When I went into the restaurant it started off well but it quickly became terrible and unfortunately after I asked where my mozzarella sticks were She proceeded to lie and tell me that what made them was broken and unable to be fixed. She quickly started having a hard time having patience and she lack of empathy and effort. When she brought my food out she had got my order wrong but told me it was the same thing I ordered knowing it wasn't. I then asked a hole different waitressed to help and she was very helpful and knowledgeable with her surroundings and understanding my situation and why I was upset she then told me that she apologizes for the inconvenience of our first waitress and took the mozzarella sticks off our order. I ordered the Whiting Fish Basket which comes with Fries. But, you have to order Hushpuppies if you want them and I did. Plus, they were so good. I received a lot Whitening Fish fillet but my fries were stuck to the bottom of box because the fish was on top of it and that's why some were stuck. But they were long, fresh, hot and good. But, I give it 4 stars because my fries were little and stuck to my box. However, I'm so glad I went there. The person behind the counter was very pleasant and polite in taking my order. It was my first time visiting here and I will be back the next time I come down from ALABAMA. If you love whitening fish then I recommend you come to OD Crab House. I give it 5 stars. read more

It's honestly hit or miss. The boils are good but the amount of sauce always changes. So that's the only thing. Maybe just ask for extra. Other than that staff is pretty on top of their guest services. read more

This place don't look like much on the outside or inside but don't let that fool you! The food here is on point and delicious not to mention the price is super low too. I've eaten low country boil at some restaurants that charge at least double and it's never been as good as the Crab House. I am and will continue to be a repeat customer. The building needs some love but a guy said he has been coming there for years and the food is good so I stayed and he didn't lie. Definitely falls under the divey category, but once again, do not let the appearance fool you! Food is pretty good. Service & people were killed in outstanding. Portions are huge for the price. Food is cooked when ordered so if you eat in, you will wait just as well for take-out. Call ahead of you know what you want to eat. No waitress/waiter service, so do not expect it. Drinks are bottled/can. Tartar & Cocktail sauce come from packets. Garlic Butter sauce is good and homemade. Also had fresh seafood-including live crab- you can take home and cook your favorite way. So.....people have been telling us to eat here and we finally broke down and did. This place was filthy, I honestly couldnt believe that they stay in business. The table we sat at had an old McDonald's milkshake growing mold in it...how do you miss a cup on the table from McDonald's growing mold?!?! The crab house in Hinesville has been in business for more than 3 decades. Outside appearance is not irrelevant, it's the food and service. The prices are affordable. 99% of customers leave very satisfied. Of course in any type of business there are few that are not satisfied. Ate here for dinner. A family from Louisiana runs this place. Got the low country boil. Crab, shrimp, sausage, and corn all steamed then put in a garlic butter. All for $15. This is a hole in the wall type place that has great food. Very friendly staff. They have booths inside, but you seat yourself after you order from the counter. read more

This seafood is great. My husband had the low country boil and I had the flounder platter. It is definitely a hole in the wall so much so that I thought twice about eating here. But just try to ignore the location, thus the only reason they did not get a 5. Seafood in downtown Savannah costs double and does not taste as good. I have no idea how they stay in operation with their unbelievably cheap prices. Everything on their menu is amazing, Low Country Boil is a must-have. You get snow crab legs, corn, 12 jumbo shrimps, sausage, and potatoes for only 10.99. It is fresh and absolutely to die for, the owners are the nicest people in the world and always try to give me extra food. read more

Their garlic butter sauce is OK, at best. The crab is cooked just right though and brought out hot. Shrimp is good, a little smaller than expected. The seasoning is ho- hum though. Y'all this place was disgusting on the inside, they had old wet boxes in the display window inside next to raw fish that was on light rice. It was dark and dingy. I walked in and was not greeted for about 5 minutes because the people that work there where talking. But that's okay it gave me a chance to look around. Where im from they show you your order before they close the tray and tie the bag. Not here. Ask to see your food before you pay!! I should have. I order their "famous garlic crabs" which i was told were cleaned and some garlic butter for a total of $22. I get home open the tray and it's filled with the smallest crabs i have ever seen and random claws and the little legs that you can't eat. The small crab bodies were also very dirty and had what looked like Ramon noodles coming out of them. I was really craving crabs so i cleaned them and ate them with the garlic butter. They were so small i was fighting with them to get the meat out but when i did it was regular crab flavor didn't taste like the ocean or anything bad. The garlic sauce was really good a little salty but still really good. Overall i would not return especially not for the garlic crab tray. But i heard great things about the low country boil. Absolutely delicious and such a great price for all the food you get!! It's super homey and the owners have been there for 30 years and as soon as you walk in you feel like family!!
