I lived many years in Pullman, WA, a college town located 90 miles south of Spokane. For fun and…read moreexcitement, I would often visit Spokane and because I have been an Aveda user for nearly 25 years. I would always visit this store when in Spokane. I no longer live in Washington and because of COVID I have not visited many Aveda stories recently. When I tried to use some of the many Privilege points online, I discovered that the Aveda corporation had eliminated points of anyone who had not purchased an Aveda product in the past year. (For the record I had purchased some Aveda products but the store in Carmel, CA could not access my account so I was not credited). So I had to call the this Spokane store because the online customer service said they would have my account number. Long and short of it, I spoke with Andrea at the store. She was amazingly helpful and was able to get my points reinstated (which were many) and rather than go back online, I just purchased my products from this store over the phone. I always liked this store because they always hired nice and helpful people. Next time I am in Spokane I will visit this store again. Great products, great store staff. Thank you Andrea.

Who wants to mess up your eyes? I digress... As I was perusing the store I noticed a flyer featuring free facials. Who doesn't want a free facial? So, I signed up expecting a "facial" for five minutes. Well, friends, it was totally spa quality and I got over an hour of personal attention- full facial, hand massage, full makeup afterwards, aromatherapy, tea, etc. My skin felt awesome and it was a really personalized, no pressure situation. I recommend their Pure Privlidge rewards program if you shop there because it adds up quickly for freebies of full size tea or other products. I like that they engage locally too- I noticed a Spokane Riverkeeper fundraiser as well. Thanks for the great customer experience!

I went online to find the actual price since this was clearance and brand new it's still 81.00 I checked Ulta online, Nordstrom and macys. All 81.00 This ulta is literally the worst. This is the second time I've bought them doing shady crap.

The reason for my visit was because I received the Ulta holiday gift guide in the mail and saw an OPI holiday nail polish set for a great price. I took my chances coming here hoping they had it at this location, however after thoroughly looking I didn't find it. So I asked a sales associate, who was under what I was referring to and said she didn't remember seeing but went to look anyway. She couldn't find it and asked another sales associate, who also didn't know what I was referring to in their holiday mailer. So I gave up. Since I was there, I decided to look for a mini roller ball perfume, however they had little selection to choose from. When I actually found a perfume I wanted, guess what? They didn't have it in stock. The sales associate let me know I could order it while in-store and have it shipped directly to my home, which I agreed to. At least I discovered that if they're out of stock of a certain item, you can have it shipped to your home for free. This trip wasn't a complete bust, I redeemed my birthday reward and got a mini Murad correcting serum for free. Sign up for Ulta rewards and check out the perks: https://www.ulta.com/rewards/all

I needed to run a quick errand downtown, so I figured I would stop into Sephora to finally get the…read morefoundation I ran out of a while ago. I had my baby and 6YO with me, so I knew this needed to be a quick in and out. When I arrive, I realize I can't even remember the shade I previously had in this foundation. I tell my 6YO "hang tight right here with the baby, I'm going to go talk to that employee right over there" (it's a nightmare navigating the narrow aisles with a stroller). As I'm walking up to the associate, I'm about to catch her attention when another lady approaches her at the same exact time as me, asking her question a split second before I could get mine out. No problem at all, I can wait. I know this associate could identify I was patiently waiting by, but it seemed like she was intentionally avoiding me and as I hear my screaming baby across the store, and don't see any other associate available, I calmly and politely say "I'm so sorry to interrupt you guys, but my baby is crying over there and I just need help with some Haus Lab foundation when someone gets a chance". This associate didn't even make eye contact with me when she said "yep, wait a minute" with a hand gesture as if to tell me to stop talking. Okay, sure. I went back over to my baby and 6YO, unsure if she was going to get someone to help me. As I'm standing there for quite some time, she brings the other lady over to the same exact aisle I'm in and starts color matching her. She never acknowledged me once, while I'm trying to soothe my crying baby, hoping to get a quick sample so I can be out of there. I understand she was helping another gal, but a simple and assuring "I will help you as soon as I can!" would have made a world of a difference. It's clear I was an inconvenience to this associate. I'm still standing there with my children as she walks away with the other lady. Several minutes pass and I'm approached by another associate asking "have you been helped?" I calmly say "no, sadly it seems like I'm being ignored". She happily helped me find my shade and I was out of there within minutes. But I will say, I've never felt so disheartened leaving a Sephora before. This was an awful experience, and I am not looking forward to visiting this Sephora location again.
