My project coordinator, Alex, was unprofessional and difficult to work with. Because the on-site contractors did not speak English, I had to rely entirely on Alex to relay instructions, which led to major misunderstandings. For example, during the installation of a glass shield, it was clear that Alex and the contractors were not on the same page. I immediately called Alex and requested that we hold off on that portion for a couple of days to sort it out. He dismissively told me, "No, we're doing it now." Predictably, the glass was installed with extremely poor quality and would not have lasted a year. While the manager, John, eventually stepped in and replaced it, the situation should have been avoided entirely.Furthermore, I experienced pushback from John early on. I purchased veined tile and wanted to review the layout beforehand to ensure the pattern flowed correctly. Alex told me that the installer, Ethan, only lays tile and does not handle the design or layout. When I tried to oversee this, John accused me of "micromanaging" and told me to just trust their work. Unfortunately, my instincts were correct--the final floor tile layout looks completely uneven and poorly planned.To make matters worse, I was charged an extra $500 to install a floating vanity, which they mounted far too high. I literally have to stand on my tiptoes just to lean over and brush my teeth. When I brought this to their attention, they blamed the issue entirely on the plumbing. I have since had an independent professional inspect it, and they confirmed the plumbing was not the issue at all; it was simply a bad installation.I paid this company in full, but did not get the quality or outcome I was promised. They offered zero compensation or partial refunds for these permanent mistakes. Please be very careful if you choose to use this company for your remodeling needs.

I recently hired them to do some emergency water extraction from my flooded basement and while the technical crew who performed the work, were fine, as was the quality of the work, the lack of direct and clear communication from the office staff is extremely poor and unacceptable. There are way better companies out there who will respond just as quickly in emergency situations, with more professionalism and far less misunderstanding.

The experience with this company started well but turned to the worst in the end. The job was for…read moremold remediation. They did a good job to remove the mold, I give them that. However, as part of the remediation job, they had to remove a large piece of dry wall. The removal was included in the scope of work. It's my own stupidity to interpret that as the same dry wall will be replaced to put the place back to its original condition. The remediation person also said that the dry wall will be removed and replaced afterwards. It's also my own stupidity to interpret both removing and replacing are part of the same job. After the remediation was completed, they also told me verbally that "don't worry, the wall will be fixed". But no, the replacement is not part of the quote and they conveniently left that out. When I called to discuss, they (Kevin, Phil and Juan) said it's my own fault for not reading the scope carefully and for misinterpreting that replacing the dry wall was included in the scope. I'll eat this myself and lesson learned. And I just want to share my story as to this is how GTA Restoration conduct businesses with their customers. Now I will never work again with this company nor will I recommend to anyone because how they have cheated and taken advantage.
