I have been going to Crossroads for several years now. I adore Dr. Kang. The other reviews refer…read moreto him as cold, but that is not my experience with him. He is a caring, compassionate man, willing to answer any questions that you have. I have 2 different therapists who were exactly what I needed at different points in my journey. I absolutely recommend the practice. The office staff does suck though! Getting a return phone call takes forever if you ever get one. Wait times are not an issue. I have always be seen on time when I have an appointment with Kang or my therapist.

Worst psychiatrist I've ever had and even worse staff. The other two reviewers here were right on…read morethe money with what they said so I know for a fact that I'm not exaggerating or just complaining to complain here. My psychiatrist, Dr. Jasbir Kang, was generally cold, distant, unemotional and, worst of all, VERY conservative when it came to my medication. If you ask to be put on an antidepressant, rather than starting you off on a normal dose like most doctors would and working your way up to a higher amount if needed, he'll instead opt for an extremely low amount and slowly go up from there, meaning it could take you MONTHS before you're finally at a high enough level to see positive results. As a general rule, antidepressants take around a month to show signs of whether they're working, but only if you're at a reasonable dosage; anything lower than that and you'll be waiting much longer than you should have to in order to tell either way. The only thing I'll give him credit for is the fact that when I was finally able to get my medical records from him, he didn't charge me for them, probably because I only wanted a couple pages out of all of them, so that was nice of him to do. His nurse practitioner was nice and meant well but tended to be forgetful. However, there were several occasions where I was waiting for over an HOUR just to see either of them even though the average length of my appointments was just 10-15 minutes long like everyone else. As for the staff, the best word I'd use to describe them would be "incompetent" because that's truly what they are. They barely know how to do their jobs and are extremely slow in getting anything done. They constantly make poor excuses for forgetting to complete things or just not getting them done at all and have actually lied to my face about some things before. It once took me an entire MONTH just to make an appointment with them after calling them at least THREE TIMES and leaving a voicemail each time. They've recently gotten better with actually answering the phone during business hours but before then for over two years, nine times out of ten, no one at all would pick up the phone and you'd be forced to leave a message and they would MAYBE get back to you by the end of the same week. And may God have mercy on your poor soul if you want to get the TMS procedure done or request your medical records from them because you will be waiting for weeks on end with hearing either very little back from them or just not at all, if not even MONTHS. They once claimed that only one person in their entire office could do the records even though she's sometimes out on leave, which I'm pretty sure was a lie, but even if it wasn't, what kind of moron would only train ONE PERSON in an entire practice to process medical records for what I'm assuming was HUNDREDS of patients? The last couple months that I was a patient and needed some things done that they were slacking off on, it got so bad that I had to be assertive and forceful with them nearly 100% of the time and almost had to tell them how to do their jobs that they were being paid to do yet were clearly ignoring. When a usually kind, introverted person like me is pushed to that point, you know something is very wrong on the other end. There's no reason why it should take an entire month just to get a few years' worth of medical records together, nor a month-and-a-half just to start the TMS treatments which didn't even happen because I was denied by my insurance and wasn't told by the office. Their personalities really come out when you don't let them walk over you like they seem to do with everyone else and they can get very rude, sarcastic and condescending. One of them, a nurse, constantly stutters, backtracks when she's wrong about something and doesn't even look you in the eye when you talk to her half the time. She has no people skills whatsoever and is incredibly frustrating to deal with. While I don't believe that anyone who works at this practice is an inherently bad person, the "services" they provide, if you can even call them that, are absolutely abysmal and less than subpar to really anywhere else that you could go. No one I dealt with there truly cared about me or helping me with my severe mental illnesses. As a patient, you deserve to be treated with compassion, respect and in a timely manner. Here, you won't find any of those things. I've never left a single review before on Yelp or elsewhere for another business/establishment but I almost feel obligated to do so for this practice because I don't want anyone else to suffer for three years like I did before I finally realized what was going on and got out. In short, do NOT come here or send a loved one here for any reason because you will surely regret it like I did.
