Honestly, it was a great store. Cute notions, beautiful selections. I picked up some locally dyed yarns, but I saw a lot of great stuff. They have a wide selection of higher end yarns like marino wool and alpaca which I haven't seen at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. What sold me most is they are a great resource to tap into their knowledge of fibers and techniques. I would not go there to get a kit for your teen to start learning on, get cheaper yarn elsewhere. But for an afghan that will last a lifetime, get the good quality yarn found here. They also have group sessions on Thursday from 1-3 and Friday from 5-7 to meet with other knitters to work on your project and socialize. I recommend you try it.

However, the selection of yarn is fairly limited and each color has about 6-9 rolls/skeins and is also mostly of the same weight. I make a lot of blankets so the amount of skeins they provide just doesn't work for me. Overall, this place is fine for smaller projects but the drive and limited selection just isn't worth it for me to return.

She asked if I was looking for anything in particular and if not, I was welcome to just browse. I mentioned that I was interested in 'DK' weight yarn for a baby item I want to make and she showed me several options, all of which were spot on. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and will make a special effort to go back (I live about 80 miles away) as soon as I have used today's purchase or maybe just to browse!
