The office representative is unresponsive. Closed during business hours. And does not answer the phone.

I would give this place of business ZERO STARS if it was an option. If I had the financial means I…read morewould rent a billboard to advise others to NOT move into this space. The management rotates as often as the rotisserie chicken at Sam's Club only not as useful. When we moved in the application process was rigorous and took forever. We got into the apartment which was supposed to be turn key. It was far from it. Roaches. Dirty/Sticky cupboards, sticky filthy paint spilled on the floors, nail polish and hair in the bathroom drawers. DISGUSTING . It took 45$ in DRAINO to get the drains to get the water to go down. Maintenance nor management cared about that!! It takes weeks sometimes months to repair anything. You can email or call the office and all they do is placate you to make sure that you keep paying them rent. Our son lives here and went through the entire summer of the HOTTEST months of the year without AC. 7 weeks supposedly waiting on a part. Right!!!!! New Year's there was so much noise in open areas such as the hallways the police had to be called. I could see with my own eyes that the neighbors were doing cocain just by looking in their windows from my own. There is a CONSTANT STENCH OF MARIJUANA here even though it is listed as a SMOKE FREE building and in the lease! Which of course is a breach of the lease but obviously not attended to. Also there are several people here that are obvious firearm owners. Which doesn't bother me normally because we are a Veteran household and firearm owners as well. However, it is bothersome to see people walking around in common areas with AR 15s strapped to their body or hand guns shoved in their waist bands. It's intimidating at best. What is most disturbing to me as someone who resided at this place, is that they are HUD and SECTION 8 approved. Meaning they have clearance by the county and city to get funding and tax breaks. Yet they do NOT regulate their property fairly amongst their residents. We experienced a VERY heated issue between our autistic daughter, our ESA (Lab/Great Pyrenees) & our across the hall neighbor. It became very argumentative and expletives were exchanged. The hallway infrastructure of our apartment filled with more than a dozen people. The husband got in my face and threatened to harm me after I had asked him to go home ( meaning his apartment) with his fists in my face and others closing in that had guns in their waist bands ...I told his wife if she felt she needed to call 911 to go ahead...they started with calling me a racist and to die so I went into my apartment to grab our unloaded 9 mm. Stood in the doorway with it at my side. 53 years old, Caucasian with a medically compromised spouse inside and a special needs daughter who had no idea why the African American lady across the hall rode up the elevator with her and our dog without incident and then stopped quick at the end of the hall surprised our(ESA) she barked and the lady went ballistic!! I end up getting arrested for brandishing a firearm. Because they said I pointed it at them. I'm still fighting it in court. I was told by this buildings management that my 2nd amendment rights do NOT EXIST in their building!! I breached my lease with my actions trying to protect myself and my family. They did absolutely NOTHING about any of my emails I sent prior about safety concerns or other lease infractions. The management are majority African American and I sincerely feel that their behavior is extremely discriminatory in this case and in others. Please be AWARE of this and other things before considering this building as your future residence. It truly is NOT WORTH IT. We have since been evicted and without the money to fight to it. Sad part is we had NEVER MISSED a rent payment! DONT BE FOOLED...THEY TAKE BUT THEY DON'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING BUT, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, DEFAMATION OF CARACHTER, UNEASINESS, FEAR, & THE FEELING OF DESPERATION. The NEWEST MANAGEMENT are so incredibly fake they will serve you a price of cake while slicing your throat open with the same knife they cut your cake with. I know, dark...however grim its my perception and worth sharing if it saves someone else from going through the same thing we have gone through. Just for the record...I live by the belief that "EVERYONE MATTERS OR NO ONE MATTERS" I was only trying to make a home for my family. In a place where we were obviously not welcome. I find this extremely sad.

They tell me I'm fine to go get it so I do . When I come back I ring the bell because the doors are locked they answer and I let them know that the door was locked and that I was back from getting my id . They tell me that they were coming to open the door or that they'd buzz me in . I never got buzzed in so I sat there for a min thinking they'd maybe open the door. I sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to the door . So I left and a little bit later as I was driving around I happen to pass them again door wide open for anyone to come in . I wasted a whole hour with making an appointment with them and etc . I was quite disappointed because I was excited and ready for the tour so I could get an apartment but ig they had other plans, oh and another thing when I called they said I qualified for an apartment 1275 they did the math and everything as soon as I got there a whole different person whom I didn't speak with on the phone reran everything meanwhile the person I did speak with is literally staring me dead in my face while the other person is telling me 1500 dollars.

I moved into my apartment on July 22, 2025, and have had ongoing pest issues since the very beginning. I reported the problem to management multiple times, starting on August 5, 2025, and even paid out of pocket for pest control services myself because the issue continued. Although management claimed pest control was being handled, the technician told me he was only instructed to check for sanitation, not to actually treat the problem and even noted that my apartment was sanitary. Despite that, I continue to deal with flying bugs and other pests. In addition to that, I was told a plumber would be sent to check my drains and that maintenance would replace my garbage disposal, but neither of those repairs has been completed. Communication with management has also been extremely poor . I've sent multiple emails, including a formal notice under Virginia tenant law, and have not received a single response back from my last email. It's been frustrating paying full rent for a unit that's not being properly maintained or treated for infestations. I hope management takes residents' concerns more seriously moving forward. It's frustrating paying full rent while dealing with pests and poor communication. I DO NOT recommend anyone living here. At this point I think it's best for me to leave. I'm refused to continue to live with bugs. And seems like the team here can careless about what I'm going through.

Avianna and Ashley are kind, professional, and genuinely helpful--unfortunately, they're carrying the entire place. Management is almost never onsite, and communication is a joke. Emails take forever to get a response to, if you get one at all. The property manager is consistently rude and acts like interacting with residents is a burden. When she is present, she makes no effort to speak with residents and dismisses concerns by telling everyone to "just email her," which leads nowhere. What really sealed it for me was witnessing the property manager screaming at another resident and calling him a "m****fer" as he walked out. This happened while other residents were nearby, and it was completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. If you're thinking about living here, don't be misled by the friendly front desk staff. The lack of management presence, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct make this place incredibly frustrating to deal with. Look elsewhere.

I've had problems with this washer and dryer combo ever since it was installed. So recently it has not completed a full cycle and has been unbalanced. Maintenance came out twice and was unable to resolve the problem. They finally had a repairman come out, and he apparently told them I overloaded the washer. Um....based on what evidence? In the past, Mayton has gladly allowed me to use a vacant apartment to wash my clothes when there was a problem with this washer. Now, management is not allowing me to do this because it apparently is "my fault" the washer is broken. Additionally, I was advised any additional costs related to the washer will be passed on to me! There are a few problems with this. A) The washer is still under warranty, I would presume. B) My entire life I have always put the same amount of clothes in every washer I've owned and never had a problem. C) This isn't the first time the washer has had problems. D) The shaking and unbalancing unloosened some piece, and a pillowcase was found embedded somewhere in the washer. This apparently is my fault. I was told to make my own arrangements for laundry, so I decided to take my washer/dryer out of storage and install it in my apartment. I asked them to come out and turn the water off because I couldn't reach the valves. They said no, and I'm not allowed to install my own. Um...really? And people are supposed to be practicing social distancing, so all THEIR STAFF are working remotely, but I should go out and find my own arrangements in public. Please believe, I will not be paying any additional costs related to this washer. Please believe, if I can find a way to hook up my own washer and dryer, I will. Please believe, if management had purchased a decent washer and dryer to BEGIN WITH, I wouldn't be in this predicament. Thanks for being completely inconsiderate.
