I was quite stressed about my move because it was the first time that I, at 70 years old, had to manage a household move on my own, having lost my husband nearly a year ago. I had worked at packing until nearly midnight the night before the scheduled move and was not at all confident it would go well. Within minutes of the extremely professional team showing up, my stress level was in check and going down. I have experienced many corporate moves over my career, but none had workers more committed and invested in the success of the move. This team was phenomenal. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck for your moves in the Louisville, KY area.

They told me they could save me money by removing it, so I signed the paperwork to take it off. Looking back, I deeply regret that decision. During the move, my son's **brand-new, never-worn $200 Air Jordan sneakers**, which were not packed in a box, disappeared. Because our belongings were placed in temporary storage after the move, I didn't realize they were missing until about one to two weeks later. Since this happened in **April 2026**, I have been trying to get this matter resolved. I have repeatedly attempted to contact the local manager, but my calls have never been returned. The lack of communication and customer service has been extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, my credit card company has required me to jump through countless hoops. I filed a police report, provided the purchase receipt showing the shoes were bought in April, and now I've been asked to write an additional statement that repeats the same information already included in the police report. Meanwhile, I have not seen any indication that my credit card company has contacted Two Men and a Truck about my dispute. Based on my experience, I question why customers are encouraged to remove the additional protection coverage before a move. It left me feeling unprotected when my property went missing. This experience has been frustrating from start to finish. I have lost trust in this company and will never use its services again. **Beware and carefully consider whether to keep any protection coverage you purchase.**

So for these reasons, I rarely buy clothes and I make what I buy last as long as possible (which saves me a lot of money). However, aside from the odd item here and there, I haven't purchased new clothes for quite some time, and due to gaining weight and what I have wearing out after years of wear, I was in desperate need of new clothes. While in Louisville, my sister and I came across Mabel and Moss. It's such a lovely shop with awesome clothes, and with the help of the owner (it was like having a personal shopper), I tried on so many things. Unfortunately none of the dresses or tops fit me properly, but I still walked out of the store with several items: a jean jacket, a pair of jeans, two pairs of pants, a jump suit, and shoes. The clothes were not cheap (and tack on an extra 30% due to the currency conversion -- yikes!), but they are good, basic items that I really needed to rebuild my wardrobe, particularly the pants and jeans. Finding good jeans is almost impossible (and when you do find a style you like, they stop making them), and until I went to Mabel and Moss, I had not been able to find any non-jean pants to fit me properly and are suitable for work. And as a bonus, even though I am short, I did not need to hem the jeans and the pants -- amazing! I especially love the jeans -- they fit well and are sooooo comfortable. Hopefully I can purchase another pair and have them shipped. Unfortunately, just the other week, the owner announced that the physical store on 4th Street closed down as of December 20th, however they remain open online. I'm not sure if they will be re-opening a physical store in the future, but I hope so, because I intend to go back if I am ever in Louisville again, and I need to try on clothes first before I purchase them, since things fit so poorly on me. You can find so many item categories - they just won't be the highest quality, but if it's an item you think is cute or want to try without breaking the bank, you'll walk out with a few things. My highlight this round came from the t-shirts and their funny one liners. Service was available at checkout counters to ensure purchases went smoothly. If you have a question while shopping you'll likely need to seek a staff member.

I first heard of Five Below when I admired a friend's cell phone holder in their car. "Thanks, I…read moregot it at Five Below for $5!" I had recently spent three times as much for one from Amazon that fell apart a week after I bought it, so I was instantly intrigued. This weekend I made the trek out to the location in Middletown. It's conveniently located near the intersection of Shelbyville Rd and the Gene Snyder, and had ample parking. I walked in and was amazed. All for under $5, there is a huge assortment of everything you can imagine -- electronic gadgets, decor, exercise equipment, cosmetics. While some of the items cater to the preteen and teen crowd (locker decorations and organizers), there is still enough for an adult to warrant a visit out there. In addition to the cell phone holder that I wanted, I also picked up some earbud headphones and a couple of sheet masks, as well as some candy, all for under $15. I also eyed some of the pool floats and exercise gear (like resistance bands and kettlebells) for my next inevitable trip. The employees were very cheerful and helpful, making it an all around pleasant run to the store. Whatever you need, find it at the right price on your next trip to five below!
