One of my good friends booked Cowtown Cycle Party for her Bachelorette. For a first "Pedal Party" experience, we all had a blast! We brought our own alcoholic drinks (no glass bottles allowed) and got dressed for cute pics. While peddling is required to keep the vehicle moving uphill, the car does have a motor so intense peddling is not necessary! Our Captain took us through Dallas/Fort Worth, where we hit up landmarks such as the Fort Worth Water Gardens and took group photos. During the pedal ride, we played multiple drinking games while blasting our Spotify playlists. If I can make any recommendation, definitely dress comfy and bring water. While the pedaling is not that intense, the combination with alcohol did not sit well with me and my chest hurt during parts of the experience. Pedaling breaks and water helped, and it luckily did not break the experience for me. WOO Been on quite a few pedal parties/bike bars/group therapies whatever you want to call it. Let me tell you what made this one superior! 1. The Carts! The pedal cars were much newer than others I've been on. The seats were much more comfortable than any I've sat on. They have much more cushion and surface area than an actual bike seat. The speaker lets someone connect via bluetooth and play their own music, sounded great. No complaints on the cart! 2. The Staff! Super friendly and helpful staff. Marco and Keely brought the energy! They gave us some super fun drinking games, made sure everyone was having a blast, knew a bunch about the history of Fort Worth, brought us out-of-towners to fun locations we wouldn't have been aware of, and encouraged safety while doing so. We went over protocols for what to do in any given scenario, and it made the whole event hassle free and enjoyable. They were all super accommodating to any requests! 3. The Location. Fort Worth has a very beautiful downtown, there are so many old restored buildings and murals that we got to see on our ride. Healthy drinking? Sign. Me. Up. This was such a fun thing to do with a group of people. Captain Coale was our guide and he was awesome. He was so much fun and engaged with us the entire time. The ride was about 2 hours and it included a few stops. The paddle pub had a tiny bit of power in the form of a motor to assist us, so we had some easy peddling in addition. In spite of some rain and wet conditions, we had a great time on the Cowtown Cycle Party. A few tips: Wear tennis shoes. My flip flops fell off a few times. The pedaling was more intense than I thought it would be, especially going uphill. Cups of wine spill easily over bumps. If you want wine, consider bringing it in a plastic container with a lid. Beer cans fared better over bumpy terrain. The driver stops at a few local bars for bathroom breaks. Winchester was a cool Irish pub. The cycle bar has a bluetooth speaker system. I was part of a 16 party group for my brother in law's birthday, & it is so much fun!! Our beerless leader Heather was AMAZING!! She is hilarious and made this experience that much more fun! We all loved her! So you must arrive about 30 minutes beforehand to make sure everyone signs the waiver and get the coolers set up. They have these cute koozie's for you already in the cup holders which is a genius idea considering most of us had forgotten to bring any. There is a medium size speaker in the middle so we were able to play some music as we cycled. There were four stops on our way, all of them which were bars of course. People were able to go to the restroom, take shots or simply get another drink. Heather gave us about 15-20 minutes at each place. My group made reservations for 2 bikes (total of about 32 people) on a Thursday night. This trolley/bike hybrid contraption was fun to do once, but I don't think I would ever do it again. It sure attracted a lot of attention cruising through Downtown Fort Worth at a whopping 5 mph (if we even reached that speed) and it seemed like it would be fun, but I wasn't wow-ed or super excited during the experience. Let's talk about the good things first: [ POSITIVES :) ] + They had a loud speaker which can be accessed via bluetooth of AUX cable, which was really cool because we got to play our own music from our phones + BYOB! No glass bottles. A nice way to pregame or drink something while you bike. (I'm not sure if the cooler was provided or if someone in our group brought our own) + Stopped by 3 breweries / bars: 1) The Collective Brewing Project 2) T & P Tavern 3) Houston St. Bar & Patio + Our guides were very chill and tried to keep the pace up lol [ NEGATIVES :( ] +/- (1/2 positive, 1/2 negative) - The trolley/bike is well lit and loud (because of the music speaker), so cars were able to see that we were a traffic hazard. Plus our guides would ding the bell so that drivers are aware that we were making our effort to slowly trudge across an intersection - I really wish there was a back up motor or something that could help us along, those inclines got tough as people got drunk and tired towards the end of the night, so it was a bit of a struggle to get back because some people were just not trying that hard, if at all - For some intersections, the light would last about 15-20 seconds, and that wasn't enough time to cross - There was SOME street parking, but if there were no spaces left, you had to park at the flower shop's parking lot, which is discounted at $2 (cash only!!!) if you have the Cowtown Cycle Party business card on your dashboard [ TIPS ] * Wear comfortable clothing. I wore jeans and I'm not sure if that was the best idea on a warm summer night. I probably would've worn work-out shorts * 3 seats were adjustable so if you're short like me, request to sit in an adjustable seat! * You are able to store your items in the shelves on top of the bike. The bike is never unattended, the guides will always be there * You only have about 15-20 mins to spend at each bar, because most of the time is spent pedaling to get to the next destination * The tour lasts about 2 hours, depending on how fast your group can pedal. There are some downhill parts, but what goes down must also go up, so there is an equal amount of inclines read more

I agree with the other reviewer. It was fun once but I would probably never do this again (at least not into downtown Fort Worth.) The biggest problem, I feel, is when the business moved _from_ a garage in downtown Fort Worth to a new spot about 2 miles south of downtown (next to Rahr Brew.) So, now, the tour is no long actually in downtown and you now spend at least 30 minutes of your tour _peddling_ the bike into and out of downtown. And, if you're familiar with downtown you know that there are hills and potholes to the south. It seems smarter if they trucked the bike bars into downtown, the riders meet in downtown - do their thing and then the company takes the bikes back to the southside once the tours are done. Also, I don't think a tour around downtown is all that fun. I think a more enjoyable tour would be in the Arlington Heights/West 7th area. So it was a fun novelty and be prepared to get a significant workout now that you have to pedal all the way into downtown (and out) before your "tour" really even starts. read more
