The Coyote Creek staff were and are so friendly and helpful! They had me feeling confident and familiar with my firearm, especially after a private lesson from John Russell, in just a matter of days. It's a low pressure environment with tons of amazing and fun courses available to help hone your firearm skills in a plethora of settings. You'll also get to meet their lovely dogs! Dont bring your CWD testing samples here. I dropped mine off over 3 weeks ago and when I called to see if they sent them in, I was informed they are holding them until after the gun season! I said I am waiting to process my deer until I get the results and reply was "huh". It is free to send them in for testing so why hold them? Why are gun hunters more important than the archery hunters? So if I shot a deer opener archery, they are going to sit on it for 2 months? Never agin will do any business here. read more

Came here to ask about muzzle brakes, there were four guys behind the counter on their phones or on the computer. No one looked up to acknowledge me so I waited around while they chatted with each other and I finally went up and asked if I could get some help. Staff in the firearms section are a bunch of jack ass gun bros......who are so damn arrogant and bothered by customers they don't know. Gunsmith on the other hand are amazing guys and help me zero my new rifle withouth problem. Hire new staff in your firearms area these guys are lame... read more

This is a VERY clean, friendly and organized store and set of ranges. They have a wide variety of firearms, bows and accessories for everyone from a casual shooter to the top trophy hunter. They have wonderful gun and archery ranges. If you don't have your own gun, they have good quality and some exciting stuff to rent. They offer free classes for youth (I myself game down from savage MN for my 17 year old daughter to take and test for a firearms training so that she can join the trap shooting team at school. Again, this was FREE!!! While here, us parents were offered FREE range passes (a 20.00 value) and it is a glock demo day so you can use a number of different pistols for 2.00 each. So you can literally shoot (with free included eye protection and eat protection) 10 different guns total of 20.00! This is a professional company that takes safety, education, your rights and their jobs seriously and present it to the public in the friendliest, most generous ways imaginable. I have my new favorite range and shop - even though it is 1.5 hours from my home this will be my new go to shop. read more

Great customer service and had bullets I have been searching for all over the US. I shoot a pre 1964 Winchester in a 264 magnum. I inherited the gun from my dad and I intend to use it and pass it to my grandson someday. Coyote Creek was the only place I located that had quantities of the ammunition for this rifle. On multiple occasions I have given this store a chance but it seems 75% of the time I end up with rude staff. Today was the last straw. I wanted to purchase a handgun 2 weeks ago and they didn't have it in stock so they said they would order one in for me. I called a week later and was told that they would call when it arrived. Today I just happened to be on that side of town and stopped in to see if it had shown up. The first guy I spoke with was seemed upset that I came in and was politely waiting for him to finish what he was doing, and rudely asked if he could help me, no big deal I told him and he said he would get right back to me when he was done. So I patiently waited. Another staffer asked if I could be helped and I told him that a handgun had been ordered for me two weeks back and I hadn't received a call yet that it had arrived. At this point I was rudely told that no one ordered a handgun for me but that they had received the exact same model I was wanting today. When I said that is what I am wanting he made the comment "We didn't order it for you but I can sell it to you" and then proceeded to get the handgun. It seems that some of the staff can't be bothered to work there that they are employed to do. On a previous occasion I was attempting to tell a staff member that a handgun I had rented was malfunctioning only to be rudely told that they will not refund the rental fee, which was never brought up in the discussion I was just attempting to inform them the weapon needed to be looked at. Yet another occasion, my significant other was struck in the arm by a shotgun barrel that an employee was handling and the staff member never bothered to apologize to her about either the fact that she was hit by him or the fact that their staff broke one of the main rules of safe firearm handling. At this point I am done with the company when it comes to firearms. I would rather drive to Owatonna and give my money to a chain over helping this poor excuse for a small town shop. read more

I used the indoor shooting range & was impressed with setup & their staff. Keep in mind that I had a free 30 min pass from my brother- in law & this is my 1st time using an indoor range which I don't frequent until deer hunting season. The pricing seems a bit on the high side, but the convenience made up for it for me. Looking around the store it tempted me to get a yearly pass to work on target practice, but it's likely that i'll be a regular just before the opener each year. read more

I just wanted to point out that Google Maps shows the wrong location for the business. Currently, the directions show that Coyote Creek is off of Commercial Drive Sw. In fact, it is on the opposite side of 63 and off of Woodlake Dr instead. The business address is correctly listed as 3600 South Broadway (I checked their website), so I'm not sure why the error has occurred. Just keep this in mind if you use Yelp's "Get Directions" feature. Inside is clean, well lit, and open. Merchandise is very easy to find. They only have a bow range. I was told by an employee that they are planning on installing the gun range later. Dropped off a 12 gauge shotgun to have the stock replaced on the 13th. I was given an estimate 24 hours later. The gun was ready for pick-up on the 1st of April. Price was about $85 with tax. I've never had a gun repaired before, so I couldn't comment on price or length of time. Seemed reasonable to me. I'm very happy with the repairs. Professional business, but not overly friendly. I'm a new owner and had a number of questions that I was interested in asking. They answered any questions that I had, but didn't really offer anything more in terms of suggestions. For example, I asked were the gun cleaning kits were and was pointed to the middle of the store. The attendant then walked to the back without another word. With five people working, at 8:15am, and no other customers, I assumed the store would have provided more customer service. I would have probably shopped longer and spent more money if they had done so. read more

This place is amazing! My wife and I both purchased Bowtech Fuel bows yesterday 2/8/15 from Caleb. He was awesome. He was able to answer all my questions - and educate us about our purchase. You could tell he was speaking from experience and not just 'reading from the brochure'. As long as I live in my Rochester, I won't buy from anywhere else. The day before, we stopped at both Dicks Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain and were underwhelmed. My experience at Coyote Creek was far superior. read more

I can't say enough about their bow tech Joe. He set up at least 4 different bows for me to shoot, so I could make my decision. I was going to head to a different shop to try one more brand of bow before I made my decision, but after everything he did for me I gave my business to Coyote Creek. hubby and i really enjoy coyote creek! we took our conceal and carry class from amazing colin. the class was excellent. to say i was terrified of holding a gun would be an understatement. however, colin stepped me through the shooting test baby step-by-baby step...and i passed we've gone back to pick up a gun and for range shooting, and we can't say enough about the staff! ryan gave us a top-notch shooting experience. he helped me understand what my shot was going where it was going. he even helped us take the gun apart, oil it, and put it back together. he shared his knowledge and experience with us...ensuring our confidence. we're heading back today for another fun adventure! read more

Today was my first time at Coyote Creek, and it will not be the last. If you ever had that unsure feeling when you leave a store, you will not be unsure when you leave Coyote Creek. I brought my bow in because it felt spongy and I noticed I had to keep adjusting my sights. Robbie took the bow and paper tested it right away. He saw a clear drop of arrow. He then checked my rest to loop. That was off, along with my cams. Robbie, answered all my questions, got my bow back where I am 100% satisfied. By the way I traveled an hour to get here. Clint does a great job. I inherited a rifle and he did a amazing job fixing it up. Very helpful staff not pushy or anything. They have me great advice on purchasing archery equipment that I hope one day to get into. They have plenty of accessories and parts also for guns or bows. First time visiting an archery and gun range after seeing the ad for shoot for cure fundraiser. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly even when we had no idea what we were supposed to do. Overall had lots of fun doing bowtrap shooting, tomahawk throwing, trap shooting with laser shotgun and other activities. But you do need your own bow to head out to the range. read more
