I made an appointment ahead of time to drop off my Galaxy S8, with a cracked screen, and they said it might take a "couple of hours." I said okay, I said I could be reached via email since my phone was with them. I returned three and a half hours later, and apparently nothing was done to my phone. They told me the phone had moisture damage, which might be true, since it's an old phone, and they had to 'test' it. But I was pretty annoyed. Keep in mind that this phone worked just fine. They told me to come back in an hour and a half. I live 15 miles away, so yeah....a bit inconvenient. They sent me an email saying my device was ready, so I drove all the way back. They then said that the phone was not worth repairing, so they did absolutely nothing with it. They did refund my money, however. But I thought it was a huge waste of my time. They seem honest enough, but disabuse yourself of any notion that this is a "while-you-wait" kind of place. Not sure if I would use them again, hope I never have to. read more

I brought my Toshiba Satellite Computer after Geek Squad would not touch my computer, because they believed it was a hard drive problem. Although I pay for Geek Squad coverage and was disappointed, I understood since Toshiba no longer makes computers why they probably didn't want to deal with it. My computer simply stopped working and would not turn on. I brought my computer in late am on a Wednesday. Received a call late pm that same Wednesday informing me it was ready for pick up. It has been a few days now and everything is working fine. Daniel and Greg were very professional and even apologetic that it would cost $75.00. Considering the computer cost, the age, and that Best Buy wouldn't even touch it, I thought it was very reasonable. Would highly recommend CPR in Wappingers Falls. read more

I'm surprised to see some of the negative comments (although they seem to be older ratings). I brought my GS5 in because 2 Verizon stores and a Sprint store all told me it couldn't be repaired (they barely looked at it) but would gladly sell me a new phone. The guy at the counter explained that he could try a repair and if it didn't work we could move on to data recovery (both quoted prices seemed reasonable). After I explained what was going on he looked at for himself, grabbed a new battery (even though I had a full charge), and to my surprise the phone worked. Then he told me where I could purchase a less expensive battery than he had available. That's simply a guy being honest and helpful. Couldn't ask for anything else. If I do need a repair in the future I know where I'm going. read more

The Apple Stores all had wait times of around a week for an appt with the Genius Bar to have my iPhone 6 screen replaced. Most of the independent stores that claim to do screen replacements told me that they actually mail the phones back to Apple for replacement. CPR said they could do it in an hour, so I drove down to Wappingers from Rhinebeck, dropped my phone, took the kids for lunch and they had it waiting for me when I got back, less than an hour. The work was great, the price was competitive. It's about time somebody loosened the stranglehold Apple has had on service. Great company, and SUPER friendly and helpful. read more

Horrible customer service and there claim about a warranty is bogus. They changed my screen damaged my LCD and now they want to change me extra to fix this. They are over priced and lie about their products and warranty. Go somewhere else to get your phone repaired. read more

Worst experience with a small business ever! I brought my HTC One M8 there for a screen replacement based on a friend's recommendation. The only reason I didn't do it myself is because I knew this phone was particularly difficult, best left to the pros. They assured me they could handle it, but it required more time hence the $200 price. Bottom line-the phone was out of commission for almost 2 months because they broke other things in the process. I finally pulled the plug and now have had to buy another phone. They said they would fix it, but felt I should be ok with them taking as long as they needed. It was returned to me with a non-functional ear speaker. The very short version: On the day I was supposed to pick it up they let me know they broke something and needed to order parts. They gave me a "loaner" that turned out to not work. I borrowed a phone from a friend and activated that in the meantime. About 10 days later they gave it to me stating it was fixed and all fine. The screen replacement was poorly done, it was no longer flush with the surrounding trim, but a very noticeable lip now existed, and not even. The GPS, microphone, and ear speaker no longer worked. That's when it went back to them again. I had to chase them for information every time. You would think in this situation they would give periodic updates. We filed a complaint with CPR's headquarters, but they were useless as well. I will try to post this review on their site, but as other's have stated it most likely won't show up there as they only post the most positive one's. Beware! Look at their reviews from their other stores as well. I'm guessing the "techs" are of questionable skill. Update, they posted my review on their site, but turned it into 5 stars, they'll probably pull it soon. The 5 star must be automated-shady! Update 2-yep, they pulled it. I did take a screenshot with it still there-that's good business! Response to below comment-Neither the microphone or the ear speaker function. The GPS now does. I thought almost 2 months without my phone was enough. In no way, shape, or form did you discuss difficulty of obtaining parts. More importantly you didn't suggest that it was likely you would break multiple things in the process of your attempt to replace the screen. Even if I still left it with you and you somehow got everything functioning at some mystery future date, the install of the screen was a very poor, ill fitting job at best. read more

Very over priced, they will do ANYTHING to not honor the warrantee their website boasts about and have no problem charging you as many times as you'll pay them. Now that they re-repaired my phone, my thumb print sensor doesn't work. After getting screwed by them twice, I know they won't stand by their work. Not even going to waste more time or more money on them. There's another place literally a mile down the road. How much worse could they be............ After having a phone that was repaired here for some time now I should update my review. They DO NOT use OEM parts like they claim. They are no different than the cheap parts you find on eBay for less than $10. Buyer beware, avoid this place at all cost, or it will cost you. read more

I took my laptop here to have the screen replaced. I was told the repair would cost 175-195.00 to replace the screen with parts and labor. A few minutes later the gentleman comes out from the back and asks if I want a faster refresh rate screen. I asked how much and he said around 20 dollars more. He said he would do the research to see if the computer supported a better screen. The repair was done fast, three days max. When I went to pick up my laptop the bill was 245.00 plus tax. When I asked why so much more he lied and said that what he told me. Record the conversation folks as this man has issues with the truth. Well to make matters worse the more expensive screen is the same as the old one refresh rate. I have tried everything I know of to get it to change speed but I am capped at 60hz. So he put the cheap screen in and charged me for the more expensive one near as I can figure. He may not know what he is doing as he told me that 8gig of ram was not enough and I know that's a bold faced lie. All in all folks stay away from this CPR compter repair in Wappingers as he is a crook to say the least. I hope this saves someone from my fate in the future. read more

Do NOT take your phone in for repair at this shop. You'll give them a working phone that needs slight repair, they'll happily charge you, but then give you back a phone in worse condition, yet do nothing to help rectify THEIR error. You read correctly: they take NO responsibility for handing back to you a phone that is in an even worse condition than how you brought it in, and all due to THEIR mistake. We took our phone to have it's rear camera lenses replaced, as the images were smudgy due to the lens cover having been cracked (not the lenses themselves, but the cover). First, they were unable to find and match it with a camera lens of the same color of the phone (they gave us back a gold camera lens casing when the phone is blue - we were willing to accept this first gaffe); secondly, and most importantly, when the phone was returned to us, the camera didn't work at ALL; thirdly, to make matters worse, the front facing camera, which was never broken in the first place, stopped working, too; fourthly, they then tried to blame the phone saying it had a pre-existing issue with the motherboard and they could do nothing about it, which was an outright lie! The phone was in perfect working condition except for the camera lenses needing to be replaced; Lastly, and most shockingly, they offered nothing, not even a refund, to try to rectify the situation and extremely unprofessional. I insisted that they put the old lenses back, and he said that they wouldn't work due to the motherboard being damaged, but that he'd try it anyway. Lo and behold, when he put the old lenses back, the phone and camera worked just fine, as they used to, but of course with smudgy images. I, again, had to insist on a refund of our money, it was never offered. If I hadn't insisted on any of this, they would've let us go home with a non-working camera on our phone after having spent over $100 to have them "repair" it. They literally tried to give us back a worse phone after having paid them for their service and then tried to blame the phone when they failed at their job. Unbelievable! Their customer service is appalling as is, obviously, their tech proficiency. read more

Horrible!!! I had my iPhone and iPad repaired here and it cost almost $400. When I got my devices back both screens were poorly installed and did not sit flush around the edges, on my iPad my home button sticks every timeyou touch it.. Neither screen lasted more than a month. I did not slam or drop it, I simply picked it up and right where my thumb was it spider cracked across the whole screen, I paid top dollar because I thought it would be done right, but it was the worst repair I have experienced today. The guy with the booth in the mall did a better job.. One star is overrated.. read more

Awful service! I took my phone to get my rear camera lenses replaced, first I took them 2 weeks to get the part although they charged had already charge me for the part and labor. When I got my phone back after they replaced the lenses, the camera was not working properly, I called and they said to bring it again as dust could have gone in it. I took it in the second time, they put a second lens on my phone but the camera was still not working. When I told them that my camera was working perfectly before they fixed it, they told me it was most likely a phone issue and it was coincidence that it had happen at the same time and they told me to send it to Samsung to get it repair under warranty. I asked for my money back and they told me they could not refund me because they could not know if was their mistake. Do NOT take your phone here, they are over priced, they take no responsibility for their mistakes and they do not honor the warranted. read more

I went in to get my home button fixed and the phone was fine when I picked it up. For 70 bucks very overpriced for the job that they did. When I got home later that night the phone started to have a faded spot in the middle of the screen which was about the size of my thumb. I was very worried but it went away. The next day it did the same thing, now 4 days later it is now the size of the whole screen. I went in to tell the company what was wrong with it but they gave me attitude and said that they didn't do it and that one of my pins might be messed up on my screen. Well one of the pins might be messed up..... Doesn't that mean that the technician messed it up because he was the only one that was messing around with it in my phone. Ohh and if your problem doesn't happen with them then it doesn't exist at all and they look at you like you have three heads. I was then told that I have to pay 100 and something dollars because of there mess up. Overall they messed up my phone and they won't honor there mess up that the technician did. Very poor customer service, they just want your money and don't care about the person using the device. It's called cpr because you will need cpr once you see the prices. read more

First of all, I will say that when it comes to screen repair this place is great. Other than that, my view of this place is less than positive. I took my girlfriend's phone there to get fixed after it suffered water damage and kept saying that it was overheating. When I first got there, the phone was taken apart and cleaned. I was told to see if that helps with the problem, and to come back if it didn't. I went home, the phone still had the same problem. Went back, and they factory reset the phone. We discussed the option of replacing the motherboard if that was the issue. I was quoted a price, but was also told to see if resetting the phone would fix the problem and to come back if it didn't. Went home, still had the same problem, and went back. When I got there, they REFUSED to perform the service that I had been quoted earlier. The excuse I was given? "It'll take me too long." If they weren't planning on doing the repair needed for the phone, they should have never quoted me a price. Also, for a place that is supposed to repair phones, using the excuse that a repair will take too long as a means to refuse service is unacceptable. I left there very unhappy and ended up having to purchase a new phone for my girlfriend. Like I stated earlier, great place to go if you need a new screen, just be careful if you need other services done. read more
