I don't need to watch videos or have anyone explain to me the benefits of going to a chiropractor. I just need an adjustment. Plain and simple. Maybe some people need this, but I don't. Don't treat everyone the same. I don't have time for the BS. I understand the process of initial assessment on a first visit, however I expect to get at least one adjustment on my first visit so that my back pain could have some relief. But nope, not here. Maybe on my second visit? Nope. I had to come back again to watch some videos and then possibly start having small adjustments done little by little each time I come back. This Chiropractor doesn't want to go fast. Great, but I still need some relief. Instead, He wants you to come back at least 3x or more a week so he can slowly start working on you. This is a great money maker for him because it requires people to come back over and over and over during the week and hopefully get some relief. I've been to chiropractors on the West coast and they do adjustments on the first day. My last Chiropractor who I miss dearly helped me out right away when I first came in to see her. No videos, no long talks about chiropractors ext... I was only required to come back once a week for adjustments. I understand some people need to possibly come back for more adjustments during the week, but not everyone. This is how this place works. Everyone has to pay up before any real work starts to happen. I've talked to other people who have gone here and they say the same thing. Unfortunately, there are not many choices in Mason city and people don't know better. It shouldn't cost you and arm and a leg to go to the chiropractor. You shouldn't have to make multiple appointments just to get some relief. That should be done right away. Anyway, enough of my rant. If you can. Find someone else.

I made an appointment for my daughter and they got her in the very same day. No waiting. Check in was a breeze. Receptionists were fast and friendly. Come to find out he was saying the same thing to everybody even my own family. And then after the 1st initial appointment, it was quick in and out. Which is not always bad unless he doesn't talk the whole time like. How are you? But what first rubbed me wrong, was in the first appointment. He said people on Medicaid are unreliable, don't show up to their appointments and it was just rude. I had to stop going back because he makes me uncomfortable customer service wise. He's great at what he does but he needs to practice bedside manners. His wife is amazing though. She's the only reason why I'm giving it two stars. Note: I've gone a total of five times, I should have stopped going after that first one with the comment. But I kept giving him A chance. So I stopped going over a year ago and decided maybe I should let other people know about his manners. Because that's why a lot of people would even come to Yelp is to get reviews. No way am I bashing, I am stating a fact that he could be more professional. ( I also run my own business and have reputation. So I know how to act and what to expect from others, especially from a professional setting) Update: he decided to message me personally and this is what he had to say for himself. I just thought you all would like to look at it because I couldn't believe he said it. Again. I understand why you wouldn't take Medicaid people but you don't sit there and tell other clients and patients why. And He's claiming I'm lying pretty much. So I'm bringing it down to one star. He seriously needs to work on his manners. This is highly unprofessional. Everyone has bad days but it doesn't excuse how you talk to others. It wasn't the service I had a problem with or his skills, it was his mouth and how he acts. If you loved your job you would act like it. Also his writing is just like the way he acts in the office. Because I didn't mention time waiting, talking a lot or most of the stuff talking about in the screenshots. So alot what he just said was unnecessary. I was trying to keep this brief and short but he decided he wanted to message so here's an update. And just so you know, doc, Medicaid and Medicare are two completely different things and we are still held accountable if we miss an appointment too. We get in trouble in repercussions too if we miss our appointments. I'm actually surprised if a doctor doesn't know that.

This started with a toothache that would not stop. I was lucky enough to get an appt. to see Dr…read more Hansen. He examined me, took x rays and saw that my tooth was infected and needed to come out immediately. He got me in the next day even though it was his day off, along with his assistant who had the day off also. He performed a root canal and I was in and out in two hours. This was compounded by my medical condition which included chemo therapy. Dr. Hansen even contacted my Hematologist at Mayo Clinic to let him know that this procedure was not invasive and the risk of infection was zero. Dr. Hansen and his assistant went above and beyond on this particular day. He saved me from a great deal of pain and possible complications because of my medical condition. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Hansen and his team!! If you need a dentist, Central Park Dendistry is definitely the place to go!!
