The first thing that came to mind when we got here: This MUST be the meat market of Beaver Creek. It's not a sleezy place, but it did seem like it might be a local hook up spot. We used to visit this restaurant regularly before Covid and it was a good, casual spot for a bite to eat. We recently visited the restaurant again and we won't be coming back. The food was awful and while the service was friendly, our server added a 40% tip to our bill and we had to go back and change it. There are much better places to eat in BC, don't waste your time and money here. read more

Tex mex food. The fish tacos were served cold but still tasted ok. I didn't want to send them back because I was in a hurry to get back on the slopes. The enchiladas were also good. We went to the coyote cafe after a long hike and it was exactly what we needed! I had a green hornet margarita with cucumber and ciltantro which was incredibly refreshing! For dinner, we had the Chile rellenos and enchiladas and everything was excellent. Heather was an attentive and friendly server and we will definitely be back during the ski season! read more

Not worth the money at all! First of all prices are outrageous for some very crappy fake Mexican food. You don't even get chips and salsa for free, that's an additional purchase. We got the enchiladas and tacos. Enchiladas were so dry I had to cover them sauce just to be able to eat them. The beans tasted like beer, it made me gag. The rice was just plain white rice, not even Mexican rice. My boyfriend got the tacos, they came out cold and disgusting. The cheese wasn't even melted it was very big and thick cut American cheese. You know what they say about restaurants right off of ski slopes, this one was average. The chicken tortilla soup was basically veggie soup with a clear chicken broth, and strips of chicken added to it if you pay extra. Chips and salsa standard. Salsa was likely from a jar. Waitress was very nice and very attentive. Compared to the other restaurants we ate at in Beever Creek I will have to say this was the lowest on the list, but it still wasn't 'terrible'. read more

Wow, this place has really gone downhill since my last visit. The nachos used to be spectacular. I am not sure I would even call them nachos now. The wait person acted as if she hated her job. I was not alone as I overheard several other tables complaining about the service and food. My visit to the bathroom was a real treat too. The faucet did not work, the trash for disposable goods in the stall was ducted taped together and overall the bathroom needed a complete remodel/deep cleaning. Staying down im Avon and desided to check out Beaver Creek Plaza. Came across this wonderful taco place. Tacos and enchiladas are very flavorful. Nice atmosphere, outdoors seating available. Large Margarita selection lots to choose from. Large TV for sports. read more

Not bad but not great. I am always skeptical with Mexican food outside of TX. Caritas were good, even had a nice spice kick to it. Queso was ok, but seemed to be canned cheese. Wifes food was burned. Good salsa. Chips seemed to be bagged chips. Service was ok but slow. And really cold as the enclosed patio heater was not pumping out much heat. A bit pricey for mediocre food. read more

Food here is terrible. Very bad imitation of Mexican food. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which had ultra dry shredded chicken and a stale tortilla. We ordered a kale and avocado salad. It came with mixed greens and no kale or avocado. When we asked , we were told that they ran out of avocado and they didn't have any kale! Chips are cheap store bought. Salsa just ok. The only reason for 3 stars is the server. He was on the ball and checked on us constantly. Food was bland. We had 2 orders of beef fajitas and one combination fajitas for 5 of us and if we had been vegetarians it would have been fine. Small amount of actual meat and what we had was flavorless. Food is very mediocre.... Velveeta queso that was only mildly warm, tacos are tiny and really not enough food if you're hungry after a day of skiing. However drinks are pretty good so if you're really craving a margarita it would be a good place to stop. read more

My friend and I stopped in for a late lunch and drinks at 2pm on a Saturday. We asked to be seated outside. There was a 6 top, 5 top, and 4 top open outside and the restaurant inside was half empty as well. We were told they couldn't afford to give us one of the tables outside but instead sat us inside. Within a couple minutes of sitting down a group of 3 asked to sit outside and they were led to a table outside. We asked our waitress why we couldn't sit outside. She immediately said "idk yell at that guy" - pointing to the host and immediately walked away. We asked for a manager who was nothing but rude and claimed he "saw the whole thing go down". He must have superpowers if he was on the other side of the restaurant out of sight yet could hear our conversation with his staff. He claimed they are selling real estate here and cannot afford for 2 people to take up a table outside. I asked if that means they care about money over customer service. He claimed yes but they try and give good customer service while doing so. Then abruptly asked us if he could help us with anything else. We left and took our business elsewhere. Walking past the restaurant about 45 minutes later, 2 of those tables outside were still open and 1 or 2 others were empty as well. I have never come across such a rude, disrespectful, or unprofessional group in my dining experiences. They made it very clear we were not of any value to them. For Beaver Creek, the prices were great! They have Happy Hour specials on food and drinks. The quality of the food is not the greatest. The salads are better than the mex options. Great for happy hour after coming off of the slopes and for a quick, cheap bite. read more

such a great fun place winter and summer. Its a casual restaurant with good food, and solid service. It does get extremely busy, but I still find the service good. Have to say I LOVE the new menu - (they may have had it last winter, but I ski Vail and not the Beav, so we just experienced it this summer. The Ala carte Specialty Tacos, (think street tacos, but with awesome sauce and fresh ingredients). So glad the owner updated and simplified the menu. Love it! read more

My favorite place to eat and drink in Beaver Creek. The food is good, and reasonably priced (especially for being in the village). I love the nachos and burgers, and the Jeff's R&B is delicious. The apres scene is one of the best in the Village (if not #1). There are some good deals, and you can almost always find a place to sit, within a reasonable amount of time (except during World Cup... crazy busy, and fun). The staff is always friendly and fun, and service at the bar is solid. Though I usually only partake in apres, the breakfast is very good! If you want a good, fun bar in the village, the Coyote is the place to be. And if you're there late enough, the late night pizza is always a good choice. read more

On our last night on vacation we decided to go for a casual dinner here. The apricot blonde ale was delicious as was the chips and homemade guac and salsa. After a day of hiking and checking out vail we wanted to relax with a nice drink. Since we were staying in Beaver Creek the only place open was the Coyote Cafe. We went in and sat down but it was late so the kitchen was not open and they do not serve any type of snacks there. Not many people there at this time of night. Service was fine, however as we were sitting there with our drinks I saw a mouse run across the dining room eating all the crumbs from the entire day. The mouse ran all over the dining room for sometime. I told the barkeep about it so. It sure what the end result is but as you know where there is one mouse there are more. The Yote tries to masquerade as a restaurant, but let's not kid ourselves, it's a bar. As first a local kid with a fake and then an employee desperately needing alcohol when I get off (and my locker room is stumbling distance in the main garage, hooray!), the Yote is only good for drinking. Much tastier, cheaper apres food can be found down at Bob's. Occasionally we might order a plate of nachos with our mugs, but generally we hit to Yote right after work (you may find your child's instructor here getting pretty wasted, but I promise, we're still great instructors!) I also love some of the girls who work here, but the service can be non existent at times. From 3-4:30 you get a good crowd of drinkers, though it can get kind of crowded. After that you have families trying to come in from dinner and getting obnoxious with the people drinking (my fiance got physically assaulted by a very angry tourist when he was being loud). If you're looking for a family friendly meal in Beaver Creek, go to the Dusty Boot (though it's slightly pricier). The Rocks is a bit more upscale but a better dinner alternative and the Blue Moose, while overpriced and subpar for a pizza place, is also a much family friendlier place better for a meal in the Village. I'd just recommend not trying to come here for dinner, leave it for the grown ups to have a drink after a day on the hill, before moving on to cheaper bars down Valley. Mexican food wise, the Eagle Valley is very Hispanic and there's better, cheaper, authentic Mexican down in Edwards, Wolcott and Eagle. The Yote is kind of basic Tex-Mex. read more

As a concierge in Beaver Creek, I must say that I would never recommend this place. There are so many fabulous restaurants in the Vail Valley. Even a majority of the casual establishment tend to be outstanding. The market here is so competitive which allows many superb restaurants to form and develop. With that being said, I honestly do not know how this restaurant stays in business. The staff in ordinary and somewhat grumpy. The lighting is terrible and the food is mediocre. Coyote Cafe has been a great informal, cheap (for Beaver Creek) place to unwind and fill up after a hike. We've been going for years. This year we decided to go for lunch and I decided to sign up to Yelp just to help others avoid my mistake. They sell 'tacos' and the 'tacos' are around the same price as the other meals on the menu. They claim to have grilled shrimp and cheese or whatever, you know what to expect. Truth is these are medallion sized, pico de gallo stuffed, is there anything else we can remove to increase profit margin, tortillas with a couple tiny, sad, thawed salad shrimp thrown in. You also get a spoon full of slaw on the side, and I do mean a spoon full. To throw you off the ripoff scent they put the whole thing on a small crescent shaped plate. The menus are updated, which may be a sign of new ownership. Either way, you'd be much better taking the stairs down to the Golden Eagle for lunch. It'll cost about the same, the food will be miles better and the service is incredible. So long 'Yote...I'll miss you buddy! read more

Meh, the Coyote is pretty mediocre in my book. It's a nice and convenient place to grab a Fat Tire after a day on the slopes, but the food is kinda sucky (try the nachos...), they have no happy hour deals, it's always packed for apres and I once had my ski's jacked while stopping in. My advice, there are dozens of other better places to spend your cash at The Beav, where you don't have to worry about getting ripped off inside and out. read more

Coyote Cafe is the resident dive bar in Beaver Creek village. Their apres ski crowd is lively and their late night crowd is mostly local. We had a great time there and thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and food specials. If you want a classier experience, go to any of the other dozen places in the village. read more
