Came here last year 3 times cause we liked it so much. First day back in Beaver Creek so came here for first night dinner. Elote appetizer didnt disappoint and just as good as we remember. However the service this go around was less than desirable. Our bill got messed up, the waiter was slow at best. I literally saw my beer sitting at the bar waiting for him for over 10 minutes as I waited for it and he still never brought another server finally did. Hopefully it gets better tomorrow. We stopped in at Coyote Cafe for their happy hour and each had a glass of Malbec. It was only $5 per glass and it was a good pour. This is extremely cheap, especially in this area, so we were very pleased . A glass of wine at other restaurants in the area seemed to run about $12-19. The wait staff was very nice as well. Located on the second level of Beaver Creek lifts. Bf and I picked this place for breakfast for our second day of skiing. Place has a chill atmosphere and price is right! BF got huevos rancheros which was delicious ipo. I wouldn't order it personally since it has black beans. I don't like beans! I went light and ordered biscuits and gravy (not that light). We hit this bar occasionally after a big pow day at the Beav, but it's not about the food. It's about a cold draft beer, yuckin' it up about the runs that day and people watching. This is a great place for reliving the day and watching for famous or semi-famous ski bums. Plus they have a huge screen that normally is showing non-stop ski porn, but last time I was in there in Feb. 2012 I think it was broken. Service is hit-or miss. I often have to get up from my table and go to the bar to get my first beer or I'll die of thirst waiting for somebody to show up at my table. That seems to light a fire under somebody 'cause after the first order from the bar, I never have to wait long for attention. Doesn't seem to matter whether it's busy or not either. The food is "food". If you're starving it'll fill the void but really, I don't think anyone goes here for the food. And it won't require a 2nd mortgage to get something edible either. It's a cool spot to hit immediately off the runs while you decide where you really want to go for the evening. The atmosphere is really the draw and that starts to fizzle out once the lifts close. read more

Went twice in one day (last Saturday)... I went with 3 lady friend for lunch. The new bride wearing her baby blue/torquoise tank w/ Just Married in rhinestones, 2 hot blondes and me, wearing my black Guess open toe sling-back heels with my bikini and a cover-up aka FUPA cover. I never thought I would wear that 1.) in public and 2.) one of my favorite ski resorts ever!!! We shared a pitcher of the Perfect Margarita. It was pretty perfect, I'm not going to lie. The chips and cheesy dip was insane (not a fan of the chips but the dip was lovely), my tortilla soup w/chicken was lovely, even more lovely with a nice hit of sourcream on top. I ordered the kid's burger because I just wanted a simple bun and meat. I was just happy with my margarita so didn't get to the burger. All 3 other girls got the quesadilla (chicken and beef) and they were stoked and full after 2 pieces. _________________________ That same evening the late night crew was ready to get a late night libation... this time we shared pitchers of Sunshine Wheat and House Margarita. Disclaimer: It was spring skiing We dined here on a lovely spring skiing day. Easy to grab an outdoor table. Staff was wonderfully sweet - brought us a pitcher of water, attempted to find power for one of our iphones to change, and turned on the heaters for us I got the steak salad - delish. We started with the guac - amazingly good for a ski town in a land locked state! The other dined on tacos that looked great and tamales. All looked fab. Views are very nice, slightly blocked being down a level, but sunny and relaxing. Bonus - you can wear your ski boots in the restaurant and into the bathroom! Quick turn around on our orders. This is my apres ski destination when I hit the Beav. Yeah, you could hit the Chop House right at the base of the Beav, but that's a bit too high society for this knuckledragging dirtbag. I mean seriously, who the hell drinks a glass of wine after skiing/riding? (and I love good wine!) Cheap beers, cheap-ish drinks, crappy service, and 16 oz PBRs in a gigantic can for 2.50 or so. I recently discovered having a huge PBR can in front of you is also a great conversation starter. This is a perfect way to end a day of double black bumps and tree runs. P.S. You can also listen to the Ricola horn blowing guy blowing his horn a level below you. It really adds to the ambience, or something. P.P.S. The food's servicable. Don't expect greatness, but you also won't get sick and my ham and cheese sammy was actually pretty nice. If you want high quality food, there are plenty of other options in the village. read more

I just moved back to CO and decided to swing back through the old Coyote Cafe. I'm in Denver now, but I used to live in Eagle Vail (about a mile down the road from Beaver Creek). If I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and a reasonably priced beer on the mountain, this was a go to. This particular visit, I was with my girlfriend showing her my old stomping grounds, and we had decided to come up to the mountains for the 4th, we didn't have any plans but we brought our camping gear just in case we decided to stay up there for the night. The waitress we had here, suggested a place and basically drew us a map of how to get there. In case it was a local secret, I won't put it on here, but it was a great spot. Just like anywhere in ski resorts it can get pricey, look out for happy hours and specials. read more

We're at the beave on closing day. Stopped in for a lunch-snack. Got a beer and beef quesadilla to share... Two more shared beers later we left quite happy... Keep in mind this is more of a locals dive bar in a fancy-pants country-club environment so adjust expectations accordingly... The red sauce made the dish. I didn't know what to expect from anything at the Beaver Creek Village, but I assumed that it was all going to be very tourist-y and corporate. This place felt like it was truly a piece of local culture. It was loud and raucous in a good way--and I went on a Monday. I wouldn't recommend this place if you were looking for great (or even good) Mexican food. But I'd be happy to recommend it as a great place to have a drink after a good day on the slopes. read more

Do not go here if you're looking for a fun/relaxing time. Me and my buddies went here after a long day of skiing to relax and the service was terrible. We were tipping 20% per drink and they kicked us out because the bartender wasn't "getting tipped enough". Ridiculous. Telling me I need to teach my friends "how to tip". Im disgusted. I'm not upset with the paying so much aspect but when we are all giving you more than a normal tip there is no right for a business to kick you out for that. After a long day of shredding in a fog & snow storm no one really wanted beer given the 2 hour drive ahead; however, everyone really wanted someone warm to drink be it soup or a beverage. He headed down one level to Coyote Cafe and snatched up literally the only table that was available. On top of that luck we got lucky it was the only table big enough to hold 6 of us. The items we did order were pretty good: hot chocolate & hc with baileys in it for the non-drivers, hot tea, vegetarian green chilli, & bowls of tortilla soup. On the Beaver Creek expense scale they aren't that bad. The Starbucks up a level charges $2 more for a cup of hot chocolate then Coyote Cafe does and SB can't offer you Baileys. read more

Some of the most delicious tacos I've eaten. Grab the taco platter and some guac and you're golden! Happy hour is from 5-7, and you can have 10 tacos for $22. I recommend ordering a variety with carnitas (the best), shrimp, the vegetable...truly all of them. My only recommendation would be for them to work on some homemade tortilla chips, the salsa is awesome though!!! read more

This isn't a fancy restaurant, it's just a chill spot to grab some Tex-mex and relax after a long day of skiing. The service was spot on and friendly. The food came fast and was tasty. It's a fun environment with huge TVs playing the playoff game. The location is super easy. We visit it once every time we are in town and don't want to pay a million dollars to take the family to dinner. The kids always enjoy it too. read more
