Good Morning after…read morebeing let go from my previous employer after 8 years, I was left wondering what next - and while the world was in the middle of a global pandemic it was a difficult decision to make while locked up in the house Reassessing , I made the choice to learn a new career. the programs at Peloton College offered choice in careers that will give me an edge to maintaining employment and at any part of the country should I need to in any situation . Medical Billing and Coding was my choice , and I was determined to attain to the best of my ability the course program and achieve a new successful career not only was it a challenge to go back to school but to also overcome the fear after not being in school since high school graduation 1989. and at being an older adult I was second guessing my own abilities. from administrators to the faculty, I never had a second thought about the quality of training and empathy I was getting from Peloton College and also the fact that the curriculum was based in a classroom , and having to attend the classes 90% in a online format due to the pandemic made it more challenging to complete, but my instructor gave me the curriculum in a matter that I could understood and surpass my expectation of what I could achieve myself. Ms. Diana Bowie not only made it understandable but also made the complexity of Medical Billing And Coding easy to grasp and learn. Ms.Thomas our instructor was beyond amazing, she has an awesome personality and she knows her stuff. We received clear instructions on how the class would go including skills instruction sheet. We all demonstrated our skills with Ms.Thomas observation and assistance. We went through adults and infants, also instructions for the AED machine. So yes she is very hands on and helpful. Once you complete all videos you will then be instructed to take you test. I do recommend this class, you will not be disappointed!

Scheduling and payment was quick and easy online, and the $60 cost was very affordable. The CPR/AED training took about 1.5 hours and was very good. Only a little video, lots of hands on with the mannequins, and extra info from the live instructor. I definitely recommend the CPR/AED portion. The first aid portion was 30 min and we only watched videos, with 1 epipen injector practice at the end. So if you are someone wanting to get thorough first aid training, this is not for you. For me, this was great since the CPR/AED was very thorough and I only needed this for a required certification. Would definitely come back next time I need to renew my certification!

I started my training at DTS in August of 1993. I had my wife and four children in tow and I was 33…read moreyears old. I had felt called clearly to full time ministry, And so I left my job as an engineer with the Air Force, and with the blessing of our home church and with my wife in agreement we headed for Texas from upstate NY. The seminary was very helpful with finding housing, providing food and other things when needed through an outreach program on the campus. Each semester that I returned to the campus I had tears in my eyes I was so thankful to be there. I often called the professor's "pastors" because that was the heart that they had. I'm not saying it was easy working a part time job teaching preschoolers in day care centers spread all over the metroplex, a janitor at Schofield Memorial Church, and Managing a subway shop and West Fort Worth, and driving an old car from Arlington to Dallas every other day and during summers. But it was a great blessing I will not forget. The Lord led me to use my life and training from DTS at a Christian prep school in Arlington 6 years, as a caregiver at a home for paraplegic and quadriplegic young men, as a youth minister in a Korean church in Irving, and an Asian church in Sugar Land near Houston, at a small church in Lake Placid New York, and another small church in Shirley MA for five years. My last 15 years of "service" were in a school for at risk teens in Euless TX, and here I felt the Lord grow me more than I both deserved and could imagine to help and be blessed by these young people looking who were just looking for a second chance in life. In closing I'll say that DTS not only had great professors, but the curriculum guaranteed that you got to go through every book of the Bible before you graduated. 2 Timothy 4:2
