I started going here because of a Groupon I got. I must say, I didn't know what to expect. You have to come here with an opened mind and go at your own pace when you first start. They don't baby you here, you are in it for the long haul. All the classes are an hour and there are no breaks, so break when you feel you need to. The music is upbeat and fast! They have Sculpting, Boot Camp, and some great cardio classes. I go about two days a week and can't wait to see results. After the first day I could barely walk, however I felt all my muscles on fire, great full body workout in one hour! If you are serious about losing weight, this is the place to go!

It gives members the option to lift or do additional cardio. However, I thought it was a little strange that members would leave class and come and go from the workout room/class. Isn't that kind of rude? The instructor is super nice. He's got some crazy energy. He's extremely fit. Very personable. I liked him a lot. The kickboxing class is similar to the 24 hour fitness TKB class with a better instructor with crazy energy, better music, and the lighting was club - like. It was kind of dark. It was hard to hear so I got kind of lost with some of the moves. He does not use a mic! Kickboxing was straight cardio. Non-stop! I got a little tired towards the end because I haven't worked out in 3 weeks due to a cold, traveling and other holiday events. Thankfully I survived. This would be a perfect class for men to meet women because there were a ton of women and 1 other male student. I think this is a good class. I can't compare this to my boxing class because it's totally different. Personally I prefer the mitts and glove work versus kicking and punching the air. I like partner work. This class is good for individuals. If I were a resident of the area, I'd definitely pick this over the 24 hour fitness or cross fit.

I gained strength and confidence, while losing inches off my body. My favorite part of the 60 day challenge was the supportive community of other participants. The studio is brand new, clean, and a welcoming atmosphere. They offer mat and reformer classes which I LOVE because it gives you plenty of variety. Some of the classes are heated, too! Luna, Sarah, and Alexis all lead challenging and fun classes that are never the same. We watch UFC fights and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments together outside of class, we go out to eat with our teammates, and even engage in weekend shennanigans with our teammates. The bottom line is if you're looking for a place to train, get in shape, and make some damn good friends, ZR Woodland Hills is for you. As to the post claiming the head instructor operates in a sleazy or unethical way, this is utter nonsense. Professor Bruno goes to great lengths to treat people like people, and has made accommodations on numerous occasions. He runs a gym for the love of the sport, not to get rich; if you have a problem, you can always count on him to do the morally correct thing. Finally, if you're considering sending your children to jiu-jitsu, Professor Bruno is the absolute best. I'm fairly confident Professor Bruno prefers teaching children over adults ("children listen better"), and the man has the patience of a saint.

I didn't even know that you would act in such a vindictive manner towards your past customers, so I signed up yesterday as well and to my surprise and disappointment was the disrespectful treatment I received from you. In my opinion, you are behaving in the most disrespectful way! You notified me while I was looking for parking before entering the class! And you charged me another $30 for a late fee!!!! The height of insolence! I'm still waiting for my money back! Regarding your scheduling and registration, it didn't work for me personally as a mother of 3, so I felt that the money I was paying wasn't worth it to me if I couldn't schedule classes! They're so supportive and most importantly, keep you motivated while checking your form. The classes might be only 30 minutes long, but they are TOUGH and will keep your heart rate pumping. Everyone in the group classes have been super kind and inviting and it's such an awesome community to be a part of.
