The reason I give this place a one star is because, to put it in a Yelp friendly way, the owner of this establishment was quiet rude to me. As of writing this I had been playing at this field for 5 or 6 weekends with a two piece face mask (a bottom piece that was metal mesh and standard issue military goggles, the ones you see most vehicle crews have on their helmets). Not one time did any of this staff or front counter crew have any issue with my mask and the times when I did hit in the face the 2 piece mask did it's job and protected me. So when this whole incident happened it was in the middle of the day between games while I was refilling my air tank before the next match that was starting soon. As I was filling up my tank the owner asked if I was playing paintball or airsoft. I tell him I'm playing paintball and after that he immediately starts to be condescending to me, he tells me I can't use my 2 piece mask because their is a gap between the mask and the goggles on the bridge of my nose that apparently if a ball hit me there would break my nose (the gap is maybe a half inch between the two pieces) and I respond with that his whole staff has allowed me to use it for several weekends. He replies with that they shouldn't be letting me to keep it this short he "mansplains" (the only word I could think of) and talks to me like I was 10, the difference between paintball and airsoft and that I was using a airsoft mask which I already knew but either way he gives me a rental mask to use. Okay that's fine I'm someone who prefers safety so I'll use the mask even though he was rude to me. Well I get back to my table and I'm trying to adjust the mask he gave me and as that's happening the game of 30 or so people I was getting set to play gets their teams selected and were just waiting on me. I didn't want to hold them up and so after 5 minuets of trying to get the mask to not just bounce off my face so I decide that I'll just call it a day and go home. The other players walk to the field and while im packing up my gear the owner sees this and starts making his way towards me again. This time he asked why I wasn't playing anymore. So I tell him it's because I couldn't get the mask to adjust to my face the way I wanted before the next game started. Again to shorten this now short story of a review he insulted my intelligence telling me it should fit and work just fine because it's "universal fit." I tell him okay that's cool I've decided that I'm not going to play anymore because I had planned to leave the next game anyways, and that's when he tried to accuse me of being mad that he wasn't allowing me to use my stuff, and when I explained that it seemed silly to have a liability waiver and then not allow me to use the mask he called the wavier a "speedbump" which idk what that means other than something made to slow cars down in parking lots. This entire time I wasn't passive aggressive or just outwardly rude, I tried to talk to him in a neutral tone yet he continued to treat me like I was 10. And as I was walking away he tells me it's just about safety. That whole conversation I'm sure was probably 1/5 about safety and the rest about keeping his little money pile safe solely by how he treated me. When you really have safety as your forefront message or you want someone to be safe/correct unsafe behavior I find most people don't want to be verbally sh**ed on in front of a crowd of people, I had no issue using the rental mask other than it wasn't fitting my face at that moment yet he made it about 9 million other things while also being rude so him and his establishment will not be seeing this customer in the near and hopefully far future.

This review is specifically for Fox Airsoft Field. As a…read moremother, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of safety, leadership, and accountability at Fox Airsoft. Competitive play is one thing... Allowing unsafe behavior to continue after it has been reported is something very different. When my sons were playing, unsafe conduct was brought to the attention of staff, including behavior that should have been stopped immediately. Instead of stepping in, taking control, and addressing the issue, the situation was allowed to continue and escalate. Multiple people were getting hurt, concerns were raised, and there was no meaningful sense of urgency from the referees or staff to restore order and make sure rules were being enforced. What concerns me most is not only the behavior of one player, but the lack of accountability from the adults responsible for managing the field. When a business creates an environment where safety complaints are minimized, poor behavior is not corrected, and the people raising concerns are treated like the problem, that reflects a serious leadership failure. As a parent, I would be very uncomfortable dropping my child off in an environment like this and trusting that safety would be the top priority. As a customer, I would expect a business owner to take these issues seriously and ensure staff are capable of making sound decisions in the moment. Based on our experience, that did not happen.

I walked in with my 5 year old who is signed up for his first recreation center inline hockey experience and of course the rec center said we needed to have him decked out in all hockey padding gear but didn't give me a list of what was needed. The two staff members working there, Tama and Blake, only needed to hear my plea of help and they jumped in and cheerfully helped us. My 5 year old was so excited to be getting fitted for everything and I was so grateful that I had people helping him not only in a friendly/excited manner but in a very knowledgeable manner as well. If left to my own devices, I know I would have gotten the wrong things and what I did get would have not fit correctly. We walked out of the store in a pretty fast manner with all of our gear from Helmet to hockey stick and everything in between (except the skates we already had) and though I wasn't happy about the price tag (not because of the store's prices but because it is a 5 year old :)) I was very happy about the money and time saved!! I was also very impressed at how both Tama and Blake took extra care in finding items that worked/fit. As you probably know a 5 year old was not the easiest to fit and I was impressed by their thoughtfulness of how to make the helmet that fit in all aspects but one - end up fitting. My husband (the sports lead in our family but person who also had to work so I had to take the kiddo) was also very impressed by the gear, how it fit and the cost savings! Many thanks to Tama and Blake for their friendly smiles and helpfulness and many thanks to the new ownership as well. When I emailed Hillary Mantelli, the new owner, to tell her how great her staff was, she rapidly responded with a thanks of her own back to me and also let me know that she shared my email with Blake and Tama personally and also posted it up in their cash wrap area for all of the staff to see! My family and I will certainly be lifelong (with many more trips I am sure for us with 8 year old and 5 year old boys) customers because of this experience!!!

The field is awesome, but is in the process of being upgraded to my understanding. The staff is VERY friendly, will help newcomers with their gear, very thorough with the rules. The refs are very attentive, that being said they are VERY strict with the safety rules. You get a safety briefing at the start of the day and are told certain rules being broken will result in immediate sitting out a game. They do this to ensure everyones safety. This field is like a family and the staff/players will always be helpful and friendly! That being said, when on the field be prepared to be shot by a paintball - and yes it can hurt. THEY do offer a 50 cal version for younger folks if you are concerned with being shot by a 68 cal (larger paintball) On the field it is all fun, but can be hard to discern who is who on the field. Again its all in fun just be safe out there and have a good time. If it's your first time go up to any of the people you see there and anyone would be more than happy to have your back on or off the field!! Hope to see you out there! :D

So we loaded up our dirt bike and quad and headed to Jewell Motocross Track to celebrate his birthday by doing some riding. PROs: ++ There's several different tracks (3 or 4) offered: beginner, intermediate, and pro. ++ All tracks run on a counter clockwise configuration - so there's no confusion about which way you should be riding. ++ They do offer happy hour pricing - though now I cannot recall the days, times, or pricing. Whoops! CONs: -- At $20 a rider - admission was a bit more expensive than I expected. Though it was my first time at a motocross track so perhaps I just don't know. What the rates are. -- The staff member at the entrance fused over our quad saying that they, "weren't allowed." After explaining it was for me to putt around on he said there was one area we were allowed to ride it far from the other tracks - gee, thanks. After all is said, Jewel Motocross Track was an "OK" experience in my book. I doubt I'll be making my way back any time soon - but wouldn't mind if I did.
