We booked a four-night stay weeks in advance. While my husband was checking in, I took our two dogs out to a secluded grassy area to pee. They were on retractable leashes, and I let them off leash while they peed. As I was walking toward the beach by myself, the employee rushed up to me in a golf cart, stopped abruptly beside me, and immediately began yelling at me and accusing me of letting my dog poop in his grass; and that he knew I knew it because HE kicked up grass afterwards. I explained that my dogs had been peeing and that they are female, so peeing and pooping look very similar, and that one of them kicks grass after she pees. And I told him that if one of them had pooped and I somehow missed it, I would absolutely pick it up, as I always do. Instead of simply asking me to check, he continued yelling, called me a liar, and when I asked him why he was actually yelling at me, he told me he didn't want "disgusting people like me" staying at his RV park. When I again pointed out that he was still yelling at me and acting irrational, he said we were being kicked out and that we had to "get the hell out of here." We completely understand having rules about pets and cleaning up after them. Our dogs go everywhere with us and we always pick up after them. We also spend a lot of time at RV parks and have never experienced an employee acting as mentally unstable or hostile as this person. We no longer felt comfortable or safe staying there and were left without the four-night lodging we had reserved. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here be aware of our experience.

The new owners are great and are improving a lot of things that I understand the old owners left as issues. The manager is AWESOME and so helpful, I'm living by myself and have learned a lot from the manager and the people here. The park is clean, there is a laundry and bathroom/shower facility, as well as a soda machine. Close to town and the beach. I couldn't be happier with my choice of a place to stay. Also VERY dog friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I love dogs and my dog loves everybody here, and everyone is so nice to him.

You're close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there's this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up. It creates the perfect conditions for artists to think, feel, and make work. What makes Arts Week truly special, though, is the people. The group of artists is diverse, thoughtful, and deeply engaged. You're in conversation all day long, whether that's over shared meals, spontaneous collaborations, or late night talks that somehow become the most meaningful part of the experience. It's rare to find a space where people show up this open and this willing to connect. The programming strikes a great balance. There's structure when you want it, like readings, performances, and workshops, but also plenty of unstructured time to follow your own creative instincts. There's also a real sense of care built into the week. The staff and organizers are thoughtful and attentive, and you can feel that they want everyone there to succeed!

The first floor of the historic lodge is very inviting. Listening to vinyl records in the homey living room was relaxing. They offer a good selection of creative snacks, grocery, and nick nacks. Two of the rooms were very spacious, we enjoyed use of the retro kitchen and eating on the balcony. Go enjoy a movie from an ample VHS selection. The door of some trailers were finicky to operate. Other than that the bed sagged a bit and more hooks would have been nice. The proximity to what Long Beach has to offer - including The Depot next door - is a huge plus. This was a great spot for our large wedding party. Props to being dog kind and employing a friendly and accommodating staff.
