I brought my kids frequently when they were younger and now we go together as adults. Highly recommend!

We went as a birthday party of 4 and had made reservations ahead of time. There are signs in the…read morewindow and throughout the store stating they do special events such as birthdays, bachelorette parties etc. However, when we arrived you couldn't tell our table from anyone else's. Nothing was set up special for our party. This left me wondering what exactly do they do for parties? The selection of items was lacking. Many items were down to their last one. The paint selection was vast and plentiful. The brushes in the tables only included one brush of each size. If you wanted to do small, detailed work and someone else had the small brush you were out of luck. The bathroom didn't have a light and you had to use a flashlight in order to see where you were going. You could still see how filthy it was though. Cobwebs and dirt filled the corners. I didn't want to touch anything. In fact, the whole place was filthy. No one wore masks except our party. *Covid protocols were not enforced at all.* Restaurants have stricter mask wearing policies then they do! They started cleaning up 30 minutes before closing and the lady working had a loud conversation with another person about how she would "be in trouble if she was even 5 minutes late" so that we would be able to hear her. She and another person kept coming to our table asking if we were done with our paints yet. We felt rushed and disrespected. The passive aggressive attitude wasn't necessary. We drove over two hours to come to this little business that doesn't take credit cards and treats people poorly. Edit: January 12, 2021 -We are definitely getting the run around. Finally was able to get through and was told to call back. Called back and was told "I don't know anything about that call back." Called back and was told must call back. Looks like they are keeping our pieces out of spite over review. Three stars now down to one. Edit: February 7, 2021- Spoke with Kim, the owner. We should be getting our pieces soon. They are going to the post office tomorrow. She had been unaware of Stacey's treatment of us and has apologized profusely. I believe her to be sincere and very genuine.

His friends had no idea what was going on so that is the extent of his 'disruption' so little that you had to be withing a foot of him. All he needed was a few minutes to Transition, no one event noticed what was going on and Yet this establishment asked him to leave. For them it was no big deal to remove a child who wasn't even doing anything big, rather than be inclusive and understanding. So if you have a child who has any sort of disability, or that may be needing a few minutes to reset, This IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THEM. They will ASK your kid to leave INFROUNT of your kid, who will hear and UNDERSTAND, that they were NOT welcomed in this establishment. Do BETTER!

When my son with disabilities arrived, he was slightly loud and complaining about how uncomfortable the chairs were while I was trying to help him. The manager approached us and told him that he needed to leave. He was unable to attend his friends party, with all of the friends, and left crying, saying, "I'm such a bad boy". This place is not accommodating, discriminatory, and non-inclusive to individuals with disabilities or even for just children having a moment. We will never go back there and have never been so insulted.

It is nice and glossy and it effectively removed that creepy unfinished clay like chalkboard feeling. They said it is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe so excited to get it in rotation! They have a pretty quick turnaround time (3-5 days) and are very generous with their hold times. I embarrassingly will admit it took me a few months to get back to pick them up, and thankfully they still had them waiting in the back. Also, the garage DOES go through to the back of the building where The Painting Place is - so the directions are correct. It was much easier to get there this time when I realized it was a pull-through garage under the building lol.... I will definitely keep The Painting Place on my list for pottery crafts in the future!!

They ensured you had all the information before you started and were ready at any point for any questions you had. The setup of the studio was also organized and allowed you to have creative freedom. Another unique aspect that the painting place had was that their color tiles (examples for how the paint would look after firing) also included swatches before the kiln, and how it would look based on the amount of coats you made. They also had an assortment of examples for different applications on your pottery such as masking tape, masking tape stickers, freckled paints, and even glazes you would see on professional pottery. Examples of what you could make and the colors you could choose were all over the studio for easy reference. I had a lovely time and would certainly come back.

The woman that assisted us was super thorough and helpful. She gave us tips and recommendations and explained everything perfectly, she even saved my daughter's piece when she "ruined" it (she needs a promotion lol). We tried the clay painting & there was a wide variety of ready made pottery pieces to choose from. I chose a mermaid mug, my daughter chose a cute character mug and my son chose a cute trophy vase/mug? There were tons of paint colors to choose from as well as all the painting accessories (brushes, stencils, sponges, etc). We were reminded that we can't take the pieces home right away since they'll have to go in the kiln but they'll call/text in 7-10 days for pickup. The studio was very clean, organized and spacious. It was also very affordable, they charge $5 per person for the first hour and then $2.50 each additional hour per person and you just buy the ceramic pieces that range from $20 and up. Highly recommend for a fun time with family and friends.
