Great spot for a drink on a patio with a gorgeous view. I find the food to be your typical bar food, nothing to call home about. I chose chicken nachos this last visit with jalapeños on the side. The guy that brought it out tipped over the jalapeños when he set them down and several fell out. He said he'd been back with a new ones but brought back out the same container which only had 2 in it, one covered in sour cream from when they had fallen off the plate. Not sure why he did that but it was a bit of a turn off for the meal and I didn't eat much of the nachos. Service was slow despite it not being a busy day.

    Good food with Mountain view.

A classic in Vail. This was our go-to spot for an apres drink while we waited for the kids to finish ski school. Good food. Great drinks. Killer view.

I have a theory that every restaurant that has a cartoon moose as their logo has amazing food, and Garfinkle's is no exception! This is the perfect spot after a day of skiing - the drinks were amazing (I had a hot chocolate that was delicious) and the food was great as well. I got a grilled chicken sandwic that was huge and tasty, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend, and going here is a new tradition any time I'm in Vail.

I'm posting this review a few weeks late. The restaurant is located right at the base of a ski run. So, the ideal location at winter time for hungry skiers and snowboarders coming down the slopes. Everything on the menu looked great, prices were reasonable (for Vail/Avon, CO), and the portions were generous. Nachos and burgers are amazing! Burgers were cooked to perfection (medium rare we ordered). Now the details... Wow! This place was absolutely fantastic! In my experience, it is very rare to walk out of a restaurant and be in awe over the service (Cassie) and their food. Not to mention, to continue to talk about the dining experience there. Yes, of course it is 'bar food' or 'pub food' but in that category, this place gets FIVE STARS! What made the experience over and beyond great was the waitress -- Cassie (Casanave). Super friendly, very accommodating, fast and efficient! Cassie raised my bar on what good restaurant service should be! Next time we visit this restaurant, we are going to seek her out and sit in her section. I must say that I also noticed a camaraderie amongst the staff here. Everyone looked happy and they all seemed to treat each other like family. That says a lot about the good management here! I highly recommend this restaurant!

10/10 every time. Best vibes and are server Kaeden was the greatest. The food hit the spot after a long day on the mountain and the outdoor patio area is great, especially with the live music/dj going. Can't wait to come back to vail and hang out here

The perfect place after skiing or sightseeing lionshead / vail village . Amazing view of the ski slopes and gondolas while catching a game ( with sound ) and having a drink and a bite ! Our waitress was super friendly and great service.

Ok, not great. We came here for a late lunch after walking about Vail. The service was so so (our waitress was MIA every time we looked for her). The food was along the lines of an IHOP or similar restaurant. Prices weren't awful, but probably would skip next time.

This place has been around forever, and after trying the delicious brisket sandwich I can see why! It stands out as one of the most reasonably priced restaurant options in vail too. The ambience and service weren't anything special, but i'd come back and reorder the brisket!

Omg, the Nashville chicken sandwich was really good! The atmosphere was great and there was a nice mountain scenery in the background.

**15/10; iconic, must be protected at all costs**…read more My girlfriend and I are in Vail for the weekend to watch dogs jump into water, as one does. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt, which has been... fine. Meh, if we're being honest. A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent. As a former service industry worker myself, real recognize real. This place and these people are it. Mountain Standard is iconic and must be protected at all costs.

They were able to get us in with a 30 minute wait. We got lucky and sat at the bar while we waited. I had a margarita while I waited and on an empty stomach it hit quick. We ate the Pimento cheese that was delicious and split a biscuit. Pimento cheese was delicious. For the main meal we had the Oxtail ravioli and the Pork Shank. The Oxtail was delicious but didn't look appetizing. The pork shank was delicious Little pricy but overall a nice experience.

We stopped in at the Red Lion after skiing…read more It was crowded and we were looking for an outside table for six people. Only four of us were there as the other two were across the street at Christy's returning their rental skis. There was a table of 6 but the hostess said she couldn't sit us until the other two arrived. Right then, a guy walks up and asks for that same table. He was by himself and she gave the table with six chairs to him. His full party was clearly not there but she sat him anyway. Why is that allowed? Clearly favoritism. And to be clear, two of his friends showed up and the other three never arrived. So, at that point we told the hostess we were now a table of four and she said we could sit at a table that had 3 chairs. Well okay....we took it. We grabbed the table and asked other tables around us for the extra 3 chairs and everyone was nice enough to give us the extra chairs. Our server, Suzanne was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and immediately brought us our drinks and food. The nachos were tasty. Drinks were good but pricy. I give Suzanne 5 stars, food 3 stars hostess 0 stars. Treat everyone fairly and respectfully. The hostess could use customer service training.

We were staying down the street from The Four Seasons and wanted to pop in for a drink after dinner…read moreat the Remedy Bar. We walked in and it appeared to be a quiet night, we could see the bar was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we were staying at the hotel and we said no, we were dropping by for cocktails and wished to sit outside. She told us we could sit inside at a couch area by the entrance. One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. If you can sit outside at a fire pit I would recommend doing so.

Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting. Overall, Remedy Bar delivers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and a cozy mountain-luxury experience. I would absolutely recommend stopping in if you're visiting Vail.
