Mueller is further away, but I have all day to shop, and plan, and get my groceries for the week. Something about this location that just has an energy about it. I feel so much better walking around. The people, the venders, and the dogs. My gosh there are so many dogs. I'm a dog person, and they know it. I have dogs walking up to me. And of course I have to talk to them. Venders are great, you have such a variety of prepared food. Love the dumplings. But there is so much more. Veggies. Fruits, canned goods, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, pasta, raw milk. I mean it's just a lot of greatness. Love supporting famers and small businesses. Coming out in the community, and just feeling a connection. Literally recharges me. It's been a draining week, and the market was my therapy today.

Farmers markets are supposed to be welcoming, family-friendly spaces where local vendors, farmers, nonprofits, faith groups, and community members can come together safely and respectfully. Unfortunately, I witnessed something that made the environment feel anything but welcoming. There was a small religious group with a table at the market, and as someone passed by, they shouted offensive racial and religious slurs at the men working the table. It was completely uncalled for. Rather than engaging in any kind of respectful conversation, this person chose to be hateful and intimidating in a public community space. I understand that the organizers may not be able to identify or remove every person who behaves this way, but I do think the market should be more proactive about making its expectations clear. A farmers market should feel safe for everyone, including vendors and community organizations that may be more likely to face harassment. Clear signage, public reminders, or stronger policies against hate speech and intolerance would go a long way. I hope the organizers take this seriously and make it clear that racism, religious intolerance, and harassment are not acceptable at this market. The community deserves a space that truly feels supportive, inclusive, and safe for all.

There's a nice playground a couple of great food options. I went with the Chinese food today and had this amazing Chinese pancake feel like it was served to me by a father and son duo very nice service and it was really good! I came here looking for something good for lunch that was different and that's exactly what I found . I also bought some gluten-free bread and cauliflower tortillas. I can't wait to try them! And a lemon bar for later!

Inside you'll find about 20 vendors, with a variety of many different offerings from jerky, jewelry, honey, breads, woodworking, and meats to name a few. We use organic methods, with no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides in our gardens, orchard, and pastures. Our vegetables are principally heirloom varieties and we never plant GMO seeds or crops at the farm. Our cattle are a cross between heritage Devons and the famous South Poll breed known for excellence on grass pastures with no need for grain or supplements. With rotational grazing, the cattle stay healthy and well fed, while the pastures get regular periods of rest and regrowth. The cattle are never fed any grain, hormones, or antibiotics. The calves are born on our farm and live here their whole life. Cattle are processed at nearby state-inspected meat markets, ensuring the health and integrity of all the meat we sell. This relatively small farmer's market allows for a leisurely stroll by the vendors. Round Rock Farmer's market features jewelry, clothing, and of course, fruits and vegetables. We sampled one dessert and meat. One vendor was giving away cute little cloth hearts with thoughtful inscriptions...super kind and generous. The Austin Wildflower Honey vendor was super knowledgeable about local honey production and the benefits of honey. I ended up buying some of the honey. Since it was July 4th, the amount of foot traffic was lite. It allowed us concentrated time with the vendors to ask questions and experience their wares.

Speaking of eggs, ample egg vendors. Found 3 at different price points ($6, $7, $9). Unfortunately, the $6 eggs were some of the worst I've ever purchased at a farmer's market (flavorless, barely yellow yolk). Other than that, they had bread, some produce, beef jerky, sweet treats, and some other miscellaneous vendors. Oh and Tong's Dumpling Bar is a star attraction. It's in a large strip mall so parking is easy. That mall also features one of my personal favorites -- JuiceLand -- so it's an excuse to grab a smoothie!
