Jenn Bowman is the worst psychiatric nurse practitioner I have ever seen or even been around. She…read moreneeds serious help. I don't understand how she has a license and stays employed by Psycare Inc. I went to her at the suggestion of a therapist . The bad: She was to give me TMS treatment and manage medication for MDD, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. During TMS it is protocol not to change a patient's medications. She did so at least once a week. Other things she did terribly: she was only concerned with getting me off of an anti-anxiety medication because she didn't like the dose I was on and she screamed at me that it put her license at risk. She didn't care that my anxiety was extremely bad and she did nothing to help that. The dose I was on is within the drug guidelines for doctors. She got upset that I disagreed with her about changing the dose so rapidly, which is dangerous, so she became vengeful and tapered the dose faster. When I asked if I could at least stay on the higher dose the month I found my mom dead and acquired PTSD, she agreed, but told me her other patients had worse traumas. Mine wasn't that bad. Then the next visit she forgot she agreed to let me stay on the dose and yelled at me furiously for filling the prescription. I started to get scared of her spiteful practices and tried to go back to my previous doctor. She found out and called them, breaking my HIPPA privacy and causing them to cancel my appointment. She then proceeded to call me and wake me up from a nap (I sounded tired), so obviously she decided was was drunk or high and repeatedly screamed that at me while telling me she was dropping me as a patient (without warning, referrals, medication refills, or even finishing TMS). She told me I was non compliant (a nice way of saying you aren't doing what you're told by the doctor) because I had the audacity to follow her ever changing instructions. Literally every week she would give me a different directive and then forget and get mad. She also told me that I'll have a hard time finding someone else because " this is a small town and people talk". Which is illegal (HIPPA). That hilarious part of her screaming diatribe was telling me "you need serious help!!!", which made me laugh out loud because I knew I needed help and was seeing her for it, yet she couldn't effectively do her job and help me. I was left without follow up care and medication necessitating a trip to the psychiatric hospital where they wouldn't give me medicine to get by until I had a new doctor either. What Jenn Bowman did was danger, illegal, unprofessional, and against medical guidelines. She put my already fragile mental health in serious danger and seemed to enjoy doing it. I would suggest anyone considering seeing her stay as far away as possible. Anyone, even a stranger on the street would be better at mental healthcare than her.

I also am in healthcare and she inspired me to go on for my DNP. That review that was below is completely inappropriate. Someone. Is just angry, and taking this out on Dr Bowman for their own lack of responsibility to meet their own health care needs. She is great! Listens to us and focuses on our heathcare needs.

My child went here a few years back for anxiety and saw a great counselor, had no issues. After…read moredeveloping anxiety again, I called to get her rescheduled, that is who my work ins EAP instructed me to use. Front receptionist was rude from the get go. My daughter wanted to see her former counselor, but she's not taking new clients, fine. She needs evening or weekend appointments due to school, you would have thought I asked for the moon and stars. She sighed at me and said that would be difficult, but if she would see a male counselor that would be easier. Well my teenage daughter only feels comfortable with a female counselor. So I asked about the virtual appointments they advertise in their website, and she stated she doesn't even know why that's on there. They don't do them. Finally after going through all of there female counselors, she got her an appointment 2 weeks out on a Saturday, again, not the "within" 24 hours, but at least she didn't have to miss school, which the receptionist suggested. We finally get to our appointment, counselor is running 30 minutes late and we almost leave because we have no idea that she's even showed up. Turns out she's just running late, and my daughter finally gets to see someone. We schedule new appointments at the end and leave. The following week, I get a call from the receptionist to reschedule my appointments we scheduled, which got all screwed up and she ended up double booking my daughters appointments. In 2 months, my daughter has seen her counselor ONE TIME, the receptionist has been so rude, and basically said she didn't care if we stayed at the practice or left. If my daughter had not already built rapport with the counselor we would have left, however, with how bad this anxiety is, this whole situation has made it worse. STEER CLEAR OF THIS TRAINWRECK, ESPECIALLY THE MCMURRAY OFFICE! They DO NOT care about you as a patient! The receptionist Leslie treats you like a nuisance, and so rude. I can't imagine being the patient having to deal with her, she would be the reason I didn't seek treatment at all. I can not speak to the counselors here, but if you want to be treated like you are nothing more than a pain in receptionists behind for having to deal with you, and have her cancel your appointments and double book them, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE!!!

I have been going to Crossroads for several years now. I adore Dr. Kang. The other reviews refer…read moreto him as cold, but that is not my experience with him. He is a caring, compassionate man, willing to answer any questions that you have. I have 2 different therapists who were exactly what I needed at different points in my journey. I absolutely recommend the practice. The office staff does suck though! Getting a return phone call takes forever if you ever get one. Wait times are not an issue. I have always be seen on time when I have an appointment with Kang or my therapist.

Worst psychiatrist I've ever had and even worse staff. The other two reviewers here were right on…read morethe money with what they said so I know for a fact that I'm not exaggerating or just complaining to complain here. My psychiatrist, Dr. Jasbir Kang, was generally cold, distant, unemotional and, worst of all, VERY conservative when it came to my medication. If you ask to be put on an antidepressant, rather than starting you off on a normal dose like most doctors would and working your way up to a higher amount if needed, he'll instead opt for an extremely low amount and slowly go up from there, meaning it could take you MONTHS before you're finally at a high enough level to see positive results. As a general rule, antidepressants take around a month to show signs of whether they're working, but only if you're at a reasonable dosage; anything lower than that and you'll be waiting much longer than you should have to in order to tell either way. The only thing I'll give him credit for is the fact that when I was finally able to get my medical records from him, he didn't charge me for them, probably because I only wanted a couple pages out of all of them, so that was nice of him to do. His nurse practitioner was nice and meant well but tended to be forgetful. However, there were several occasions where I was waiting for over an HOUR just to see either of them even though the average length of my appointments was just 10-15 minutes long like everyone else. As for the staff, the best word I'd use to describe them would be "incompetent" because that's truly what they are. They barely know how to do their jobs and are extremely slow in getting anything done. They constantly make poor excuses for forgetting to complete things or just not getting them done at all and have actually lied to my face about some things before. It once took me an entire MONTH just to make an appointment with them after calling them at least THREE TIMES and leaving a voicemail each time. They've recently gotten better with actually answering the phone during business hours but before then for over two years, nine times out of ten, no one at all would pick up the phone and you'd be forced to leave a message and they would MAYBE get back to you by the end of the same week. And may God have mercy on your poor soul if you want to get the TMS procedure done or request your medical records from them because you will be waiting for weeks on end with hearing either very little back from them or just not at all, if not even MONTHS. They once claimed that only one person in their entire office could do the records even though she's sometimes out on leave, which I'm pretty sure was a lie, but even if it wasn't, what kind of moron would only train ONE PERSON in an entire practice to process medical records for what I'm assuming was HUNDREDS of patients? The last couple months that I was a patient and needed some things done that they were slacking off on, it got so bad that I had to be assertive and forceful with them nearly 100% of the time and almost had to tell them how to do their jobs that they were being paid to do yet were clearly ignoring. When a usually kind, introverted person like me is pushed to that point, you know something is very wrong on the other end. There's no reason why it should take an entire month just to get a few years' worth of medical records together, nor a month-and-a-half just to start the TMS treatments which didn't even happen because I was denied by my insurance and wasn't told by the office. Their personalities really come out when you don't let them walk over you like they seem to do with everyone else and they can get very rude, sarcastic and condescending. One of them, a nurse, constantly stutters, backtracks when she's wrong about something and doesn't even look you in the eye when you talk to her half the time. She has no people skills whatsoever and is incredibly frustrating to deal with. While I don't believe that anyone who works at this practice is an inherently bad person, the "services" they provide, if you can even call them that, are absolutely abysmal and less than subpar to really anywhere else that you could go. No one I dealt with there truly cared about me or helping me with my severe mental illnesses. As a patient, you deserve to be treated with compassion, respect and in a timely manner. Here, you won't find any of those things. I've never left a single review before on Yelp or elsewhere for another business/establishment but I almost feel obligated to do so for this practice because I don't want anyone else to suffer for three years like I did before I finally realized what was going on and got out. In short, do NOT come here or send a loved one here for any reason because you will surely regret it like I did.
