CPC High point was a horrible place to go to school. The teachers did not care about the students. I will say it again don't go there if you are looking for a nice, bully-free education. The teachers gossip about the students. I have been there. The teachers have nothing productive to do but bully the students. This is the nice "sugar-coated" version of my old review, too. I was referred by Centre State hospital to CPC Freehold, was given a 7 week wait for a intake. On the 23rd of March I was contacted 10 minutes before my appointment to a 15 minute delay then I was told a 3 hour delay and I could wait, no offer to reschedule just wait 3 hours. Here's the kicker I get a letter from this person who was supposed to do my intake A Jennifer. P. This letter has the nerve to say I missed my appointment. Not only an insult but triggered me in many ways. I'm currently reporting this person an facility with legal representation for mentally ill clients an H.Q. for CPC an state insurances that investigate places like CPC. All documented an recorded. Excellent care and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me and my family get the services we need.

If you need help, try and get an appointment. Go a few times, but if you don't feel listened to, get out fast and try to find somewhere else. I've spent nearly two years going here. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you have endless energy to advocate for yourself or have someone to advocate on your behalf, then something good might come of your time here. From the beginning, it was difficult to get someone to call me back to make an appointment. There's a very fragmented phone system in place, which makes sense for such a large system. But that does mean that for most calls you make here, you're not going to talk to a human. For example, for any issues you have with medications - be it a prescription not making it over to your pharmacy or prior authorizations- you will be transferred to a voicemail that is checked. But you won't know how often it's checked! Or if your message was heard! Or what the fuck is happening! Which is... less than ideal to go through if you have anxiety like me Anyway, I was personally scuttled between psychiatrists. (One was fired! The next didn't accept my insurance even though the clinic itself does! The third couldn't make sense of the notes from the first two but then wouldn't listen to me!) I'm told this isn't the average experience. But I wouldn't know. I'm only one person, and my experience is my experience. So listen, if you're suffering, really, truly try to get help. You deserve it, even if you feel like you don't. Try this place in good faith, but if you feel like the energy you're putting up to get better is not being matched (and I know how much energy it takes just to try to get help) then go somewhere else. Remember that this is mental health. They don't know about your symptoms unless you tell them about your symptoms. These are professional people who should be able to deal. But if you're treated as anything less than the number one expert in the world on what you're going through, then they are not listening. read more

I have been with CPC for a while and during this time I have had about a dozen doctors. My appointments are every 3 months and every 3 months there is a new doctor. I have complained to the doctors and they say that they plan to be there for a long time and not to worry but in 3 mos they are gone. I have been pleased with the doctors except for the first one I saw. The doctor said hello and what medication would you like. I said I have no idea. I was shocked! All the others seemed very competent but of course no help since they are new to my file. This makes me question what is CPC doing to their doctors? Do they treat them badly? Why do they all leave so quickly? As for me I will now medicate myself with medication from Mexico. I'm done spending $150 a visit for nothing. read more

I had a very good experience yesterday. My brother who has been receiving treatment here had a relapse and I encouraged him to call and try and get an appointment. They squeezed him same day and I went with him. I was able to sit in on the meeting. When I woke up yesterday to go see him I was feeling stressed and concerned. We left there with a game plan, one I and my brother felt comfortable with. Not sure it is all going to work out as we hope but it is a start. We walked out of the appointment with applications for disability and Medicaid already done on my brothers behalf along with other items being set into motion. read more

They just don't have good therapists. Pat Smith forces you to bring your boyfriend to a session even though you don't feel comfortable. She even said, "I can't continue with you if you don't bring him." The other therapist, Caitlin Kane, makes faces when something sounds different to her and just shows you a bunch of YouTube videos. They do not help with anxiety. They make it worse read more
