My father loves this restaurant, so we went for breakfast one day. I got the hash brown casserole and found it to be delicious and plentiful but it wasn't perfect. The bacon was burned, and the coffee wasn't hot, only warm. The service was competent and friendly. The ambience is what you would expect which is old-timey ads, washboards, and generalized country decor. I have heard that they are pre-cooking their food now, so that few menu items are freshly cooked which makes me sad. If you don't expect too much, you will enjoy your pre-cooked meal. read more

The order wasn't ready when promised and when it was ready, only one drink was brought out instead of two. The silverware and napkins were also not included. When I asked for them I was told "we don't have any plastic silverware." I said we're staying at the hotel and what was I supposed to do with a bag of food and no way to eat it. She said "I don't know" and started talking to someone else and ignored me. Fortunately our hotel was able to provide some plastic silverware and napkins so we could eat the food. Her level of customer service was nonexistent and the quality of the food wasn't much better as the meatloaf was the worst I've ever had. I should have checked the reviews, but haven't had any issues ordering food from other Cracker Barrel restaurants. I understand why the rating is 2.5 stars and that's over rated. Might need new management honestly to get this place back on track or moving in the right direction. Waited an hour before asking when we would be sat to be told that the manager isn't letting them sit anyone right now (only saw 3 total workers while we were there). In 1 hour they sat a total of 4 people!!! If you are thinking of eating somewhere with a home cooked feeling then don't eat here, just go to the market, get some items, and cook at home! Been 2 years since I ate at a Cracker Barrell. Store was clean upon entrance. Hostess was friendly and quick. Service was fine and quick. Food was fine. It reminded me of times as a kid when my parents would go here alot more back then back home. I was travelling this time and it was right next to the hotel. I took a chance and had a good meal. Early Risers! My family and I arrived when they opened. We totally understand that sometimes things don't go as planned, so we didn't rush in immediately. We gave them a few minutes to handle the small group of people who did enter. Once we did enter, we waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged. Once we were seated we were rushed to place our order. The food arrived fairly quickly. It was obvious that only a portion of the meal had been freshly prepared. Request were made to have some of the items replaced. This really put a damper on enjoying our meal together. We really didn't get to dine together because their was a huge lag in receiving our items. The server didn't offer refills or condiments. She says sorry that she would have told me sooner but she has a lot of things going on in the back (placed the order at 10:19 and the food came out at 10:49 so in 30 minutes, you couldn't have let me know?!?) Okay. The blueberry pancakes I ordered were not edible so I couldn't even eat them. I was disappointed because I paid $20 for the 2 reasons I came to Cracker Barrel (hashbrown casserole and blueberry pancakes) that I didn't even eat. When I checked out, I was asked how it was, to which I responded that it wasn't a good experience. The girl checked me out and that was it. No one was even curious about an unpleasant experience so they could correct it for future customers. Unfortunately I wont be back to patronize this location. I would encourage others to be hesitant about spending their hard earned money at this location and expecting a positive experience.
