I THOUGHT this company was my dream come true but....... I've learned that Mike will cut corners if need be. I hired this company to do work on a few of my properties. I do not go out and check the work as I expect it will be done and its for rental properties and I'm not always available. Mike installed a garage door opener in 2016, yes 2016. It has worked well BUT it was installed using straps instead of angle iron. Confused? Yeah well us normal folk don't always know what the pros know. Strapping is the cheesy way to install the opener and will break years down the road. Mine broke. I called kim and asked her what work they had done on that rental as I have multiple properties. She said they installed the garage door opener and gave me a date of install. She said they are booked up till the end of December and that she would get back to me. I get a text.this morning that it will be an $85.00 charge!!!! When I balked about it she recanted her story and said she didnt say they installed it. She actually was raising her voice to me over the phone because I questioned their integrity. Who raises their voice at the customer? Who doesn't stand behind their work? Great communication, accurate up-front (LOW!) pricing, and wonderful service!!! After my garage door opener ripped itself out of the sheet metal and crumpled a bit of the door, I figured I'd have to buy a new door and started psyching myself up to spend a couple thousand dollars. I checked Yelp and found Cowtown Door Company, as I often rely on positive yelp reviews and prefer to keep my business in Fort Worth whenever possible. After requesting a quote for a new garage door, I was contacted almost immediately and sent options and prices. The prices were waaaaay less than I expected but, on a whim, I sent a picture of the damaged door/bracket/brace, and asked if it was repairable. They replied that it would be repairable, with a few replacement parts, and would be a tiny fraction of what I expected to spend on a full door replacement. I made an appointment for the next morning and was so pleasantly surprised that the parts were replaced, garage door reshaped flawlessly, and everything lubricated in less than an hour. To recap: in a span of less than 24 hours, my garage door committed suicide, was expertly repaired, and now functions perfectly for way less than I thought I'd have to spend! My experience was basically exactly the same as Brandon S. - my door opener ripped the metal, I crumpled onto my garage door in a ball blubbering because the last thing I need right now is a bill for a new garage door. I put in for a quote for repair through Yelp!, Kim responded IMMEDIATELY and set up a good time for Mike to come fix my door. He showed up on time, was extremely nice and friendly, died exactly what needed to be done fast, and even put in an extra support for me for free.
