I hired them for my sister's wedding, which totally saved the reception. EVERYONE got tehir photo taken by it - sometimes several - and my sister now has a picture of everyone at her wedding. The best part? No one took their shirt off in the booth (mom has some truly awful friends and relatives, absolute trash). The other great part was it kept the kids entertained so they weren't running around knocking the old folks down. Children and the elderly don't mix well, they're too much alike. Also, they show up at things in their cool Volkswagen and you can get your photo there. What event doesn't need a photo booth? When I'm elected Pope? Yeah, people will want to take photos. When Secretary Clinton is inaugurated the first and second time as President of the United States? Pictures or it didn't happens. Grandma's funeral? Okay, maybe that's too far even if she is a terrible person. Honestly, when I consider who my grandparents I'm shocked I'm not the antichrist. If you want to make sure your party is on point, get these people to show up.

I don't know if they have the gimmicky props that other rental places offer (obviously not needed on Halloween). I've always found those things a little un sanitary anyway. Compared to a photo booth, Derby City Selfie offers a large backdrop that caters to large groups. This would be ideal for family reunions, proms, holiday parties, etc. - basically events that bring together large groups of family and friends that aren't shy to pose together. Our photo card gave us 4 photos and the name of the event, including date. I appreciated how many ways I could receive my photos - email, Facebook, printing, text, etc. Who doesn't want to share their photos? Very friendly team working the event. They seemed to genuinely enjoy getting groups ready for their poses and laughing with them when they weren't exactly ready for the perfect shot. Its pro of having the big screen and more room is also its only con. There's something fun about being in a small photo booth, mashed up with 2-4 people willing to get inside and knowing no one else can see what you're doing. Knowing your crowd and preference is the key.

Our magical day has come and gone and we can't say enough good things about Dappy Hays! From the regular communication, customizing of our logo with two different photos from our trip to Venice a year prior, selecting props that reflected our individual tastes and personalities...Jonathan was incredibly responsive and collaborative every step of the way! We only had to make sure there was enough space at our reception venue and a chair and Dappy Hays provided everything else!!! Dappy Hays set up a photo booth for my daughter's wedding. I worried that maybe a photo booth…read morewould be intrusive, or maybe kind of tacky, but no! Her guests LOVED it, and now my daughter has some really great photos of people who were at the wedding. Dappy Hays' staff came dressed professionally (no jeans or T shirts), were there on time and tore down without disturbing the vibe of the wedding -- I don't think I even noticed they were packing up. Their selection of props was great -- it brought out a side of my son that I'd never seen, and that's a great thing, because he's normally very quiet and shy, and boy, did he let loose! I laugh every time I se those pictures. :-) All in all, we were really happy to have gotten the photo booth, and I'd hire Dappy Hays again if I needed them.
