I want to begin with some updated information. Please pay attention to the date of this review, as changes do occur. There are now only two Covenant Church physical campuses. Sunday services at the South Campus (Carrollton) are at 9 AM and 11:30 AM. The teaching pastor of the day travels to the North Campus (McKinney) in between the two South Campus services to deliver the same message there live, then returns to Carrollton for the 11:30 service. Pastors Amie and Stacey are the Lead Pastoral Team, with Pastor Amie and her team of teaching pastors doing a wonderful job of speaking the Word of God into the hearts, spirits, and minds of their flock in person and online. (The South Campus Sunday services are live on YouTube and at covlive.online.church. One will be posted permanently on Covenant's YouTube channel, on Monday at the latest. Covenant is truly a multigenerational multicultural non-denominational community. (Covenant Church practices child dedication and water baptism by immersion but is not a Baptist church in any sense.) The worship team and the teaching pastors work in tandem so that the music choices not only lead everyone into deep and meaningful worship but prepare them to hear the intentional life-changing message. This leads to multiple salvations at every service. Covenant's Core Values are: * Know God * Find Freedom * Discover Purpose * Make a Difference That plan means that whatever your age or spiritual maturity when you come to this church, Covenant is ready, through small topical groups, weekend events, short-term classes and other formats for lifetime learning to help you make sure that you have a deep and personal relationship with Jesus no matter what is happening around you. The foundational practices to growing in "knowing God" are reading and understanding the Bible as God's Word, and prayer as two-way communication with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. I've been a member since 2006. It was a wonderful church in those days but now, the music is so loud that the walls and seats shake. It's above 100 decibels which means it could harm your hearing esp if it's a child. Also, they used to be listed as a non-denominational church which means they were spirit-filled but now they're listed as Baptist. They never talk about how important it is to get spirit-filled anymore and they don't allow people to show the signs of being spirit-filled like dancing or speaking in the spirit. In spite of all that, it's still a decent church and a good place to meet nice people. read more

Covenant is the type of church that has campuses. They are social also, the church has a mobile app. Of course they have 3 huge screens up front, this is a really big church. I brought my Bible but it wasn't necessary here. The Bible was barely referenced but Dr John Maxwell ( guest speaker) did mention the titles of 2 of his own books. I felt more like I was attending a business seminar than attending a church service. I doubt that I will visit here again. The parking lot is so huge that there are 4 way stop signs at "intersections". That was definitely helpful. If you are into the mega church type of worship then I think you will like it here. read more

This is not a Godly Church in my eyes and they profile you and if you wear a backpack, they will stop you and try to get you to check it in although I witness 4 other people carrying in backpacks,, I'm a 61 year old man fighting terminal cancer and I wanted to go to service to pray to God for favor and I could not do that because they insisted on checking my bag in and I even offered for them to look at it but to no Avail,, This is not a Godly place! A church that obeys the command of Christ to go into ALL the world and be salt and light in every segment of the society, including politics, is a valid New Testament church. Covenant is such church. Covenant church is an awesome church because of the people under its roof. The people and community are what make the church what it is today. I have personally seen the roughest of times that this church has gone through and have seen how the people and community of the church have held it together. Disclaimer: I am not currently a member of this church. I have attended a couple of their services. This review is only for the annual women's conference- Flourish (2014). This conference is for Christian women from all walks of life who want to flourish in their varied roles. It's three days and two nights of worship and diverse women speakers who are leaders in their church or Christian community. To name a few : Priscilla Shirer, Pastor Sara Conner, Dr. Faith Fredrick , Mary Alessi, the host Pastors Kathy & Amy, etc. I personally was blown away by some of the speakers. This was not a "holier than thou" conference. These were real women with everyday problems who left their "high horses" at the door. This is a paid conference-not free. My student ticket was $40, and it was worth it. There were two things that I felt could have been improved: This conference probably had 1,000+ attendees, but there were no activities to connect them during the three days. I believe there should have been an official meet and greet before or after sessions...or something. I am a believer in networking on all fronts...After all, it is a conference. The woman presence was strong, but I wanted to see it 100%. Not to exclude men for the sake of excluding men, but to highlight the various roles of women. Particularly with music-having women on the guitar, drums and singing tenor as lead on the worship team is another way to highlight women flourishing. I think it would have been good for the young girls to see. Overall, it was a great conference! read more

I have been going to the Covenant Church for almost a year and felt like I had found a place that I could call my second home. Pastor Amie has absolutely been wonderful. I could feel this until last week when I was down to my last five dollars for the month and still needed to pay my rent. I WILL be homeless by the end of next week. I practiced LORDSHIP and he told me to contact the Covenant Church to help with my rent and food. I did reach out LAST WEEK when Pastor Amie said in her sermon that she was moved to give some guy on a street corner $50. Surely the Covenant Church would be moved to help me, someone who was baptized in your church. I PRACTICED LORDSHIP and asked the Lord what to do. The Lord spoke to me and told me to contact the Covenant Church! Surely, they would help? Right? WRONG!!! I am still relying on my BICYCLE FOR TRANSPORTATION and scrounging dumpsters for food. So, how did the Covenant Church help me? THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did not even give my tithe over the last year back so I could put food on my table! I HEREBY RENOUNCE THE COVENANT CHURCH FOR NOT PRACTICING WHAT THEY PREACH! This is nothing more than @#$% %$%*! Fortunately, SUNDAY is FOOTBALL DAY across the country. God will provide! The DUMPSTERS WILL BE OVERFLOWING WITH FOOD! I am being evicted from my apartment to I am going to donate EVERYTHING to METROCREST SERVICES and MOVE TO HAWAII permanently. I am also withdrawing my run for the PRESIDENCY and call upon my GOD to PUNISH THE USA, including the COVENANT CHURCH with EVERYTHING THAT HE HAS. But I did ask him to let me get safely to Hawaii before he pulls out his full fire and brimstone against a sinful nation that is murdering unborn children. I have been to Hawaii before and am going to work feeding the hungry there. I am a SURVIVOR!!! One good thing, I have been trying to lose weight and lost 10 pounds in the last week! I've grown to love this church. It's so diverse, so positive, so uplifting. I attended their 2015 Flourish Women's Conference and it was amazing. The church community is so involved, so personal, everyone that attends, well that I've met, they are so welcoming. The church services aren't too long. Pastor Mike Hayes and his pastors, they get their point across, I understand them, I understand the message and I get a GREAT Word to start my week off right. Due to the demands of my Job (on call 24x7), I hadn't been able to attend church for quite some time. My wife and I started going here about 3 months ago, after having been to two presentations of "The Thorn" that Covenant hosted in prior years. It is Christian Based, teaching the principles of the Bible based on Grace. It is a very diverse congregation, with THREE PACKED services each Sunday, and is pretty much come as you are attire. We have seen everything from Shorts and T-Shirts to 3-Piece Suits... so don't let your wardrobe discourage you from attending. Since we started going here, we've only missed one service, and that was only because I was in the hospital, BUT they make all their sermons available online, and I was able to watch it after the fact. Overall, the people are friendly and will offer a smile. I still haven't found a church I want to join since i've been in Texas, however I started coming here after my coworkers recommended it. Home away from home!!! 1. Sermon A+++ I give this five stars because they sure deliver the message with some fire and conviction on what we relate to on a day to day basis. 2. Praise/ Music A+++ Five stars in music because its not your day to day praise music you listen to, however, its the music you praise to God and it gets you all fired up whenever you walk into the sanctuary. 3.People A+ I give this 4 stars because knowing its a decent size church, there aren't opportunities where you can converse with a great deal of people yet everyones really friendly and I prefer this church over Prestonwood Baptist or Gateway. 4. Presentation a++ I like the style and structure of how they service the church people. Its highly organized yet not in a way that can scare off the normal day to day church goers that go to much Smaller churches in the neighborhood. Overall conclusion: I would strongly and highly recommend anyone to try this church if your looking for a home church, On thursday they have singles Life ministry which includes 18 years through 30 years old and pretty big gap but you won't be paying attention to the people around you typically, since the praise is on fire and the Mr. Bingly is awesome!! read more

My wife and I recently moved to Flower Mound and didn't have a place to worship. We found out that my father n law and his wife has been members for years and finally decided to visit. Amazing!! The music ministry viewed us away. It genuine and passionate. The kids area is unlike anything we have experienced before, very secure and safe plus they actually teach the kids. We love pastor Mike Hayes because of how he breaks the word down and because of his passion. My wife and I have been going for about two months and are now getting involved in the different small groups etc.. I am always touched by the messages of Pastor Mike. But since he left the messages seem more in line with Joel Osteen happy-clappy sermons.

They do have very talented musicians and some of their staff is most caring. However, I had three phone calls not returned, four emails not responded to, and one good ole paper and pen letter not responded to.
