Well I have to vent alittle and share my experience. I was referred to Kake Fetish a few years back…read morebut hadn't ordered. Well I finally decided to order the superhero cake Zion has talked about since atleast May. I paid in full 6/12 once my order was confirmed to show my business is good. The fact that her June promotion was free delivery & could get his cake to me no later than noon was icing on the cake for me! The process seemed smooth enough Friday morning I noticed I didn't receive the email she was suppose to send to confirm my delivery address so I emailed her. I woke up the day of to a email that she could no longer deliver she overbooked. Still trying to be calm .... I followed up to let her know my day was planned out I couldn't get to Frisco to pick up a cake that we agreed was being delivered. I then received a call from Rikki after 10a to let me know the cake hadn't been cut out but she could rush it and have her daughter drop it off with a delivery she had for Desoto by 2p. My heart sank at the words of rushing my baby cake. After expressing I didn't want a rushed cake because that's not what I paid for. She then said she would not rush it she promised I'd have it by 5 since I was looking to start a very small cake and ice cream gathering at 6. At 5:58 I called her and text but no answer. Around 6:11 I get a email saying she's on her way. My patience was shot at this point. I mean as a parent having to cancel the majority of any plans for him was a hard decision. To have the cake he helped me pick was my silver lining for him. About 7:15p I get a call from Kake Fetish letting me know she was on the toll way & had saw my text from about 6p she bluntly ask if I still wanted the cake. Very nonchalant and inconsiderate in tone and actions. My reply still trying not to lose it was ... it depends on where you are it's well past what I had to agree to. She let me know she had left about 15 minutes ago she was on the toll way.... so me thinking out loud I say so I'm looking to get a 3 year olds cake about 8p or shortly after I said I'll just take a refund this is horrible! She said ok and immediately hung up. No good bye no I need to go .... nothing! No apology. No consideration. No professionalism. I don't care how good your product is if you don't have good customer service or just no common courtesy I can't and want! I had to wait to let some of the emotions go behind it but I'm still unhappy my baby was let down. He cried when he realized mommy didn't have his superhero cake and that made it personal. I want give up on finding both great work and professionalism. I just needed to share my experience l. I hope no parent or child has to experience what we did. Of course I don't just talk I have my receipts.

This place has such cute merchandise -- jewelry, custom teas, lotions, body essentials, and of course the wine and other alcohol products they sell. Many of their products are very reasonably priced. As I was getting rung up, I was able to chat a bit with the shop owner -- you could tell she took a humble pride in owning her shop, and in having many customers there on a week night. I am always happy to support a local business and someone who is passionate in their business. Would definitely visit again if we ever found ourselves in McKinney.
