My buddy purchased the event tickets and parking ticket online. We were coming from Oakland and arrived to the festival around 2pm. We weren't stuck in traffic for a long period of time compared to other folks and it did not take long for us to get parking. Upon arriving, there were people directing traffic to the parking lot. Once we arrived to the lot, the guys at the lot told us they cannot honor our online parking ticket. They told us that their parking lot is private land, unaffiliated with the event, and that we need to talk to the "organizers" for the online parking. My buddy ended up paying $20. When we arrived to the festival, the line was long to enter and there wasn't any staff or signs to inform people that there was two lines. Once we entered, we found out that there was only ONE crawdad booth at this "Crawdad" festival. We came here strictly for crawdads and waited in line for 3 hours and purchased 8lbs of crawdads only for it to taste like someone who was drunk in the mud. Oh wait, the chef was literally drinking while cooking! No wonder it didn't taste good. I thought I was going to taste some of the best crawdads I've ever had, but nope. It was utterly disappointing and majority of our time was spent standing in line and eating 8lbs of disgusting crawdads. Would I go back again? Sure but I wouldn't waste my time for one single Crawdad booth. They should at least invite local Crawdad/Cajun restaurants and ask them to be a vendor. The point of a "Crawdad" festival is to be themed out with crawdad vendors and festivities! If the "organizer" is reading this, take notes! Shoutout to the local bar with the karaoke joint, that was the best entertainment we've had.

It is wise to step outside your environment and, in the case of this current venture, go visit an Alpaca farm. The Menagerie Hill ranch has beautiful animals. The host was awesome and knowledgeable. We increased our knowledge of the animals and of the farm but also got to feed them. We also had the opportunities to get close and personal with them for pictures. They were all friendly and fluffy. I recommend this unique experience for all because if you do not just break your usual pattern to stop and smell the roses or to pet and feed an Alpaca, life will pass by before you know it. Put your life on pause just for a few hours and go see the Alpacas. They would like to share peace with you. You can find them at the Menagerie Hill Ranch

We stayed in touch over the next several weeks before settling on an August date. We braved the high temps and winding roads to arrive at the ranch. It's a beautiful space on a hillside and you can see the herd and their guardian llama as you pull into the parking lot. We learned a lot about the alpaca life cycle, fed the boys, and my daughter got to hold and carry a cria. We bought two cute alpaca shaped soaps. I didn't experience any of the negativity others have complained about. It is a working ranch so it's not a petting zoo or a tourist attraction. Go with the flow and you'll have a great experience.

However, there were hardly any cars, so we could do a slow, easy drive. It was still magical with lots of lights throughout this neighborhood. The standout feature was that the streets were lined with continuous strings of white lights that swagged down the participating areas, creating lit paths to follow. It was impressive! There were definitely some houses that went above, while others were more simple, but all delightful to see. Here & there, Christmas trees were in the middle of a court or roundabout. We aren't familiar with the neighborhood & lost track of how we meandered through, so next year we'll try to figure out a good route. We'll definitely plan to come back earlier during the next holiday season to enjoy the full experience.

It was a first time for all of us and we weren't sure what to expect. We arrived around 7:30pm and it was already pretty busy, but we found some parking on a nearby street. Most of the streets surrounding Java Court were festively decked out and flooded with people - we made our way over to Java Court and I was so surprised to see a massive Christmas tree in the center of the court. There was Santa and The Grinch happily taking photos with families and a couple of fire pits that people were warming up by! They were handing out candy canes to passing cars and I believe they were even selling hot cocoa in front of a few houses! You can drive around the area, but I highly recommend walking it to fully experience the magic that Rockmont Lights has to offer! Make sure you bundle up though! Rockmont Lights definitely gives Dovewood Court and even some streets in the Fab 40's a run for its money! We will be visiting every year now and making it a new tradition!

Paul was the first person I called and just talking to him made me feel better. He is a kind and genuine person, and he accommodated us every step of the way. Even though he only had two weeks to prepare, Paul and his team absolutely killed it at our wedding! I've lost count of the number of guests who came up to us and told us that Smash City Band was the best live band they have ever seen. One of our groomsmen is a professional musician, and he could not stop raving about how phenomenal each member of Smash City was. He said this multiple times during the wedding night and then called us the next day to reiterate that point. Paul and his band not only saved our wedding, but they were also the reason why our wedding was so much fun and the best night ever for us and all of our guests. They were easily the highlight of our wedding, and they made us thankful that our original band canceled on us! I cannot recommend and praise Paul and Smash City enough!!!! Please hire them so I can crash your event and enjoy their performance again (haha jk about crashing your event! But I'm serious about you hiring them...)

After scouring…read moreYelp and Google and coming across countless options that were not a fit, we had almost given up hope. Luckily, we discovered Ryan's page about a month and a half out from our wedding! Ryan's officiating services are unbeatable. From the moment we met him, we were relieved that we had someone young, well spoken and very professional. We were asked a series of questions to get to know us, but our conversation flowed so naturally that the questions just answered themselves through our normal discourse. We had many laughs, tears of emotion, collaborative moments, emotional moments, therapeutic moments, you name it! Our meetings felt comforting and genuine and I 100% guarantee that we could not have had that experience with another person. Ryan met with us very often prior to our wedding to make sure that the final script was right. He played well into our fun and joyful moments as well as our romantic side. Great and friendly sense of humor and a neutral perspective. My wife's side is Buddhist, my side is Catholic but his speech respected both sides without issue. He got to know us very well and it reflected in his speech. Our wedding was really small and intimate with only our immediate family present, but somehow it felt as if Ryan were one of us. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Highly recommend Ryan!! Thanks.

She had a promo for new clients of $40 for any readings. I contacted her because I still needed clarity that the first two people I went to could not provide. She asked me to send her $40 through CashApp or Zelle and I obliged. I sent her the money and she told me she's finishing up with a client. I should've seen the red flag. She was responding to my text WHILE she was with a client? How's that possible? Anyway, she then texted me that she will call me in the next 15-25 minutes and thanked me for my patience. So I wait, 9:30 rolls in and she didn't call. I followed up with text, no response. Now it's getting closer to 9:45 pm, no response. I followed up again with a text, no response. Now it's 10 pm. I followed up again and no response. I texted again and no response. I told myself giver her another ten minutes although my gut was telling me "nah that's too late." and I was right. DO NOT ask for phone readings from her. Do not use CashApp or Zelle because your bank cannot dispute that. Any psychic worth their scent will have credit card payments on their website because if they can't deliver the services, you can stop that payment so they don't get it. I paid her money for services to which she failed to deliver. If there was an issue that should have been communicated with me. I texted her to give me a refund, it is now 10:30 am and there is still no response from her. I doubt she'll refund my money. For someone who claims they're there to help, not communicating is a big as* red flag. DO NOT use her services. Her name on her CashApp is different from "Anne's"-- why are your names different? Sh*** that's another red flag I ignored. She took advantage of my confusion about my situation, took my money and ran. If she has a rebuttal, I'd like to hear it so I can counter and provide proof of my claims--which are true. Look at the time stamps on the photos. You have been warned.
