Another excellent store on the Country Roads Quilt Shop Hop! Beautiful fabrics but the owner is…read morereally an artist with quilts. She conceives and makes her own patterns. Her quilting is beautiful. No pics of the projects were allowed as reasonably they are for sell. This is to prevent some unscrupulous people who would snap a pic and try to copy her patterns. Kits are for sale as well as yardage and any other supplies. My friend and I purchased kits for a beautiful panel quilt as well as a baby quilt. We spent some bucks but the quality was well worth it. The owner was especially friendly and accommodating. It was very busy but she helped my friend find exactly the items and fabrics she needed and took time to talk to us. During a quilt hop, the shops get extremely busy and crowded. One sometimes feels rushed, but not here. The staff people and owner were great.

I took it to another, closer, authorized service dealer who determined that it needed an upgrade to the software and they did that upgrade. They did not put it on a frame or quilt with it to test it. When I got it home, it was OK, but I had a lot of trouble with tension. I finally got that working pretty good until 2 years later when a very mysterious thing started happening - it was acting like there was thread stuck in it. So - back it went. Long story short - 3 boards and 6 weeks later I got it back. It now had a very loud whining noise, absolutely terrible tension, and nearly vibrated out of my hands when I tried to use it. I was NOT going back there again. I searched the HQ website and found that Quilt Peddler had won awards for their service so decided to try there. Lugene (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) is a miracle worker! Every issue is gone and my Avante now works even better than when I first bought it. She also took the time to educate me on how components of the system worked and other things I should have been doing all along regarding power supply and maintenance. learned so much in the one day she spent with me! Even though it is a 5 hour drive (one way) for me - I will be going there for any additional service needs from now on. DO NOT bother with anywhere else! This is a the place to buy and service your Handi Quilter. A Happy quilter from East Aurora, NY

Both new roofs ended up leaking inside my home, (which is what I was trying to prevent/correct in the first place). I called multiple times to have someone come to view the damage done but never received a visit. One ceiling over the family room is spotted from leaks and I had to have the living room ceiling completely re-plastered due to a hole put into my main roof while working on the roof over the front porch. That porch roof was built using old buckled shingles and a gutter where all attachments are exposed. I haven't even mentioned what it cost me to have the roofing repaired, where possible, or the impact on other portions of the house such as torn screens and dented gutters. I would never recommend these contractors for roofing and most likely would never consider them for any other project.

I mean all the items that are in here can be bought elsewhere and for cheap. I'm just completely baffled by that. I guess a lot of people are crafty. This one is a big store, filled to the brim with all the art/craft/hobby supplies you could ever need. That being said, it kind of bored me while in here. I was kind of dragged into here. I did however use their facilities while here and must say they do a fine job maintaining them.

I could spend HOURS in this place, just as some men prefer the rack of tools in Sears or Lowe's. At Walmart, you can get an average to small amount of craft/creative supplies and they are good quality. However, if you need ANY type of more in-depth supplies or ideas then the place for you is Michael's. The associates are always more than willing to help you out in any way possible. This is a good thing because they are really great at helping me to figure out just what it is that I want and/or need for my current creative streak. The associates are knowledgeable, the store is clean. The ONLY thing that I have noticed is that on a few occasions, an aisle or two was blocked by either one of those giant metal stairs things or stock before it has been put out. This is tricky for someone like me who is disabled. I would also note that they could definitely use one of those electric carts/scooters. Thanks, Michael's for a job well done!!

Beware, this company has gone down hill. I hired Bradley Kemp to build a trex deck for me. The…read morefirst issue was that it took a week longer to do because they were short on help. Upon completion, I had issues with uneven boards and some coming up and a gate that wasn't installed right and wouldn't shut. They did come back to address those issues. My main issue is the fact that i have a section on each side that has privacy fence in place of railing. I didnt realize until the first time the wind blew it apart and I contacted Bradly, that the fence is not trex but another brand. I bought new brackets and hardware to rebuild it and have since rebuilt it 3 times luckily having bought extra materials. I now have 2 fences blown apart. I talked to Bradley, the owner and he said he doesn't use that company anymore and that he would come by in the next day or 2 to look and see what other options I have since that brand is obviously not good quality. He has never come by and the only thing i have gotten from him is a text asking if it is an insurance claim. I said no, given i have a $1000 deductible and wouldn't think it would exceed that. I have since heard nothing after having called and text him about 7-8 times in the past 3 weeks. What really disgusts me is that he knows I have 2 small children and it being a safety concern with it being a 2nd deck. Guess there wasn't enough profit in it for him to help a customer in my situation and was hoping to juice an insurance company for alot more than its worth
