has a problem with leaking coils in as little as 4 years of purchase.) Though the replacement parts are under warranty, we had to pay for labor. A replacement coil was ordered and arrived within 2 days. Unfortunately, it arrived on a Friday afternoon. It could not be replaced until Monday with technicians arriving by noon to exchange the unit. I was seeking an electrician to help install a dimmer switch in my kitchen. I found this company online based on Google reviews for great customer service and fair prices. I gave it two stars because the electrician that arrived to give us a quote was professional, but the price to install the switch was $316! This included me providing my own switch I purchased. I had a plumber come out to fix my stopped up kitchen sink. I had a smaller issue with a gurgling toilet. He was there for over 6 hours and initially ran the cable in the drain on the complete opposite side of the house that had nothing to do with the kitchen or that toilet (I have two lines exiting my house). When he was finally ready to run the cable at the sink, I asked how much longer he would be and he said only about 10 minutes. He did not leave my house until an hour and a half after that question, and the sink was still clogged. I was supposed to have a receipt emailed. I received no statement or receipt at all, only an estimate of further things they supposedly could do, which I ignored. Today I talked for approximately 30 minutes to the general manager asking for some sort of refund. I told him I would agree to pay the $99 service fee and even pay for for one line being run in spite of the fact that the kitchen sink was still stopped up, but I did not feel I needed to pay for running the line on the complete opposite end of the house where those three bathrooms had no issue. The manager was not willing to refund any of the $462 I had paid. I used no bad language and did not curse in my conversation, but I was furious that my offer to pay a partial cost was not accepted and said that I would be telling my friends and posting reviews not to use Lochridge Priest. At that point the manager said he did not take well to threats to slander him. I told him it was not slander to tell the truth about my experience! I called a different plumber to come and unstop the sink. He spent half an hour, unstopped the sink, and charged half of what Lochridge Priest did! I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I called this company for an AC tune up as it smelled like mildew in my house. I told them I had been shopping around and they offered me their annual plan that would give me two checkups/tuneups a year as well as it would cover a checkup for my water heaters, discounted parts and services and other random things. It was 179.40 annually and 119 for a one time service so I went for the annual. They came out and did nothing but tell me that it's normal for the ac to stink and there's nothing wrong with my system and left. (Nothing wrong is a good thing). Fast forward 40 days later I get another charge of the 179.40. I call and they say oh it's because you have two a/c units. They knew I had two when they initially came out and before they even arrived as I disclosed this. There was no mention of having to pay for two annual memberships. (That's stupid, why would I?). They haven't returned my money and these people are a total scam. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else, someone who will actually perform the service at the very least. They said they would provide the initial documentation showing I agreed to two different service plans and I haven't received anything. read more

Hooking up my portable generator to my breaker panel. Sounds simple right? They charged me $100 to show up at their convenience, then told me that they could not use the expensive 50amp transfer (R510A) switch that I had purchased. (Time on site: 15 minutes) So, I asked them to tell me what exactly I needed to get the job done. The Electrician on site had no answers for me and I was referred to the Master Electrician who would not return my emails or calls. Next time I call Lochridge-Priest and Mike Berry, the technician sent was friendly and clearly enjoyed his job. He has now made a total of three trips to my house. I am surprised at some of the other reviews. Perhaps the firm's locations differ greatly? We purchased a home in 2016 that had an entirely new HVAC system installed by L-P in 2011. I had an issue with the heating unit during freezing temps. I called and Pancho Chavez, technician, arrived that evening. While it was unfortunate that a part had failed, he called and assured me it was covered under warranty AND it would be in the next day. He then returned in the late afternoon of the following day to replace it and check that the heat was now working. I could not have been more grateful. Last week was the second time Pancho Chavez has been out to service our HVAC. It was the heater service for the annual maintenance schedule we set up early this year. He is absolutely a delight to have in one's home. He is prompt, courteous, polite, and explains everything he does. I will continue to ask for Pancho for future service needs. read more

Found out a long time ago that preventive maintenance was much better than situation maintenance. L-P technician Ken Arnold certainly earned this report by the early identification of a contacts pitting issue outside on my air conditioning unit during a semi-annual PM visit. For $69 dollars, I have the satisfaction of knowing I'll have cold air all summer. I've used L-P for 22 years and always been satisfied. Ken is the best technician we've seen in that experience. Total waste of money. The "repair" guy that came to look at our hot water heater didn't even try to fix but instead tried to sell us a new one for $1550 and would even say what make or model it would be. When I pushed the issue he called back with a model number. I looked it up and it's a $500 water heater. So $1000 to install?!? I must look really stupid. Then he charged $150 for the service call. This was a terrible experience and we were significantly over charged. My wife was alone during the day while I was at work. A guy came out to look at what was clearly an electrical issue in a unit less than two years old. He found the burnt out fuse on the switchboard quickly. We ended up getting charged for 2 1/2 hours of labor at $88/hr while he sat in the car for a long time and then drove to get the part. When we called to ask about the charges for a simple straight forward fix, the company managers stood behind the charges and said they ran a full diagnostic on the unit. So I asked if something else goes wrong on the unit in the next 90 days if they would warranty that problem? He said no and they would only warranty what they fixed. Nothing about this made sense to me. I gave this company multiple chances to make the situation right but they refused. Please use another company. Two stars only because they fixed the problem but I have to question the ethical standards. read more
