I ordered the woody harrelson with a beef patty instead of the veggie patty and it tasted so good! The honey mustard on it made the burger especially good. The crinkle cut fries were also very delicious! If you check in on Yelp, you get $1 off. At the time I went they had a special of adding fries as a side for $1 which is worth it!

I was looking for something other then a taco truck (nothing against taco trucks) for my 60th birthday celebration event. After reading reviews, I decided to take a chance and try Cow Bells. Daniel did not disappoint. From start to finish, Daniel was responsive in every way. Responding quickly to any request. Everybody raved about the burgers and I had to agree. Everything was excellent including the hot dogs. Little did I know till later that on his way to our house, he had a flat on his trailer but being determined to be here on time, he continued on even so. That is above and beyond excellent customer service. If you are looking for great service, great food, and a friendly attitude - go with Cow Bells.

Cow Bells serves and incredible burger! I am such a huge fan! I am going back and forth on giving these guys five stars so read this review like its 4.5! My favorite burger is the Casino El Camino Amarillo burger but these guys are close second! I've only had the Rise and Shine burger and it was incredible! The egg and hamburger patty were cooked perfectly even the bun is perfect. The guy who runs the place is a real gent and I've never met a nicer guy. They have a loyalty program that I'm all about getting into where after you buy so many burgers you get a free one, certainly cant beat that. I cant wait to go back and try every burger on the menu! In a town like Austin its hard to be so good that you make me want to come back and eat the whole menu and Cow Bells does it! If you drive by this place don't pass it up! Go in and give it a shot its totally worth it!

This adorable little food trailer is part of a little food trailer park off to the side of the South Shore AMLI. All of the burgers looked delicious and I really wanted mine to taste as good as it looked. I had the Rise n Shine and because I came right before the evening dinner rush, my burger was out in a matter of minutes. I'm not really sure what was off about my burger because the egg was fine and I liked the spicy mayo it had on it, but I think it may have been the beef patty itself just had an odd flavor (I don't think it was bad, it was just a little weird) and the bacon was a little too fatty and not as crispy as I would have liked. So, while not a bad burger experience, it was not a memorably great one. The tater tots and the BBQ ranch are a totally different story! The tater tots were perfectly crisp on the outside and just tender enough on the inside and could stand on their own w/o a dipping sauce; however, the BBQ ranch was a game changer (I put some on my burger as well)! The tots and BBQ ranch were made for each other and should I ever return, I think I will just do a double order of these and call it a day! Daniel, the owner, was very gracious and quick to get my order out and as the crowd picked up, he seemed to be keeping up w/the orders fairly well. Definitely suggest trying this place, especially if in the area or coming off the Boardwalk. Though, note on the little seating area for the entire food trailer park: for some reason there were strong gusts of wind that I think may have been generated by the constant traffic, but half my meal I spent trying to wrangle napkins and basket dressing from flying away! Don't know what that's about or if I was just sitting in the "wind tunnel vortex" seat, but it was a bit offputting after awhile.

Ordered the Spare Tire but with a single patty because if I'm going to get a spare tire from eating it like the name suggests, I want it to be a smaller one. Anything that has Bacon and Fried Pickles... Sign me up! Also ordered their sweet potato fries, one of my many food addictions! Burger was great as were the fries. The sweet potato fries were perfect consistency not too soft, not too crispy. No wait and took about 10 minutes to get our food.

Burger crew meeting called to order on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2:30pm (Burger Crew Does Austin 2017). Members in attendance: Angela d., Sumana S., Trevor Y., and Wayne T. Members who are lame: Dennis K. I. Ordering We all ordered the Spare Tire ($10.50) - Double meat burger, dressed with mayo, cheddar cheese, bacon, and fried pickles. Trev and I also got tater tots ($3.25) and 2 Mexican Cokes ($2.25 each). Wayne and Sumana got the housemade cherry lemonade ($2.50 each). II. The burgers The burgers were nicely presented on a tray. Since Trev and I were splitting they cut it in half for us. The bun was nice and gooey and the cheese was wonderfully melty. The patty was cooked well done and very peppery. The bacon was good, and I loved the bites that had the fried pickles in it. However, the flavor was pretty monotone. It needed more acid or a sweet note to balance out the saltiness of the meat and cheese and bacon. I think BBQ sauce or mustard would have been a good addition (not together). III. The Fries/Sides The tots were lightly fried and very good. It comes with BBQ ranch, which was really yummy! IV. Miscellaneous This place is a little food stand in the South Shore Eatery on Riverside Drive. So it is outdoor seating only, but it's nice that they have shade. There's a really good looking churro cart next to it that I was eyeing. The parking lot is pretty small. The owner was the person serving us and he was super nice. Check in on yelp to get $1 off a burger. V. Value We have a new way to measure value. I ask the members how much they would pay for the burger they ate. We would pay anywhere between $10 to $12 for these burgers, which makes these burgers a great value since they were only $10.50. VI. The verdict Burgers were cheesy deliciousness. The ratings: 3.6, 3.6, 4.0, and 4.5 Next burger crew meeting: right after this at P. Terry's!

Cow Bells catered my 60th birthday party for about 85 people. The food was amazing! I received nothing but compliments on the food! The menu included, Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and Hotdogs, and the sides were sweet potato fries or tater tots. Everything was fresh and delicious. Daniel was very professional and easy going and very accommodating. The sweet potato fries were a hit! Will use Cowbells again and highly recommend them.

Awesome burger place by South Shore that is especially a perfect snack after kayaking! This food truck's menu got many interesting burgers like blue cheese burgers, but for me, the one that allured me the most was the Rise 'n Shine, which was breakfast-item-inspired burger. The burger tastes as good as it sounds, and I was happy with it! The bacon and the egg combination wasn't a groundbreaking concept, but Cow Bells did a good job delivering an extraordinarily burger with quality ingredients. My only gripe is the price as each burger is around $8-10 each, but hey it's a food truck. I definitely recommend trying Cow Bells if you are in the area!

New burger trailer is here in Austin. This place makes a tasty burger and it has a very affordable price for it. The key to this burger is the flavor of the ground beef they serve. It is certainly a thick medium well cooked burger (preferred). It is certainly a greasy burger but the beef certainly sets it apart. You just taste that great seasoning in every bite of the beef, it is a great mixture. It is really some of the best burger seasoning I have had. I added bacon, grilled onions and avocado to mine. Also had several cheese choices, I went with pepper jack. Bacon was thick and crisp. Grilled onions were thin and delicious. It just has a fantastic flavor with their beef. Multiple kinds of cheeses. Also had sweet potato fries. They tasted alright, and got a good portion for $2. I really dig the $3 Japanese style onion rings. Sliders have special buns, and the full size bun is toasted. He also serves a Turkey burger & black bean burger. Cow Bells is parked next to Amli South Shore just before the Lakeshore turn. You can park in the open lot or if full, park on the first floor of the garage. It is a great tasting burger and I will continue to come here.

They serve meat. I like meat. Delicious! Burgers were cooked to perfection, sweet potato fries dipped in their "sexy sauce", actually anything dipped in sexy sauce is basically a mouth-orgasm. Super friendly staff, extra hot owner, what else can you ask for really? Amazing, yet affordable menu. Honestly, if you like to eat good food i cant think of any reasons why you wouldnt try this place. Plus, did i mention the owner is hot? This is the best burger that I've had in Austin by far. It was incredibly fresh, nicely seasoned and high quality beef. The V sauce was spicy and the egg, ham and bacon complimented the savoriness. Great job! Forget the Hop Doddy lines come here! read more

Great burgers. Dude that works there is super chill. I always get the same one with jalapenos and blue cheese. Honestly one of the better burgers I've had. If you like hopdoddy give this a try should be in the same realm even if you like hopdoddy better. I personally prefer cow bells. read more

I love this food truck! It's right next to my sister's apartment, so we go there all the time. She's a vegan, but they even have a burger for her (the Woody Harrelson). The burgers are yum, the sweet potato fries are even yummier, the owner is really nice, and the price is affordable. Definitely worth the trip to East Riverside! read more

On our way thru town headed to New Braunfels and decided to get out of the traffic and find a great Austin spot to rest and have a burger. Good ol' yelp to the rescue! Seriously love the yelp community, you never steer us wrong. Never would have noticed the unassuming yellow trailer, even looking for it we almost missed it. So glad we didn't, these burgers are a clooooose second to Offsite Burgers in Dallas. Had the Blue Flame and it was the perfect mix of blue cheese and crisp lettuce and tomatoes and jalapenos. The buns were toasted perfectly. Also had sliders and tots for the kids, son had an MMA with mayo mustard and avocado... Yum. We don't make it to Austin too often, but wanted to add another great review for the kid running this outstanding place. I am burned out on food trucks honestly, but this one is a perfect example of what I assume is a well trained chef running a first rate truck. read more

I was looking for the best Burger. Somewhere close. So I turned to the Yelp app to see what I can find off of Riverside and Cow Bells pops up. And I'm like, "oh yeah, I seen that place!" One of those places you pass by and say, "I want to eat there" but you don't have time, or you have already eaten, or something. The reviews are good, decided to try it. I had the Blue Cheese burger with jalopenos and my girlfriend had the Burger with the egg in it, which I'm glad she ordered because I wanted to try it too. It looks awesome in the pics on here. My burger was fantastic! My girlfriends too. She loved it. I had a bite myself and yeah, it was great. Great. And my burger was seriously the best burger that I've had in...I can't remember the last time. Maybe ever, and I'm not exaggerating. The beef patty is what made it so awesome. Really good seasoning I suppose. We also had sweet potato fries, which I love. They were good. They come with this Ranch/Bar-B-Que sauce which goes with them perfectly! It was delicious. If your reading this, just go already. You're missing out. Really. Located next to The Amli Shore Apartments by the Radio Shack. There's like 3 other food trucks there as well. Cow Bells just opened yesterday, so I was pretty psyched to try out the new addition to the AMLI food trucks. After eating there, I'm even more excited about the addition to the neighborhood. We had the MMA burger and the sliders, the fried pickles and the sweet potato fries. The burger was awesome -- really juicy, good sized, and had what had to be a half an avocado on it -- all for $5, which I think is a great deal for food trucks. Plus the guy was cool about not charging me to put all the veggies on it. The sliders were DELISH -- super juicy, and the flavors on the toppings were a great compliment and kinda unique. Thumb up on fried pickles and the fries. I like that he's got a huge contingent of condiments too. The food's great, and the value quotient is excellent. Yay Cow Bells! read more

Stopped here after a beautiful walk on the boardwalk. Ordered a side of fried pickles which are to die for! The breading was crispy, thick and flavorful while the pickles were juicy. The breading really encases the pickles and doesn't drip of oil when you pick it up to eat it. Highly recommended going out of your way to try these! Haven't had a chance to taste the burgers but I've heard great things about them from friends. I'll have to try one next time I stop in! read more

BIG Yellow Trailer-can't miss it! Daniel and his burgers are the real deal! What I enjoy most about Cowbells is that Daniel isn't trying to reinvent the Cheeseburger. He is making delicious burgers and with each bite you can taste the time and effort placed into making each one; they're hand pressed. I recommend the Blue Flame and Spare Tire. And, sometimes at Cowbell's they'll have a (Not So) Secret Menu with new burgers-just ask! Delicious burgers made by deliciously friendly people. Keep it up @Cowbells512 ! read more

Came here the first time out of sheer curiosity and throughly enjoyed the grub as well as the scene. Dan is a cool ass guy and hooked me up my second visit cause he remembered me and my group of friends. This place has by far the best burgers in town. I've lived in Louisiana and Texas (2 states that know their flavors) and I have not found a more flavorful burger than at Cow Bells. All the burgers are delicious, but the Pilgrim Burger is definitely my favorite! It's fresh, healthy, and loaded with flavor. The cranberries and basil mayo make it extremely tasty. I've been to Huts and P Terry's, but I'm not sure what the fuss is about them, because Cow Bells is the place to go! The Rise n' Shine burger that Daniel makes is the perfect concoction to cure a hangover. I recommend this place to anyone who's visiting or lives in Austin and is a carnivore or a vegetarian. He has everything! I'm already craving some sweet potato fries with some of Daniel's homemade sexy sauce! Don't forget to get a fresh raspberry iced tea. I'll be back this week for sure. read more

Great burgers, friendly cook, easy location! Try the "sexy sauce" on WHATEVER you order. This is the only trailer in that little park worth eating at though, so make sure everyone wants burgers. Great vegetarian burger option too! read more

We went for a walk on the new board walk and ended up needing some grub. This place was everything we wanted! super close to where we ended up on the board walk and fresh food! The guy was super friendly, the food was delish and the price was right. Not to mention this burger trailer is probably the cleanest well kept up to date food trailer Iv ever seen. No complaints at all! He even gave me a couple $1 off coupons for next time which I can't wait to go back and use. read more

This little trailer is one of Austin's best secrets. Great food...especially the turkey burger which is to die for! Daniel, the owner, is one cool dude! He definitely takes pride in the food he serves, super friendly, and seems to never forget a face. The prices are just right and the location is easy and convenient. The website is well done and clever. There are so many more great things about this place but you gotta check it out for yourself. I highly recommend Cow Bells!!! read more

One of the best food trailers in Austin, Texas. The owner, Daniel, is very friendly and accommodating. His burgers are simply awesome. I especially love the Woody Harrelson burger with a black bean burger. Yum!!! I am getting hungry again just writing about this burger. I look forward to going back to Cow Bells, over and over again, to try some of the other burgers and menu options which all sound great. Oh... and you'll have to try the sweet potato fries. I LOVE sweet potato fries, and these are the best I've had. Great job Daniel. read more

Decided to try something new and Cow Bells did not disappoint! We grabbed a little bit of everything to try out the menu. I got the Archetype, though the safer choice on the menu, was filled with flavor! The tater tots has the right amount of crisp on the outside soft on the inside, the onion rings were damn delicious with the crunchy panko, and the fried pickles with sexy sauce did not let me down. We will be back! :) read more

The burger was very good, much better than I was expecting from a truck, and the eating area was a nice spot on a spring night. The only issue was the size of the burger, which looked like something you would get from McDonalds. If they work out the portions, this will be an easy recommendation. read more

Food so good did not have a chance to take a picture. On a family road trip, the hubster had a archetype with cheese, I had a blue flame as is, kids had the sliders- nova chicas. We shared tots and sweet potato fries. Everything tasted great. I wish I would have tried the homemade cherry lemonade next time. read more

Came here after I got off work and I'm glad I did! I was in the neighborhood and found them on yelp and now I know where to get a great tasting burger and panko crusted onion rings that will compete with some of the big dog burger joints here in town. I got the blue flame which is a burger dressed with blue cheese, grilled jalapeno, lettuce and tomato. I noticed they use a blue cheese dressing which at first I wasn't too sure about. After my first bite, I was sold. Instead of blue cheese crumbles the chunky dressing gave the burger that extra moisture which is often missing from your average blue cheese burger. Meat patty was cooked at a perfect medium which I also thought was bad ass! I used to have a girlfriend who insisted on getting everything cooked well done from burgers to steaks. I never understood how somebody could enjoy and over-cooked, dry burger or steak! I wish you the best ex-girlfriend. Bang. When you want to hit a target, you could use an arrow for precision, or just blow it to pieces with a shotgun. That's Cow Bells, and how much it hits the mark. I've been trying burgers all across Austin, trying to find the best one, and so far no one's been able to top this humble yellow trailer. Not Hopdoddy's with all its fancy trimmings. Not P. Terry's or even In N Out. Not Wholly Cow. Although all of those places are still good. Daniel (who's a pretty solid dude, by the way) has created something special here. No bells or whistles, just a nicely seasoned, fresh, well-prepared burger. He sticks to the fundamentals and gets them right. I get the Archetype, turkey or beef, depending on my mood, and I'm always satisfied. You know, there's something about a burger in a paper bag, with a little bit of grease leaking through that really makes my mouth water. Cow Bells is easy to miss, located in the tiny trailer area next to AMLI South Shore, but if you happen to be in the area, then definitely stop by. read more

We had an amazing experience celebrating our son's birthday with a burger delivered to our door. Daniel and Evan were so kind to provide service from our driveway while the kids played and enjoyed burgers, mini corn dogs and fried pickles. The hamburger was delicious, fresh and cooked to order. Adults and kids were satisfied and I've had several friends rave about the excellent hamburger they had. Thank you to Daniel, Evan and Cow Bells team for turning our Saturday afternoon party into a wonderful bash. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use their service again. Damn son! This place isn't messing around. I had the Rise n Shine burger which came with an egg, grilled ham and bacon. What an amazing combo to cure hangovers and tame a mighty appetite! Everything was cooked to perfection and the meat is where it's at! Have no idea what their recipe is but don't change a thing Cow Bells! Their menu is simple yet creative. All sorts of different stuff for different folks. I'm also thankful that they have umbrellas and fans outside to help tame the Texas heat. Well played! I'll be back for sure! read more

AWESOME! As always! Daniel hosted my Poolside Cookout last year for my office. This year he was asked to host my family 4th of July/Mom's 70th birthday bash! He absolutely brought it! This guy makes an amazing burger and has awesome catering business. I have already received requests to have him return and reminded by a few family members to get online and say how good he is! After trying to make plans to go to Cowbells for months to try the amazing burgers we had been hearing about for so long, my friend and I finally stopped by for a late lunch one Monday afternoon. I must say, I was terribly disappointed. While the burger was good and flavorfull, the patty in no way filled up my bun. There was enough meat for maybe half the bun. The onion rings were delicious. We went here on a recommendation - the burgers were definitely REALLY good, but not sure if it warranted the crazy crowd of people. There's not enough seating so people just sort of stand around tables and chairs waiting for people to leave. We found a small spot at a bar where I family of 5 crowded around to eat while standing. Might be better to go at an off time . Other than the seating issues, would definitely go back! read more

Yeah! Finally a burger trailer that caters to the super hungry and the lighter meals aficionados. I went yesterday with my boyfriend and he got the Spare tire burger - just his size. I got the pilgrim burger which blew me away. The turkey burger was not only juicy but also had a hint of cranberries that sparked a delightful taste. Thumbs up! read more
