Recently I was in a position to sell my home of 33+ years. A close friend referred me to Jen as they had worked with Jen to sell their home as well. I was not ready to sell the house at the time, but Jen came by and we discussed what I may or may not want to do to the house, provide comp data, etc. I decided to perform updates to the house and told Jen I would let her know when I was ready to move forward. Set up apt with Jen to look into selling my house back in summer of 2018, prior to owning her own company. she didn't show up or cancel so when I texted her she texted me back saying she got into a car accident. Thought she might have been lying, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and she rescheduled. Then she doesn't show up again, and texts me that her grandmother was in critical care. After talking with her manager found out it was all lies. Her manager was embarrassed and said it wasn't the first time she's lied. How juvenile! I met Jen while she was showing my cousin and her husband houses and I ended up living with my cousin for a while and love the house they bought. Jen, gave me her card and said when it's your time, give me a call. I remembered how she was patient and honest with her opinions about the houses we visited with my cousin. So, I made sure I kept her in mind. Last year, my sister in law bought a townhouse and Jen was the one who helped her as well. We love her townhouse too. This year was our turn and she was the first one who came to mind. We gave her a call late last year so we have been looking for a house for a while. We would email, text and call each other but Jen made herself available all the time. We gave her a list of our wants and needs and she made sure we saw houses that fit our list. When we sent her homes that we are interested in seeing, she made sure we saw it. Again, she gave her recommendations and helped us a lot during the tours pointing out what looks ok and what looks like we will have a problem in the near future. I had a different realtor prior to getting Jen Coyte. For 4 months, the first realtor (a well-known Elmhurst realtor at a well-known Elmhurst firm) put little effort into selling my home. I took my home off the market. A few months later, I decided to try again with a different realtor. Jen Coyte was the complete opposite of the first realtor. She put her all into selling my house. Before the house went on the market, she was busy making phone calls and contacting real estate colleagues. Only a few hours after the house went on the market, Jen called me to tell me that some people wanted to see the house that same day. Then, that evening, Jen called me to tell me that the people who saw the house made an offer. Yes, all on the same day!!! Between the time that the offer was made and the closing, Jen was so helpful with everything that needed to happen. There was some weirdness with the appraisal but she got it all straightened out.
