The atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was acceptable; however, the service was extremely disappointing. Our server did not check on our table at any point during the visit, and at one moment even referred to us in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. This was, without question, the worst service I have ever experienced. The two young women at the front--who were not even assigned to our table--assisted us far more than our actual server, and we chose to tip them accordingly. The only reason I am giving this establishment one star is because it is not possible to give zero. I do not recommend dining here. If you do go here do not get Tabby as your waitress. read more

My good friend and I go to OD's every so often for the fish and French fries. The food is always delicious, it's normally quiet in there, and the waiters and waitresses are very friendly. I like the nice booths in the rear section, and how no one is in a rush to get you out the door as soon as you finish the meal. We sit and catch up on everything since our last visit. read more

Great place for seafood. Somewhat empty during the weekday evenings. Fast service. I was in the area on work travel and came here with coworkers to eat somewhere local. When we arrived, no other customers were there. It may have been odd timing on a weekday. However, the staff was friendly and the waitress was great. A couple of coworkers got steamed seafood in the bag. I ended up getting a fried seafood platter and a couple of beers. Everything tasted great and was very hot and fresh. Service was slow and non-attentive. Shrimp and Scallops were sized very small. Portion size was good. The garlic butter and teriyaki coating was meh. We went in for lunch. We ordered the calamari appetizer and they brought it out with our entree. My wife had the fried tilapia and I had the fried whiting. Everything tasted the same, even the french fries. The breading was so thick on my fish that it looked like chicken tender. read more

I came home for the weekend and my dad suggested this place for dinner. I was skeptical since this building has been many different restaurants in the past. However upon walking in, the decor was really nice, looks of seating and we were immediately greeted and seated to a table. Our server was quick and answered all questions we had. I ordered the low country boil with shrimp, clams, sausage and corn. My dad had the catfish and shrimp basket. The food was really good and well seasoned. Visited the restaurant last night with a friend, and had a great time. The service was excellent, and the food was BOMB! Got the 1/2lb snow crab and 1/2lb shrimp, with brocolli, and double red potatoes. Also got a sex on the beach, which was good too. Well seasoned, and cooked mostly well. There were a few pieces of shrimp that turned to mush, which suggests they use frozen, not fresh, shrimp. Which is a shame: this is a coastal area, and fresh shrimp can be found. Another downer is the lack of toilet paper and cleanliness in their bathrooms. Just be sure to use the bathroom PRIOR to your visit. All and all, I'll come back again...and I suggest for anybody to go check them out if you're in the area. read more

Just moved back to Hinesville. Wanted some crab legs so I thought I would take a chance with OD and it was not a good idea. Inside my bag I get a boatload of potatoes and some shrimp but only one crab cluster. For the cost I paid I was better off going to buy a box of crab legs for $30 and would've gotten more. I was hoping this one was similiar to OD seafood in Savannah, but they ARE NOT!! The crablegs dont taste fresh, and I dont like the way they devein the shrimp. The seasoning isn't the same either... I was looking forward to this one opening, shame I'm still willing to drive right past this spot and head to Savannah for good seafood or just make my own. Great food and customer service here! Marcel was our waiter and he was outstanding! Everything was good and clean, even the interior design was appropriately cute and had a fisherman's wharf theme. One small thing though- tables ran out of napkins and even the bathroom ran out of toilet paper. Ahhh it's hit or miss. Some nights it is good. Some nights it is salty and some nights I think the bag has been sitting there for two days straight. I have had the Davy Jones Locker, but those big ol mussel is really killing the flavor. I wish there was an option to build the bag you want, but you have to get what is on the menu. Overall it is a good the few nights we have had it, but I have had way better and wish for the prices we got little more bang for the buck. I still prefer Shuck's if they pick up the phone. read more
