The places located surrounding The Ella will scream and honk their horns at you if you are even close to their property or on the side walk with your dog which is very unpleasant. Other than those 3 complaints, I love living at The Ella. You definitely get what you pay for. Maintenance is always very helpful when you have a problem. The club house is amazing. The staff is super friendly. All of my neighbors are super friendly and considerate. Location is pretty good. Everything in Scotts Addition is a 5-10 minute walk. The only issue within our apartment that we ever experienced that wasn't immediately handled was a few minor leaks after a very heavy rains. The dog parks nearby are very fun and a nice opportunity to get to know people if you are new to the area. There are also two breweries and a handful of restaurants nearby within walking distance.

I was forced to live with two tone carpet. My list goes on and on. I felt disrespected living there, even though I paid my rent on tie every month. They raise the rent by hundreds annually. The grounds are kept up well, with weekly/biweekly landscaping done throughout the complex. The office continues to create a nice, and inviting environment by organizing monthly holiday theme events. I especially loved their pool safety event, which was held in the pool with our local police officers, fire Department, and community members, who provided information to our youth in regards to pool safety. Afterwards they hung out with the kids for games and snow cones. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

This is the most DISGUSTING apartment building I have ever seen…read more They let tenants leave their dogs pee and poop both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the building. You will be walking around this daily while living here. If you bring this issue up to the leasing office you will be ignored. They have several broken down cars that's been sitting around the building for over a year. An overall trashy look but also taking a valuable free spaces from other tenants as you have to pay extra to park in the parking lot. The leasing office staff is also outrageously rude and lacks urgency/responsibility to the point where I've lived in my unit for over a year yet no one has fully processed my paperwork from renewal. They also will not give you a key fob for every tenant, you have to pay extra if you want every tenant to have a key, yes even if they're on the lease and have already paid the fees associated with doing so. All in all, I have never seen a more disgusting building in Richmond and am utterly shocked at the lack of care from employees at this establishment. Good luck to everyone that has to live here.

Nicole is awful and ruins the residential experience completely. Many of my neighbors are leaving for similar reasons. The trash situation is insane. There is a 50 dollar fine for leaving a box outside your door, my experience was that I hurt my ankle and couldn't carry the box across the complex to the recycling. I left a note on my door and didn't think much more. The office is charging 50 dollars for this. I called and explained and a guy was understanding and said he would waive it. THEN NICOLE COMES ALONG. She decides to press the fee. Absolutely insane that leaving a box - for all of 5 days - is 50 dollars when I left a note explaining I was hurt. Do not live here Nicole will ruin it. Further, they fine you for anything even if she tells you something different. She will tell you to do something then if you do it you get fined by the office. I recommend Creeks Edge!
