I had a great evening out at Lake Park Golf Course. The course was in excellent condition--especially the greens, which were clearly well taken care of. They rolled smooth and true, which made putting really enjoyable. One thing I appreciated most was the overall tempo of play. It never felt rushed, but there were also no frustrating delays. It created a relaxed, enjoyable pace that made the whole round more enjoyable, especially during the evening hours when the weather was perfect. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the course layout makes for a fun and rewarding experience whether you're playing competitively or just enjoying a casual round. There are two golf courses here and it's perfect. If you're new to golf, play the executive course. It'll boost your confidence and will help You prepare for the 18 hole course across the street. My recommendation is to learn how to play golf, learn the etiquette use the executive course and then across the street at the 18 hole and then move onto bigger courses so you can learn the game properly Plus. This is very inexpensive compared to most courses. read more

My son and I play here often and always enjoy our rounds. It is a fun, confidence-building course with minimal hazards, which makes it great for developing skills. My concerns are less about the course itself (though the driving range mats could really use an upgrade) and more about player behavior and enforcement. Recently, I watched a golfer take a wedge shot from another green, leave a large divot, and never repair it. Another group of high-school-aged players drove their cart directly onto a green. On top of that, golf-ball theft has become a real issue. If you hit a nice ball in the fairway, you have to retrieve it fast, because players from other holes might take a Pro V1 before you even get there. Lastly, cart fees are outrageous, especially charging a full fee for a youth player. That really needs to improve. read more

It's an average links course very forgiving wide fairways it can get backed up but I haven't seen a course that is fairly priced that doesn't get backed up, greens are above average overall lot of bang for you buck and especially beginner friendly course read more

I would improve on the workers. To start I was impressed by the course Warden and course layout. I then moved to the bar and which I was cut in line by 3 gentlemen, and the bartenders said nothing st all, took their order and put me off to the side. Finally I got drink after 15 min Proceeded to play my 9 holes and found the course to be amazing, and well groomed. It was not until I crossed MARK'S path that things took a turn for the worse. Never have I been to a course and stared down endlessly. Now my team and I were new players and did not understand all the rules, especially where to drive the golf cart. Mark vulgarly proceeded to yell and disrespect my team and one of my teammates wife. Once we moved MARK finally left but then proceeded to stare my whole team and I down. I asked him if he had another problem and at that point he lost control and charged towards my team and I, putting us is a very defensive situation. I asked MARK for his name and he refuse to tell me his Last Name. All he said was Mark and left to call the course Warden, at which that point we explained the situation and continued to play. Ultimately this was not a great first experience, I was referred to play here bc it is a nice course and I cannot lie the course was great. But MARK and knowing he works here was a very concerning and when he is working I will not be playing. As I will pass this message on to people that I know, I hope this course rectifies MARK and his actions. Thanks. read more

Whoever run this course does not care. Greens had weeds. All of the flags had holes in them. Marshal was very rude. Keep threatening us about how he was from Jersey. Definitely not worth $50. read more

First time playing at Lake Park. For some reason, they want a credit card number just for a tee time. And while you can say this is normal, it's not normal. Not at all. Not everyone has a CC and to keep them from playing at a muni course is unspeakable. Shame on them for this requirement. As for the course, not in too bad of shape. Some places were just bare dirt, but I've seen worse. However there's no excuse for that when your course is next to the lake and you have unlimited water. The fairways were cut really low. Like you could putt on them kind of low. The greens had recently been worked on, so hard to say good or bad. But there were no ball marks on any green I saw, even par 3's. We went on a Thursday morning and the course was packed, which was surprising. All in all it was ok for a muni. The prices were less expensive than others and you get what you pay for. Wife never played before and she didn't even lose 1 ball. So that should tell you there's very little water and practically zero tree's. Summary, you pay ~$25 and you get 18 holes that are worth $25. read more

Noise ordinance? Why on Monday (or Tuesday after holidays) do you have people cutting the grass on ride on lawn mowers between 6am and 7am? There are apartments next door. Lewisville has a noise ordinance. If you open at 9 start at 7am like you should. read more

This is the absolute worst excuse for a golf course I've seen, and the lack of management makes this field-type of course even worse. It took us 5 and a half hours to get through this shit hole - and is an endeavor I'll never partake in again. Overall worst experience golfing I've had in 2023. read more

The golf course is nice and a good confidence booster. However, the starter had ridiculous expectations for the pace of play. We were told to hurry up on hole 8 in a very aggressive way. We were on pace to finish the front 9 in two hours on a Saturday. We then stopped for food & beers at the turn, but no one passed us so I'm not sure why we were told to hurry. We were then told again to hurry a few holes later even though no one behind was waiting for us. We ended up playing 18 in about 4 hours and 15 minutes. For a Saturday this is extremely fast and I did not appreciate the starter rushing us multiple times. read more

Marshalls and the course itself is not kept up. Marshalls gave me and my friends a hard time and disrupted our golf 3 times through 18. It got so bad that my friends ended up losing it and just left. He's a very mellow guy and doesn't really talk much so when he lost it. I knew I had to write a review. read more

Great service and friendly smiles. Range balls are grade A & B. Golf Marshal cared to ensure the course was at a good pace. Would not recommend in 45 mph wind but they cannot control that. Lol. The 18 hole championship golf course is definitely not a championship golf course my fiancé and I played last weekend and overall it was in horrible condition. Came here on a Tuesday with a tee time and it was crazy busy. Range mats were hard as a rock and you have to use your own balls for short game. Seems there is no Marshall/starter. Due to that the pace of play was SUPER slow. Greens are not evenly cut or rolled but the fairway and tee boxes were decent. We were 3.5 hours in and were only on hole 13. The grilles hot dogs were burnt but decently priced. Won't come back again. read more

Nice course for beginners. Wide fairways, few trees & bunkers. You can slice your drives (like me) and still hit fairway (on the hole next to you) and have a good look at the pin. Range balls are 8/12/16 for S/M/L baskets. Good music at the driving range. read more

* Note * - There are TWO facilities for "Lake Park" Golf course: there's a rinky-dink par 3 on one side of the street, and a semi-decent 18-hole course on the other. I did not know this. I came here on Saturday and pulled into the parking lot for the "Lake Park Executive" course; there's nothing executive about it - it's a little par 3 course, with 1 par 4. I signed up saying I hadn't been here before, and was sent on my way. I got a cart (which is completely unneccessary on this tiny course) and met up with a mother, father, and son on the first tee. They were nice enough to let me play with them, but right away I knew this wasn't a place for "real" golf. I looked around and saw other twosomes hacking up the course - couple ladies "I've never used the 6 before!", couple young boys, just people in general who are just learning the game. I had a nice time, but it was really disappointing. I don't know why the guy at the front desk let me play: I am not a great golfer, but I DRESS like one - he should have let me know there's a REAL course across the street. Well, lesson learned. Next day, I went back - to the REAL course. I had a blast playing there with this guy who is a regular. It was just he and I and we had fun - not many people are all that chatty but this guy was and he was really interesting, so that was cool. I played well, but the course isn't that difficult; it's pretty flat, none of the holes presented any tough challenge (but just playing is challenge enough for me). Even the regular admitted the course was good to "practice" rather than play. A couple holes line a raised train embankment / stone wall - which of course I hit into every single time. One hole lines a busy street, across which is a soccer field - I've never hit a ball into a street in my life but of course, today I did. It was pathetic. The greens were in pretty bad shape - it really affected my putts too; it would be dead/gray dirt for some time, then a little patch of actual grass which would slow down the ball just enough to kill your par. It's an open course, no brush to lose your ball, but plenty of people in your fairway from nearby holes. I probably won't go here again. read more

This is a fun course to walk. It isn't going to be a challenging course for low handicappers (not an issue for me) but it is fun for rookies and high handicappers. This use to be my home course when I lived in Corinth, and now that I live in Allen I still take time to come here. I have enjoyed the progress the course has made in recent years, with new greens, and better fairways. The course has come a long ways and only become better with each passing year. The course is wide open and allows you to attack the pin, but be warned if you get in that thick rough you will chunk away to get a decent lie. Keep grinding no matter what the day is because Golf if Golf! enjoy. read more

From March to October, most of us in Texas pick up our clubs to work on our golf game! I tend to check out Lake Park in order to hit up the driving range, which used to be open till 10 pm (with the lights on) but unfortunately now the range closes at 8 pm . Great overall course for the price you pay, wish they kept the lights on till late still! read more
