I honestly don't know where to begin - and if you look at my other reviews you'll see "finding words" isn't usually a problem for me. I worked with Marco on the sale of my condo and couldn't be happier. I had met with several agents before finding Lucid and while I liked all of them, Lucid's commission structure interested me greatly. Marco and Gary came to see my condo and I shared with them where I wanted to be price wise. I thought my expectations were in check, however, they firmly believed that my property was worth a large 10+% more than I thought it was worth and significantly more than the other agents "swore" I could get for it. In fact, when I mentioned my ideal price to another agent (which was much less than what Marco wanted to list it for) the agent suggested I hold on to it for another "couple" years so that it would appreciate. When Marco told me what he wanted to list the property at, I was a little concerned (because it was SO HIGH) and a part of me began to question whether or not this was the "catch" on the "hourly model" with Lucid - that they price high so they can bill bill bill. This, absolutely, is not the case. Marco was right on with his pricing analysis! The property received several offers within the first four days of listing and closed within 40 days after we listed. The process was so seamless and Marco was so hands on I, honestly, felt like I was his only client for that month. During the negotiation phase with the buyers agent, I REALLY wanted to accept their first offer (it was tens of thousands more than I was willing to accept) but Marco calmed my fears and coached me through being aggressive. I was afraid, again, that his desire to stand firm was because there was no "harm" to Lucid if it didn't sell (since I was paying hourly) but - like the listing price analysis - Marco was spot on with his advice to me during the negotiation phase. I can't recommend Lucid, Gary and Marco enough! I have referred my friends to them and I will shout from the rooftops to anyone that is willing to listen to me - this brokerage is amazing!!! You will get white glove service and expert advice. Mind you, I saved over 48% in commission fees and got BETTER service and TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars more than other agents told me was possible. I couldn't be happier and Lucid Realty has acquired a client for life. If you want to save money, receive better service, get a higher price, and truly be "wow'd" look no further. I am a firm believer in that if it "seems too good to be true" there is likely a catch. I assure you, however, there is no catch! Thanks, again, Marco! read more

After our parents passed, my brother and I kept the home/house we grew up in as a rental. When it came time to sell it, our vision was clouded by history and preferences of retired guys. For us it was a home & not a building. Marco helped us choose a decorating scheme that attracted contemporary buyers and suggested a way to stage the living room that we couldn't have dreamed of. After the prep, he had 2 offers after 7 showings. One of them was full price and "as is". Marco helped with negotiations after the village's pre-sale inspection came back with requirements that would be found in new construction and were not common when the home was built in 1950. Finding a realtor can be a huge pain in the butt. Finding a good one, now that's like mining for a rare mineral on the moon. And most times you never know how they will perform until after you get in the thick of it. I have to say, Gary is one heck of an informed realtor. He really knows his stuff. He is always thoroughly prepared, well-researched, always ready with important information and he gives the straight dope. He doesn't mess around. He's not the type that will shuffle you around, push you around, nickel and dime you, won't try to price you for a quick turn-over to get rid of you like most do. He really listens and always takes the time necessary. One of the most honest and up-front realtors I have ever worked with, and having sold 4 properties in Chicago over the years, I've dealt with a lot of realtors. We had a very difficult property to sell; it was a neighborhood anomaly, there weren't comps, and it required a very specific type of buyer in a nearly nonexistent niche. They did it though, they got it sold. When we interviewed Gary, we were very impressed. We didn't know, though, that we'd be working with someone else until after we signed. Randy, our agent, worked very hard, was responsive and we all worked well together. The only time I had a small problem with Randy, we discussed it professionally and it was resolved. We can't thank Eddie Nusinow enough for everything he did for us! We were shopping for a home in the Western Suburbs (Elmhurst, specifically) for our transfar back to Chicagoland from San Francisco. We had a weekend to see houses + two days for an offer and negotiation. Over the course of 17 houses, Eddie's perseverance and patience never waivered. With our 18 month old in tow he shared with us, upon meeting for the first time, that he knows what the transfer process is like from personal experience and has, himself, shopped for new homes in unfamiliar cities with newborns, then toddlers, then busy kids along for the ride. When my husband and I decided to move our family from Chicago to Elmhurst, we enlisted the help of Sari Levy. Although she came very highly recommended, she still exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did she know the real estate market in the area, she was also extremely well-informed about the parks, schools, and library - all of which were very important to us since we have two small children. In addition to being impressed with her vast knowledge, I was also pleasantly surprised with how responsive she was to all of our questions, concerns, and showing requests (we looked at 100+ properties before finding our current home). Denise is the best agent you could ever ask for! I completely 100% trust her expertise. I have bought and sold 4 places through her, so 7 closings total. I have known Denise for 15 years and NEVER wanted to use another agent. She is so honest and up front with you, which I LOVE. She will look out for your best interest...that's her top priority above all else! She is always right on about what your selling price should be to sell fast, and what the place you want to buy is worth to ensure you get it. When you want to sell your place, she will tell you exactly how to stage your place to sell fast. She will get right in there and even help move stuff around or clean if need be. WOW. Sari was an all star realtor. I was a first time home buyer with extensive questions, specific needs, and under a strict time crunch. Sari was there for me even when the realtors usually took a "back seat" (attorney negotiations etc.). She was answered my questions at any time of the day whether it was 10pm or 7 am- What realtor is answering their phone at 10:00 pm? Sari is! Whether my questions were financing (which she never said "go talk to your mortgage broker"- she would say "hm, I'm not sure let me contact your mortgage broker and see what they say for your case"), neighborhood , resale , how to get my taxes lowered, mold, inspection, negotiating, paint colors, even down to what kind of dog food she uses, Sari was ALWAYS there with an honest answer.
