Had an absolute blast coming here. We were here for a private event, and they rented out the full club. There were drinks, food, and putt putt available for the guests. They also had a live band that came in to perform that night. It was such a great evening, great views, they're near the airport, so getting to see the planes fly by at night was quite nice. The Cowboys Golf Club was an amazing experience for my husband, some of his golfing buddies and myself for his birthday. He was treated with meals included and drinks. The course itself was beautiful and challenging. The stops along the course for restrooms and more free snacks, drinks and meals was great at I think holes 7 and 9. We also enjoyed playing putt putt and using the futuristic driving range. Overall, well worth the money and would definitely come back and recommend! read more

Came here last weekend, and wow, this was such a wonderful experience. Ambiance/Atmosphere (5/5) - First, the golf course. It is such a great looking course. We played a full round, and each course was challenging and fun. The restaurant at the end of the night was great as well. It felt fancy, and it was nice to just relax and eat and drink with buddies. Staff (5/5) - At hole 8 on the golf course, there is a little station where someone serves drinks and hot dogs. There is also a cart girl who comes around and provides refreshments as well. At the restaurant, the waitresses were friendly and attentive. Food/Drink (5/5) - What I ordered: Beef Tartare (5/5) - This was one of the best tartares I have ever had. I was shocked. The presentation and flavor was there. Bone Marrow (5/5) - Just check the pics out. I was very surprised that they had this on the menu. Steak Salad (4.5/5) - It was great that it had steak with the salad, but it was really more of broccoli and steak. It was refreshing though. Lobster Spaghetti (5/5) - Although I wished it had a little more lobster, I cannot complain. I still could not believe that this place served these types of dishes. The good. Layout is really nice and they updated the practice facility. Bad is we were hitting off mats, the course was cart path only, and the greens were slower than a $40 mini. I get rain. I understand cart path on some holes. But if you're going to charge the exact same price when it's crap as you do when it's pristine, that's an issue! I was a participant in the Darryl Shamble Golf Group that played at your course today. I would like to commend the entire staff that had anything to do with our group. From arrival, to an on course briefing at hole #1, to them accommodating a few of our players, to the amazing food after the round. Everything to me was top notch, 5 Star, excellence at all levels. Great course and the clubhouse was full of Dallas memorabilia. Any NFL fan would enjoy that. Any golfer would enjoy the course.

This golf course is always clean and the staff has been friendly anytime we host an event here. I've been here twice with my company and both experiences have been pleasant. We're able to have great vendors on site and the little snack shop on the course is nice. Ryan was working while we were there and she was very nice and helpful! Our guests seemed to enjoy themselves and the play (although it was a tad slow). In the morning we had a bbq brunch with amazing chicken that fell off the bone and sausage/hot links. For dinner we had a nice fajita spread and again, they meat was cooked perfectly! All in all, from an event hosting standpoint, this is a great place to be! read more

Finally got a chance to play this course with a couple buddies. We got a vip deal that normally cost $225 for $125. VIP included unlimited food and drinks for the entire day, you could show up two hours before your tee time. The food at the club was great also. My top choices were the lumpia and the Korean ribs. The old fashioned wasn't to bad at all and they used some Yellowstone bourbon for it, first time i ever had that type but didn't disappoint. The course was one of the best I've ever played as well. The greens are very fast so Putt with caution. The carts were nice, had a Tom Landry cart . If i see another deal I'll definitely be back read more

You dont need to be a Cowboy fan to be a fan of this course. Everyone is fantastic. the course is well kept, not perfect but very well kept. Needs some TLC on the tee boxes and some of the greens also need some love. Still dont sleep on this course if you are in the area. read more

Played a tournament here in April and the greens were the worst ive ever played on. Every player was given a voucher to come back and play before the end of the year for $50 to make up for it. The course then immediately closed for full renovation. Called multiple times during the closure and were told the course wouldn't be open until December and the vouchers would be honored into the new year. Well...the trash Cowboys organization walked that one back and said they changed their mind and they expired and aren't honored. Apparently they expected over 200 people to use the voucher along with all the other people booking tee times over the holiday season. Truly a garbage organization all the way around. read more

Great facility, great course. I played the course two days and both days the course and the facility did not disappoint. Great customer service on the course and in the bar/restaurant. The course was in great shape a few holes are cart path only and there is a par 5 that is under construction with a temporary green. I did have a chance to dine and the food was pretty good. It was a buffet style since I was with an event. The first day I had lunch and it was also good a pastrami sandwich. Overall good experience and would visit again. Cowboys Golf Club is definitely only focused on the "experience" of playing at a place like this. There are many other courses in the area that care more about the condition and maintenance required for premium golf. Driving range was mats only and nobody could tell me why. Range balls were a mix of Taylormade practice balls and cheap range balls you can find anywhere. The carpet in the bar/dining room rolled better than the practice green. Chipping green was hardpan, basically dirt. The staff were all very friendly and professional and the food was excellent. If course conditions are important to you, might as well play any other muni in town and buy a dozen of the expensive balls, crappy hotdog, and save a few hundred bucks. read more

Great course and wonderful staff. Jill and Katie at the main bar were a perfect meet and greet couple. What little food I had was amazing for a good price. The course was unbelievable. Perfect in every way for any course to be in late Nov. Fred Diaz was an amazing host to show me what the facility had to offer and what special events they could hold for not only for my firm, but for my customers as well. I was able to meet both Summer and Taylor in the golf cart pathway with smiles, ready to serve !!!! Apparently, a group of 200+ isn't uncommon for this place. A wedding reception wouldn't be out of the question here !! I would recommend this to anyone looking to hold a private golf and/or private party event. The people who handle "memberships" here are either blatantly lying to prospective customers, or... they are completely oblivious to what's going on at their club. I advised my son against joining their "membership program", and as sons do, he ignored his father. I advised him against it because several people have told me they are ALWAYS booked with an event or the tee times for "members" are always full for days on end. My son joined... he showed up today... after being told "that's never a problem" on the phone... and what do you think happened? The course was booked for an event and every tee time was booked for the next 5 days straight! LMAO. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place like the plague. read more

The Good... Course design is great and very playable. The young lady in the pro shop very hospitable but the shop itself very small and understaffed making the check in slower than needed. Restaurant and bar service by the ladies very nice and hospitable also but again small and undersized. Definitely not in line with "everything's bigger in Texas". Clubhouse and arrival has no form or function no flow with a lack of signage and way finding and a go this way then around that way then across the parking lot back that way to a course with no Turn back at the clubhouse but with some refreshment stops along the way. The cart girl was very hospitable, using that word a lot, but was surprised there was just one. The Bad... Course condition well below par and well worn. Let's start with the periphery, over grown and not maintained no real "first cut", fairways surprisingly the best feature, tee boxes a 6 out of 10 due to over play but the greens' condition will give a 9 for design but a 3 for condition. It appears the Supt does not know when grass grows in Texas and not performing preventive maintenance and planting in a timely manner was very surprised by missing strips of grass around the fringes of the greens on multiple greens and attempts to patch very poorly done. Have seen better in third world countries. Asked a local about the condition and he said it get worse from here during the year due to the over play and tournaments and poor maintenance. The Ugly... Course Play, never saw a marshal must less a starter should have seen this as a sign of things to come. Groups just doing what they want and a lacking of golf etiquette made for a long round. No real management of the playing experience just leaves each to their own and all it takes is a few egos and makes for a long day and backups. Was funny to see a couple complaining about the pace of play to the pro shop and they actual lied and conned them to get a rain check for slow play and they as a twosome were actual the problem holding up many groups. Those distractions made you forget the constant sound of the jets from DFW well almost you couldn't hear conversations amongst yourself on the greens and tee boxes so very loud. The course would be better served as an overall NFL experience than just the suffering Cowboys. Unfortunately all the logo merchandise Cowboys. A few relics of their past success but like the current team the course is lacking good management and needs to look at their roster and focus on the fundamentals. Summary glad I paid twilight prices at $75 could not imagine paying $250 a person for this "experience". Was funny saw a member of a group in front of me at the bar and restaurant who paid the same twilight rate but claimed all inclusive and got his meal and bar tab for free. Will this review convince the management to make changes probably not, seems to be the same management mentality of the Team being applied to this arm of the brand. They definitely came a few "Stars" short like the team but a few folks there made a good impression sad to see this being mismanaged and poor condition of what was once a great legacy. I played here last year and had a great experience so with my brother in law coming into town I took him here. We got there over an hour early to eat and hit balls. Our cart wasn't ready so we went to eat first. From there I had to ask the person in the pro shop 3 separate times for our cart before getting it 10 minutes before our tee time. Bad start but I didn't come for the cart or service, I came for the amazing golf. I'll keep it short- it's in terrible shape. I'm embarrassed that I made my brother in law pay over $200 for a course that looked closer to a $30 municipal course. I have other feedback but I will not be back as there are plenty of nicer courses in the area. Check out one of the tee boxes...disgraceful read more

First and foremost, it's best to keep in mind that playing golf at this location is more about the quality of the experience than it is about the quality of golf. For the price of your round, you'll also get a meal included with your round. When the cart service stops at your hole, the non-alcoholic beverages are included as well. Lots of cool and unique merch in the pro shop for all you Cowboy fans. Displays of the Lombardi trophies won by previous teams are on hand to gawk upon. There's a plaque on each tee box to tell the story of some valiant effort made by a team and how amazing the Cowboys are. If that's the kind of experience you are expecting, then you'll not be disappointed. If you're looking for the most amazing golf conditions available in the area based on price and availability, this probably isn't the place. A great time was had by our group, but we weren't out there trying to win the FedEx cup either. Realistic expectations will carry a long way at this track. It sits on the north end of DFW airport so you're gonna have a lot of air traffic flying overhead. The conditions are consistent. Greens roll true. Bunkers are filled with small rocks. (Don't stand in the near vicinity unless you want to get sprayed w/shrapnel.) Overall the course is not too difficult when playing from the appropriate tee box. The course and experience behind it, provides a unique take on a round of golf. The novelty of playing here is certainly enough to peak your curiosity, and I would suggest that anyone who is looking to entertain a potential business group come here for sure. But if your a golf junkie that wants only the best conditions, I would suggest going to the municipal course just up the road. The conditions there are nearly the same for a much more reasonable price. Ok read more

We held our annual client appreciation outing here and deeply regret the decision. The golf course staff is unbelievably rude, arrogant, and incompetent. The facts: 1) not enough golf carts for our outing, 2) started the outing nearly an hour late, 3) staff literally told us "not our problem" when we asked for a solution to the above, 4) treated our partner sponsors very poorly by not equipping them with what was agreed to. There seems to be a culture of arrogance which is hard to fathom. Having done similar events at much nicer courses over the years, I've never been so embarrassed to see my clients and employees treated in such a manner. This is a pretty golf course but right in the flight path of DFW - and as covered in other reviews it is very loud. Again, I'm baffled at their unjustified arrogance. Last point - the food and beverage staff did a terrific job. Unfortunately, everyone else at the course is the opposite of customer service. I would highly recommend you hold your corporate event ANYWHERE else. read more

I have never had a connection or conflict of interest with this facility or business. I gave a low review due to the disgusting lack of cleanliness in the restroom among other problems. Wow has this place been neglected ... Tee boxes, fairways and greens are absolutely horrendous. The greens had just been punched and that wasn't the problem. Spongy and pocked... So many old hole plugs... I counted 11 in a 25 square foot space on one hole, a par 3. Either the super is asleep at the wheel or there isn't one. this course is marginal at best. I played there many years ago when it first opened and it was a wonderful experience. It looks to me like someone has purchased a course who doesn't know anything about golf. He would be better off going to tribute, water chase, tour 18 or other municipal courses such as the ones in Garland. You are truly paying for the food here. The range was so small and overplayed that the grass was absolutely destroyed. The last two par threes on the backside were closed down to one Teebox that was completely destroyed. The range balls were old and filthy. They have the range balls in a wooden box. When I finish the round I left my rangefinder in the golf cart. I turned the golf cart in and the young man and took it underneath the ground to their garage. You guessed it no one turned it in. Truly a disappointment. And truly a waste of money read more

Well, I'll have to give them a second chance, but when we went there we waited approximately 30 minutes for someone to help us, meaning we had to flag someone down. One person sat us and didn't tell the servers that we were there. You would think, one of them would have noticed us, but they didn't. The new area they opened for eating is nice and airy, with a nice view of the course. Awesome decor. The outside area has cool seating and misters for hot days. Would be a beautiful area to sit during the fall, when days are much cooler. The food and cocktails were delicious. We all ordered salads and they were fresh with just the right amount of dressing.
