Instead of apologizing or replacing the meal, she offered a $1.99 discount on a plate that cost over $25. As a former restaurant manager myself, I know how situations like this should be handled--with care, professionalism, and at the very least a sincere apology. The manager, Kaylan, was rude and didn't even remove the plate from our table. The whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth, and unfortunately, we won't be returning. UPDATE: The General Manager Joshua Spell made the matter right with a sincere apology letter and gift card, and reassured us that the manager who attended to the matter that night would be trained on how to handle the situation better in the future.
